I never noticed that the alters on Towers of Doom actually change based on the map status. In the picture below the alter has one extra blue flourish since we captured the lower fort of the enemy. Pretty cool.

Can't you guys really just add the mount separately to the Shop in the Mount section and make it unpurchasable, with a note that it's only available in that one, particular bundle?

That way we could at least click it and check the 2 remaining color variations.

HeyGuys,

With our recent qualification into HGC next year, we (DTS) are being required to change our team name to something that is more.. professional. In the spirit of the holiday season, we'd like YOU to pick our name for us! The highest rated comment in this thread by Monday (26th) with a team name suggestion will be our new team name in the HGC league for 2017.

There will be a few rules though:

  • It needs to be something that Blizzard will actually accept. Use reference to our current team name which isn't acceptable.

  • It can't include the names of any players, whether they are on our team or other teams.

  • Nothing offensive or hateful.

  • No type of endorsement.

Additionally, if/when we secure a sponsor and become contracted, it is likely that we will be required to rename in accordance with that sponsor.

If the highest rated name isn't acceptable to Blizzard then the second highest will be chosen, and so on.

Go crazy everyone! We have no idea what to expect.

Note: Nearly every value in this post scale the same way so they will all be converting in Johanna % base MaxHP to be reproducible at all level. (Base = don't take possible bonus HP from talent)

Note2: A many part of the post is about Data to give a context to comparison. The parts about interpretation of those numbers are: - I.B.3 - I.C - III

Abbreviation use:

AH = Amplified Healing CD = Cooldown HPse = Healing per seconds of effect HP = Health Point %HP = Base Max health point %HP/sec or %HPS = Base MaxHP regen per second HPS = Heal per seconds LoH = Laws of Hope LvL = Level

I) Self-healing source A) Data 1) Amplified Healing (AH) Passive Bonus: 30% heal bonus from all heal source Bonus on - Base heal regen: 0,0624% HP/sec - Globe 3,51% HP/Globe | 0.117% HP/sec if every 30sec - Fontaine 11,7% HP/Fountain | 0,0975% HP/sec if every 120sec

2) Laws of Hope (LoH) Healing from passive bonus regen = 0.407% HP/sec Heal from active: - 20% HP over 4 sec | 60sec CD - HPSE = 5%/sec | HPS= 0.33% HP/sec

3) Part3: Fast conclusion on Master of regeneration AH Have a stronger synergy with Master of regeneration than LoH . Only with the synergy on HP regen AH match the heal from LoH in 11.11 sec. Even if LoH is spam regen from AH will heal 5.4x more. Master of regenation increases Heals from fountain and globe and AH increases again this wich give a Triple synergy. AH benefits start at the first globe. LoH can give a heal 1.78x stronger than HP regen give by AH over 4sec but this seem to weak to be see like a truly interesting. "Burst of heal" need to be use at the good moment to have an interest and AH will have basically give you the amouth of heal give by the burst before you need it. http://imgur.com/5yF2ewF

C) Conclusion on Self-healing source

1) Out Of Fight Condition of Out of Fight: - Johanna don't use LoH active - Johanna find globe every 30 sec and use fountain every 120 sec

a) Without Master of regeneration Without master of regeneration LoH passive regeneration is stronger than Heal provide by AH. Even if you grab a Globe every 30 sec and Fountain every 120 sec LoH passive is 1,47x stronger than AH. Even at 2 Globe every 30 sec LoH Is still strictly superior with passive heal. And you have a nice burst of heal if need.

b) With Master of regeneration
LoH break even at lvl 29 Array AH VS LoH Out of fight: http://imgur.com/qtbqtsr But like the condition are too much optimal let's try try with suboptimal condition If we half frequency of Globe and Fountain LoH break even at lvl 27 Array for Half frenquency http://imgur.com/O67BAed If Johanna use LoH every 60sec -> LoH is strictly stronger from LvL 1 to lvl 30 Array with LoH spam http://imgur.com/BPIbJOp

2) In Fight Condition in Fight: - Johanna use LoH active. - Johanna doesn't find globe and doesn't use fountain .

LoH was strictly better out of fight he is only stronger within fight

AH vs LoH Is 6,54x stronger without active and 11,88x stronger with active spam

3) In or out of fight

During or out of fight LoH is strictly better than AH if there is no extra source of healing than what is give by the game.

II) With Healer

  • I will not use the Synergy with master of regeneration for calcul
  • I will focus on %HP/sec AH will give because Johanna is seldom afraid by burst and is more looking for a sustain source of healing
  • I only use healing bacics ability and Ultimate HPS from AH -> http://imgur.com/gMOSin7 LoH don't have synergy with an exterior healing source so the first question is : " Is the Extra heal give by AH from Exterior healing enough to offset the difference?" Condition of awnser: there is only you the healer focus you and spam heal on you Second question "will be the healer will do it ?" Condition of awnser you are not alone

Or say an other way is:

  • AH %HPS > 0.679%HP ?
  • How the heal will react if there is over target ?

A) BW Even if she spam Blink on you, she will not have enough mono target heal to out heal LoH

B) Kharazim If he spawn "Breath of Heaven" and atk in continue with Transcendence he can out come LoH on you (1.039 HPS) . And AH>LoH if Kharazim atk/sec> 0.789 Is it realist? Only with transcendence and if Kharazim can atk more than 0.789/sec and you are the only target for it. I don't play him so much and only with dps build so I can hardly awnser truly to this but I think it is hard for him to have constant atk on hero. I would say LoH is better with a Kharazim unless you know he will be able to atk a lot with transcendence and you will be the only healing target and I think if he you have a offtank/Melee assassin they will drink the heal or even khara in front will heal himself because he will be focus more than you. Note: Analysis with talent could have more interest for him.

C) Li Li Healing Brew alone beat LoH (0.8 >0. 679). So this is more up to you to analyses the situation, If think you will soak the main of the dmg you can maybe take AH and it would be more effective if lili go on a healing build.

D) Morales The beam can easy outcome the healing of LoH (2.35%HPS) Morales will need to heal you 8.5sec every min to give more value to AH than LoH Seem realist if you peel and if your team wait to be engage because if your team engage morales will hardly follow you ( as example if they have an etc he will slide her and put her out of position) but this is basically because if morales is in your team you want to be engage if you play well with her AH should be a good pick .

E) Malfurion If malfurion Spam Regrowth on you AH have more value than LoH, Malf need to regrow you more than one time every 6.13 sec on you to keep AH>LoH Malf will us it on you every 5 , 10 and 15 sec and want to use it on 3 player to get the more value from his Regrowth so unless you are in a critical situation you will get it every 15 or 10 sec So LoH have more value If your malf use tranquility he would need to use Regrowth more than every 9.11 sec to give AH more value than LoH CCL on malf: I think that LoH is better, what ever the ultimate is choose but if you know your malf go tranquility and that there will be short fight AH can have more value because the Low HPS on tranquility come from the high cd on short fight Tranquility value is higher ( if the fight is shorter than 55 sec the tranquility give enouth value to AH to win against LoH)

F) Reghar Reghar don't have enouth HPS to give AH more value than LoH If fight are shoorter than 85 sec and Reghar use Ancestral Healing and Spam Chain heal on you AH have more value, but It is hard to predict on who Ancestral Healing would be use and it would be dumb to let you valla die because your jo need you Ancestral Healing to have more value from a talent so basicly LoH have more value.

G) Tyrand Can't Give more value to AH than LoH

H) Uther Can't give more value to Ah than LoH

I) Extra: E.T.C. Prog Rock will give 0.305 %HPS in more to your sup up to 0.610%HPS with synergy with Aggressive Shredding

III) Final Conclusion

To give more value to AH than LoH you will need to have 2 healer in your team or morales in an passive team. Because even if AH can match LoH value in few situation the independence give by LoH have much value in HL

The extra mana regeneration give by AH out of fight can avoide you to have to back during the game if AH and LoH value are close this can be a good choose

Now that Ragnaros dropped to 10k, I reached a personal goal of mine.

I started playing in April 2015, and I now, for the first time, own every single hero in the game. In last March, I calculated that if I kept doing my dailies every single day, it'd take a year to complete my hero collection. Of course, back then I couldn't have predicted the Machines of War extra gold event, or the weekly brawls. But anyway, I now own every single hero in the game. Only Lt. Morales was bought with real money, Diablo came with Diablo 3, Artanis came with Legacy of the Void and Tracer came with Overwatch. Along the way I also used 20k gold for the piggy mount (the first thing I actually purchased in HotS) and 10k for the Brightwing master skin. I've also only purchased a single 30 day stimpack during the time I've been playing. I usually just play my dailies each day, and not much extra.

Anyway, thanks for viewing my useless achievement, have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

So it displays a HUGE "UNSTOPPABLE" on him yet he can be slowed. Just try it in Try mode against Arthas. Shouldn't Unstoppable ignore slows as well? I've noticed this quite a lot on Keg in games as well and it's really making the ult worse a lot if slowed.

TIL that if Coins are dropped in a bush on BHB they don't appear on minimap.

Went into bruiser camp shortly after TF and found 2 coins in the bush near them. Never knew this, would usually use this for coins leftover at camp because someone forgot to take them. This normally would be self-explanatory but I've actually never ran into this encounter before (or maybe I just don't look at minimap when I collect coins in a bush lol). Keep an eye on where heroes drop coins!

Would be nice to see it in ARAM. Almost-random allows to skip heroes I don't like while still being random.

Or if possible maybe enable us to add mutators from brawl to Custom Games (like spawning snowballs or 10 same heroes for example)?

Virtually unplayable with a friend?

Been running into this problem for a few weeks now when we try to play ranked together http://imgur.com/a/MsjAN

We moved from dota to heroes because the game length was more appropriate for us, however now we have half hour queues on top of twenty minute games which negates this entirely. Is this an issue that's being looked into? We queue together in dota and have no problems finding a game same with league but in heroes its impossible for us to play competitive together.

With Denial eSports parting ways from the players, maybe it's time for a crowdfunded team?

From a team perspective, I think a fan funded club can enjoy stability and decisions that doesn't involve financial considerations. Winning funds can be distributed back to stakeholders OR retained by the team and in return fans will get community events.

On the Marauder Muradin home screen, when he fires a grenade at the ground one of the bits of rubble that flies out of the blast is Frostmourne. Arthas even died on the home screen.

Uther needs a look.

So, Uther has consistently been one of the lowest performing Supports in the game for close to a year. He used to be the most contested Support in competitive play due to the impact of his Divine Shield, and trait. Those things have been nerfed heavily, while Supports like Rehgar and Kharazim that fill a similar role have been buffed.

So my first question is what is Uthers role/niche? I think he is supposed to be a front line support, but instead of being aggressive like Rehgar, or mobile like Kharazim he is supposed to be tanky. He has a solid amount of HP, but he lost Block during his rework and really doesn't have many defensive options in this talent tree. His other big issue is mana consumption. Holy Light costs an insane 90 mana, more than most Ults. For a melee hero his AA damage is also very weak. For a Paladin with no mobility his AAs merely tickle.

In general his talent tree is pretty good. He has few significantly underperforming or overperforming talents. I think his base kit is the biggest issue, and talent changes should be more intended to diversify playstyles as opposed to pure balance.

So here are my recommended changes for Uther:

Base kit:

  • Base AA damage changed from 78 to 98

  • Holy Light mana cost changed from 90 to 75

Basically want to get his AA damage on par with most tanks, and make him a little less mana dependant.

Talents:

Level 1

  • Lightbringer's Pursuit - Gathering Regen Globes increases your mana regen. After gathering 25 Globes Holy Light Heals for an additional 10% of the targets max HP.

  • Wave of Light - Each hero healed by Holy Radiance permanently reduces the mana cost of the ability by 0.5, max 25. After healing 50 allies with Holy Radiance, permanently reduce the cooldown of Holy Radiance by 2 seconds.

  • Hammer of the Lightbringer – Basic attacks restore 6 mana and basic attacks against heroes grant you 25% resistant for 2 seconds.

  • Burden of Guilt – After Hammer of Justice fades, enemy movement speed is slowed by 30% for 2 seconds.

Level 4

  • Fist of Justice – Basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Hammer of justice by 1 second.

  • Beacon of Light – You heal yourself for 30% of your basic attack damage and 30% of all healing done to allied Heroes.

  • Protective Shield – Unchanged

Level 7

  • Boundless Conviction – Increases length and width of Holy Radiance by 40%

  • Holy Fire – Deal 19 (4% per lvl) to nearby enemies. Basic attacks agaisnt enemy heroes increase this damage by 15% for 3 seconds. Stacks up to 4 times.

  • Cleanse – Unchanged

Level 10 - Unchanged

Level 13

  • Blessed Champion – Unchanged

  • Spell Shield – Unchanged

  • Holy Shock – Unchanged

  • Defender of Lordaeron – Hammer of Justice now reduces enemy damage by 50% for 2 seconds after the stun expires. Upon hitting 10 enemies with Hammer of Justice Uther gains 500 health.

Level 16

  • Gathering Radiance – Unchanged

  • Focus of Lordaeron – Basic ability cooldowns regenerate 10% faster for every 10% life you are missing.

  • Righteous Defense – Unchanged.

  • Benediction – Unchanged

Level 20 - Unchanged

As I said, Uther's talents were pretty balanced. Most of the changes are to early game talents with the intention of increasing his survivability in melee combat. HotL and BoL now give him resistant and self healing from his AAs. Slightly nerfed Holy Fire as it already performed well, and would synergize with the other changes. It now requires 1 more stack for full effect.

Other major changes would be hero specific versions of Conjurer's Pursuit, Shrink Ray, and Hardened focus, and making Wave of Light a quest talent. The new Lightbringer's Pursuit now emphasizes Uther's role as a great single target healer. Wave of Light gives him an option for more sustained healing.

Shrink Ray doesn't fit Uther thematically. Changed to Defender of Lordaeron, and added the damage reduction to his Hammer of Justice. Reduced the duration to 2 seconds and removed the slow due to HoJ's lower CD yet added a quest talent that give him additional Health to fit his tanky theme.

Hardened Focus didn't make much sense for a melee healer, since it discourages your from taking damage. Focus of Lordaeron now encourages Uther to be in the front line taking damage and make him more powerful the less health he has. I think that should make his front line playstyle more appealing and impactful.

Let me know what you think. I don't expect everything to be 100% balanced, but hey, Blizzard doesn't hit the bullseye with every change either. At the least I think these changes would make him more fun, give him more varied playstyles, and make him fit both the role of a paladin and the fantasy of Uther.

I played three TL games today. I'm Diamond 5, and was queuing with other Diamond and Plat players (5 stack). We ended up, all three games, against a trio consisting of a GM#10, a Diamond 3, and a Bronze 1. There's no way in hell that guy was actually a Bronze, it was pretty obvious.

There are two obvious abuses here, then. One, someone tanked a smurf to Bronze MMR, ruining who knows how many people's games on the way down. And two, they're clearly boosting the GM#10 with an artificially deflated MMR, ruining who knows how many people's games on the way up.

Honestly, even though we won 1 out of 3, we were pretty frustrated and I had to stop playing. At first I was all for the removal of rank restrictions, but I think Blizzard should reinstate them, maybe just with looser boundaries (i.e. two divisions instead of one). Yeah, these guys could have cheesed with a 5 man but that requires five scumbags instead of just three ;)

EDIT: These two players are OBVIOUSLY boosting. I won't call out names because I don't want to start a witch hunt but you can search my username on hotslogs and see for yourself.

These guys should be banned.
