We're Sco and Rogerbrown of Method, one of the top World of Warcraft raiding guilds in the world. We just got world first Mythic Helya. Ask us anything!
Posted: 19 Dec 2016 11:32 AM PST
Hi everyone! We are Esports Organization and World of Warcraft Guild Method (Tarren Mill-EU). I'm Comm/Esports Manager Darrie, and I'm happy to introduce Sco (GM and founder of the guild, Protection Warrior) and Rogerbrown (Raid Strategy and Marksman Hunter). Sco and Rogerbrown have been keeping very busy lately, including recently getting world first Mythic Helya and partnering with Forge. Ask them anything!

Rogue Nightbane Spawning Trick/Guide/Info
Posted: 19 Dec 2016 08:27 PM PST
So I've been doing Nightbane with friends and guildies for a few weeks now, and according to our tank who did it without me once (what a jerk) it's significantly easier with a rogue who knows the strategy. It's going to be even better once we get Shroud of Concealment back, but here's the general plan:
Everything up to Opera is just like normal, pull all the trash, kill it while Opera RPs, kill the Opera boss. If you have time left before you need to touch the first crystal, stay with your group and kill the backstage mobs. If not, make sure vanish is up at the end of Opera and skip to the crystal. Most groups invis pot through the firelands portal mob room to save time, if not you'll probably want to grab the crystal at this point anyways.
Distract the Flashlight guy who's standing in the front corner of the audience, walk over to the crystal, click it, vanish. The channel will complete while you're vanished and you'll be fine. Nobody else will get the buff but that's ok! The group can now skip the audience mobs and go straight towards Maiden.
You'll need to clear the hallway up to Maiden, but you don't need to enter the room with the crystal. The mobs in the hallway have stealth detect so you can't just super-cheese it. Once the hallway is clear, the group heads to drop to Moroes while you stealth into the room. Edit: Credit to u/triggz - You don't have to clear the maidens hallway at all. Distract the first set of detectors and hop behind the book cases.
Again, click the crystal and vanish. This time, watch your debuffs because you'll likely get 1-2 stacks of a magic DoT which you need to cloak off before vanish ends or you'll get pulled out and die. You also can't cloak early, they apply through it. Dying isn't terrible, you can stealth past the spirit and shortcut to Moroes. Either way, head with your friends to Moroes.
After Moroes dies, make sure to click his crystal. NOBODY HERE HAS FORGOTTEN TO DO THAT SO DON'T ASK but just make sure to do it. Your group can go suicide and start heading to Curator, but you have important things to do. Now comes the fun part, solo spider adventure time!
The spider area is a little tough because there are 3 or 4 patrolling purple spiders who have stealth detect. One of them patrols the middle of the room with the crystal. Get your quick fingers ready because you'll need to shadowstep to these guys and sap them before they detect you inside their radius. It's not hard, just requires a little speed. The difficult part is learning how they patrol so you only have to do this twice, maybe three times. Either way, it takes you 45s-1m15s depending on how many times you have to shadowstep sap. If you're REALLY pressed for time you can sprint at them and sap, but not recommended.
Walk across the final web, click the crystal before the spider from the ceiling can detect you, vanish. Once the channel is through you can take the convenient portal behind you to the dungeon entrance! Go meet your group who had better be in Curator's hallway by now the ungrateful jerks, kill Curator, get the crystal, spawn Nightbane!
Since I've got this down I'm now asked to come to three or four Nightbane groups a week with guildies/friends, because it's just that much easier to spawn him with a rogue compared to a normal group. The plus side is I can use coins on him still (hello 875 Vendetta Iron relic) and be generally grumpy towards whichever group makes me do it a third time that week because they want me there enough they have to deal with it.
Hopefully you or your rogue friend can get this down, the only real involved part is the spider area. but once you do it a couple times it's pretty straightforward. I reached Curator with 10-15 minutes on the buff in all the runs I did this week, it takes the pressure off a bit to be speed pulling everything constantly. Good luck on your Nightbaning, may rogues always get the first mount for a group (like I did).

We have dungeon preparation, why not dungeon unprep?
Posted: 19 Dec 2016 07:38 AM PST
Got a dungeon queue pop while doing some world quests and changed to some very much better dungeon talents. Now I'm back in world quest land and don't want to hearth, fly back and run to where I am now for a vastly better questing experience. Just another lil' minute buff to get things back in order would be swell, ya dig?

Old WoW player that does adult films now - need help remembering name
Posted: 19 Dec 2016 03:22 AM PST
There was an old hardcore raider that used to play with Kungen that does adult films now. Anyone know her name? I'm having difficulty remembering. She was a priest, if that helps.
EDIT: Found her boys. Pack it up. Khaya Peake for those interested.

Does anyone else find the whole training the withered thing to be kind of sick?

I mean we're basically luring a bunch of heroin addicts into our service with methadone treatment and then forcing them to learn how to fight, exposing them to demonic energies and who knows what else.
Does anyone else find this really messed up?

What made you laugh the most?
You make a nomination for something that was a 'best' and tell us why you think it should win.
This is the nomination thread only - we'll have some kind of voting right near the end of the month! Nominations will be open through until 11:59EST on the 27th, and then voting will begin.
Here are some examples from last year:
