TL;DR: Major locations/temples and major character names will be allowed in titles with the release of the game. Titles still must be vague and cannot divulge storylines. Boss names, dungeon weapons, plot points are not allowed in titles.

Titles must begin with [SPOILERS] when discussing the game or they will be removed.

[BOTW] How would you have made the Yiga more of a credible threat?

Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:54 PM PDT

Pretty much everyone agrees that the Yiga Clan were little more than an annoyance unless you were in their hideout. Even the Blademasters weren't that threatening once you got to late-game gear, and them showing up was always more of a "this again?" moment rather than an "oh man, this isn't good" moment.

To that end, how would you have made the Yiga more credibly threatening?

So I just played Breath of the Wild for the first time.

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 08:40 AM PDT

After a few days of playing I'd uncovered all but three regions and freed the elephant.

Then I went to hyrule castle just to look around and accidentally walked into ganon's room.

So I beat the bosses first try. The last boss on the field is really lame btw.

After the cutscene and credits I reloaded my save file to it at 15%. I love that there's still so much to see, I haven't even been to death mountain or the desert yet.

Any tips on stuff I should check out or explore next?

I still need to get both the dlc too.

Beat Zelda 2 today, no cheats

Posted: 02 Sep 2018 03:21 PM PDT

First time I have beaten it since I was a kid (with game genie). I thought it was impossible. Most unforgiving Zelda game ever. one more thing crossed off the bucket list. How many of you guys have done this?

New Character Dynamics

Posted: 02 Sep 2018 07:09 PM PDT

All opinions of the story of Zelda games aside, it would be interesting to see new, different dynamics between the 3 wielders of the triforce pieces. Relationships such as Zelda and Link being brother and sister, Zelda being Link's mother, Ganadorf being a life-long friend of Link, etc. I digress. What kind of fresh character arcs would you like to see in the next Zelda?

Twilight princess Wii or Gamecube?

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 06:10 AM PDT

I have a CRT and I will be playing it on that from my wii.

From what I understand the wii has widescreen and my CRT has a wide screen mode so that is nice but it's mirrored and that is not so nice.

Is there any way to un mirror the wii version or play the GC version in 16:9? Do the two versions have any differences apart from the mirror and aspect ratio? What one would you recommend?

Name your favorite thing about you least favorite Zelda game

Posted: 03 Sep 2018 06:01 AM PDT

I hate A Link Between Worlds, but its music is third only to Breath of The Wild, and Majora's Masks music. That might not sound like much but those are some high pedestals to be put against.

I've been thinking about Majora's Mask

Posted: 02 Sep 2018 02:03 PM PDT

That game still stands out to me among all the Zelda games. It's still the darkest and unique. I don't know how the developers pushed it out in a year. It has so much atmosphere and the time travel mechanic that had never been seen before or ever since. I've seen reviews that claim that the original is still better than the 3DS version, which is a shame because I would have liked to play it with some better graphics and new features.

I played the version that was on the Gamecube Collector's disc. I think that game really marked a certain time in my childhood when afterwards I was considered older or a teenager or something. I took the time and 100% cleared it. I think I would like to replay it now, but honestly I already have such a backlog of games I don't think I'd ever get to it.
