Will PUBG ever come to par on regular Xbox One (S) as it is on Xbox One X and maybe lower/mid PC?

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 07:52 AM PDT

This is not a shitpost or anything.

I'm just a dad that likes to play shooters, and PUBG was a lot of fun when it first came out because as a "Game Preview," all of the early bugs, glitches, poor quality, lagging, etc was excusable.

But as time has gone on, it's hard to continue to play. Coworkers are always asking me if I'm going to be back on PUBG, and I said maybe after today's release.

I played several games this morning and yea, the game loads in much better than before. But as I play, it still has that slow, laggy feel, like when you open a door and it takes that odd second to actually open or close behind you. It feels like I'm playing PlayStation 1 still. It's not my internet speed, for those who might suggest that.

I'm always in awe of the videos from people who play on mid/high end PC's or 4k, but I won't have something like that for months, if I choose to save and set aside for that.

So will Xbox One S ever feel similar to games like, maybe Destiny, Titanfall, FortNite? I just mean the "fluidity" of the movement and gameplay.

Should I purchase PUBG?

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 08:54 AM PDT

Hello! As you can guess from the title of my post, I would like to get your feedback on whether I should buy the game. I had previously purchased it over a year ago but could barely play it due to GPU issues which ultimately killed it. I replaced the motherboard after over a year and its finally running fine. The specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel Core i5 -4210 CPU @2.4 GHz Quad Core and 8GB of RAM (not sure DDR3 or DDR5)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 820M with 2GB memory

My system is a laptop, as you may have guessed from the specs above and can handle relatively heavy games (but not the AAA games that require intense graphics power).

I ask this question as I tried playing Fortnite before and didn't really enjoy it, but after playing PUBG Mobile, I am absolutely in love. I really like the real-life graphics and mechanics of the game. However, I have also see a lot of negative reviews of the game on steam lately. I understand this was when version 1.0 was released way back in winter, but I don't know the exact situation now and whether bugs and performance issues have been fixed.

Anyway, do let me know what you think. Thanks!

PUBG Game Mode Idea - Con Air Mode :D

Posted: 04 Sep 2018 06:13 AM PDT

I had an idea for a future game mode/mod of PUBG. Three prisoners and 10 guards start off in a plane that is shot down. The rest of the players start on the map as bounty hunters. Hunters can kill each other but their goal is to kill the prisoners and guards. Guards can not kill prisoners but can tase/stun them. The objective of the guards is to get the prisoners safely to the extraction without themselves or the prisoners dying or escaping. Prisoners have one objective, escape the guards and bounty hunters, possibly to a waiting boat or vehicle, something of that nature. If they are able to get a weapon they can use it against the guards or bounty hunters. This was just something that popped in my head last night and I thought I would share. Have a good one!
