Posted: 06 Sep 2018 09:56 AM PDT No bad matchups, beats everyone 1v1, scales well, tanky as hell, and clears ungodly fast. You can pick Graves in and team comp and into any team comp and do well. This champion has zero weaknesses except the person playing it. Oh yes, but Yorick had a 53% winrate in Bronze and Silver. Glad to see Riot's priorities are straight! Lol XD! [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 05 Sep 2018 10:38 PM PDT It seems likely that they'll get some kind of change, as it's all but certain we're getting new tiers and losing some divisions. I think Riot should take the time to look at loading screen borders (and the layout in general) and make things a bit cleaner. Right now, most of the borders look uninspired, and there's the weird black gradient coming in from the sides that overlaps the splash art. There have been a few great redesigns on the subreddit, such as this one from PixelPoncho, and it's been a few seasons since it was changed at all. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 06 Sep 2018 12:20 AM PDT This is probably pretty trivial for most people but when the arcade event was going on there was an arcade poro icon that you could get in the shop if you bought one of the dungeon passes that was a little more expensive. This icon was easily my favorite and the main reason that I bought the pass, but after a small visual bug with the shape of the icon they decided to change the color scheme completely. It went from having a more dark background to completely rainbow and bright, which basically ruined it for me. Now every time I look into my icon collection and see the arcade poro, I feel scammed because it's the only reason I bought the pass and now it's ugly. So sad. Edit: Yes I am aware that it is just an icon. My issue is with the fact that it is blatantly false advertisement to change something so drastically only a short while after it's been released. As for reworked champs, their updates were at least made with intent to improve the overall quality of the gameplay, and in some cases are much needed for balancing. Completely changing the color of a purely visual aesthetic with no explanation right after release is different. | PSA: Hextech Gunblade users can heal quite a bit from Rift Herald Posted: 06 Sep 2018 12:34 PM PDT I don't see this talked about much, but I play Akali and Katarina quite a bit, and both use Gunblade. This item heals you for any damage you deal, including true damage. When you hit the Rift Herald in the eye, it does a massive amount of true damage, of which 15% is then converted into health for you. This has saved me on multiple occasions, and enemies often don't expect it. Just thought I'd share! I'm setting myself in a journey to become caster which has always been on my mind ever since the days of Deman and Joe Miller. The reason for this post is to gather a bunch of replays in order to practice casting. I want to garner experience by casting any level of gameplay so even though you are either bronze, silver, or even challenger, it does not matter to me at all! I will be attempting to cast these games on twitch since that would be best to do it "live" rather then posting a video straight onto YouTube. | A fact about League that most new players don’t realise Posted: 06 Sep 2018 03:57 AM PDT I should preface all this by saying that I'm only a Gold scrub but I've been playing the game since 2011 (around the time Xerath was released) and so while I don't claim to be any kind of expert, I like to think that in 7 years I've learned a little bit! When players are first introduced to League it's sold as a 5v5 "arena" game where each team is battling against the other. What you're not told though is that League of Legends (like most RTS games) is actually more like a race than a battle which begins as soon as the fountain gates open and ends when one team wins the game. Players are also told that to win the game they must destroy the opposing Nexus which is true of course but not the full story. Usually a game is won or lost by whichever player/team gains a sufficient lead in the race and destroying the Nexus is just a by-product of that advantage. Some games go super late and the Nexus becomes important again but usually the race is what matters. How the race works:
Another important concept is that in every game of League of Legends there is an "average pace" of the game a bit like a difficulty curve. Minions, monsters and other players in the game get stronger and stronger over time and your current strength will always be relative to average level. If you are ahead of the curve then you will be stronger than the game meaning that minions and camps can be farmed faster and other players become easier to kill. Because you are farming faster and securing kills more often, your power will continue to increase exponentially and you will continue to get further and further ahead of the curve (hopefully until you win). On the other hand, if you fall behind the curve then everything gets harder to kill and so you will be slower at doing it. Unless you are able to catch up then you will continue to fall further and further behind the pace of the game until you are unable to compete any more. The are a million things you need to learn to get better at the game (Champions, Abilities, Items, vision, etc. etc.) but treating the game a bit more like a race can be a general way of improving your macro decisions and improving your overall efficiency in game.
