Can we officially declare Freeze Shaman to be the worst archetype Blizzard has ever tried to push?

Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:03 PM PDT

In Frozen Throne, Blizzard decided to try and create a new archetype for Shaman: Freeze Shaman. Shaman before KFT had a total of 1 card with freezing mechanics (being Frost Shock) but in KFT Shaman had half (5/10) of their cards, including their only legendary minion, centered around a freeze theme. On top of that, Hyldnir Frostrider was the only neutral card from that set to deal with Freeze mechanics at all. Glacial Shard, Frost Elemental, and Frozen Crusher rounded off the only neutral minions in standard or wild to deal with Freeze mechanics. Bringing the total number of freeze cards Shaman had access to being a whopping 9 10.

That wouldn't be too bad in itself, as long as Blizzard printed more freeze support in future expansions. However what they did instead:

Kobolds: printed no freeze cards for any class or neutral.

Witchwood: printed Snap Freeze for mage and no other freeze cards for any class or neutral.

Boomsday: printed no freeze cards for any class or neutral.

So unless the final expansion of the year is dedicated to freeze mechanics, I think it's safe to say that Freeze Shaman is the most failed archetype in hearthstone history.

After seeing Skeletal Flayer for the first time in an Arena match, I figured I might not be alone. So I wanted to give the artist some appreciation.

Twitch's Partnership Account Manager falsely told Kripp that Toast had paid for the front page spot

Posted: 01 Sep 2018 11:42 AM PDT

https://twitter.com/HassanBokhari/status/1035947328186667008

Kripp was told by a manager at twitch that Toast had paid for a front page spot, but actually Toast just asked them if they could put him on the front page and Twitch agreed. It is quite understandable for Kripp to accept what he heard as true when he made those claims even though they are now known to be untrue. At the same time Toast didn't get on the front page by chance, he had asked the managers at Twitch to be on the front page during the expansion launch.

TLDR: You are all getting flustered over misinformation. Or as some else would put it: FAKE NEWS!!!

TFW they're fighting over who's the more popular streamer

TSM Kripparrian on Twitter - I may have been misinformed about the paid part by Twitch, but that was beyond the point of yesterday's stream discussion, I also didn't have the same exact feature last expansion, as never in 7 years have I asked for a front page spot.
