| GTA 5 crash after launching story mode.. Posted: 03 Sep 2018 02:20 AM PDT I'm getting so sore of this game. on my old rig, i installed it twice, and it did that very same BS...and when i got it working, i corrupted it with mods, so i pretty much gave up till now. shit internet reality took me almost two weeks to download the game (constant "server errors" and corrupted .part files) And now, with a 2600X/RX580/X470 mobo/16gb DDR4 it doesnt want to work at. all. no old save files fresh install (no mods) crashes both modes and safe mode. have tried -verify command it's now trying to download the game again! - (fixed, i was trying an alternative file name, and the launcher doesnt even try to look for the game....) still crashes mid load into story mode (no saves) [link] [comments]  |

| My social club hacked and I was logged out Posted: 02 Sep 2018 04:58 PM PDT I had a secondary account for when friends come over for GTA online and when trying to log in for some reason I was logged out, my secondary account was not part of my primary account crew anymore, it sorta just vanished. How can I get it back? I can't use the account to make a support ticket because I have no access. Also for the sake of my primary account it was purchased on steam, does it also run the risk of getting hacked? Or does my steam account itself have to be compromised for it to get hacked? | Lester endless screaming makes Doomsday Heist unplayable Posted: 02 Sep 2018 10:58 PM PDT Voice actor of Lester makes the Doomsday Heist unplayable, he constantly screaming at you, this terrible voice actor sounds awful, unpleasant, always on the high tones, endless screaming. Many times I just put my headphones off and suddenly the heist seem a lot more fun. This voice actor is taking out all the fun from playing Doomsday heist. How could Rockstar think that we will enjoy playing this when someone is always screaming throughout the entire heist? You can't have more than 1 minute of silence before he starts screaming again It would have been much better if we had a calm female voice instead of him, like the voice actor of Paige is much better than Lester It would also be good if you could call Paige to get the same abilities Lester have to remove cops, set bounty etc. [link] [comments]  |
| Game unplayable on Dell 7577 (i7-7700HQ, GTX 1060 6GB Max Q)? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 05:46 PM PDT Hi, wondering if there is a fix for this or I'm just out of luck and need a better machine. My PC: Dell 7577 i7-7700 HQ 16 GB RAM GTX 1060 6 GB Max Q SSD+HDD (GTA 5 is stored on the HDD) I decided to try and start GTA 5 back up on it since I haven't played on PC yet. Upon using the optimized Nvidia settings and completing the first mission, I entered online mode and immediately started encountering frame drops down to 10-15 fps and lasting for 3-4 seconds. This would happen just about every 30-45 seconds. I did some research and tried some methods that other people tried with no luck. I finally resorted to lowering all possible settings and, while less frequent, I'm still getting frame drops every few minutes which makes the game pretty much unplayable. Here is a list of my settings: Graphic Settings DirectX Version: DirectX 11 FXAA: Off MSAA: Off Vsync: Off Population Desnity: Slider off Population Variety: Slider off Distance Scaling: Slider off Texture Quality: Normal Shader Quality: Normal Shadow Quality: Normal Reflection Quality: Normal Reflection MSAA: Off Water Quality: Normal Particles Quality: Normal Grass Quality: Normal Soft Shadows NVIDIA PCSS Post FX: Normal Anisotropic Filtering: Off Ambient Occlusion: Off Tessellation: Off Advanced Graphics Long Shadows: Off High Resolution Shadows: Off High Detail Streaming While Flying: Off Extended Distance Scaling: Slider Off Frame Scaling Mode: Off After all of that, I'm still getting CPU temps in the 90-100 range and thermal throttling which I assume is causing the FPS drops.
