The Zelda Series Means so Much to Me

The Zelda Series is very near and dear to mt heart. I'm not very into video games, but Zelda is different. A while ago, my family was very poor, and we didn't have many luxuries, only a TV and VCR. One birthday, my grandfather got me a Gamecube and The Wind Waker. That was all I ever did that Summer, just played one game. Later I went to college, and ended up getting my hands on a wii U. I was estatic when the Wind Waker HD released. For my birthday, I went back home, and brought the Wii U and WWHD. I plugged it in, and when my grandfather heard the title screen music, he began to tear up. That's one of my happiest memories. Now, I have a Switch, with BOTW, and while its different, I still love it so much. I haven't played too many Zelda games, but the series still holds a place in my heart.

I know Reddit makes fun of people who put up stories like these, but I really wanted to share, because today is my birthday. What stories do you guys have about Zelda, and is it super sentimental to you guys? I'd love to hear it.
