Confessions from a recently banned hearthstone botter

First off, this is obviously a throwaway. Not here for karma. Downvote or upvote as you wish. I'm just providing some information to curious people on the thoughts of a botter and how I long blizzard has allowed me to get away with this.

I started playing hearthstone in early 2015. I lost interest for the most part by summer 2016. That's when I decided I didn't care much what happened to my account but I wanted as much gold as possible to play with decks at release time. So I started botting. I won't list programs and even if I did... it got me banned. You wouldn't wanna use it.

I botted every single night for 2 years. I grinded golden classes out first. I posted on this sub on my main account. You guys upvoted it and congratulated me. Lol. Imagine the other botters who have done the same... I grinded 100 gold from wins every single night. I got about 18-20k between expansions. Easily enough to make the game truly f2p. I had over 40k dust I wasn't using. It's actually pretty insane what botting for years can accomplish. I had, last I checked, 17000 wins (most of those in casual mode, grinding gold wins).

Today I was banned. I got the email from blizzard a few hours ago. My reaction? A little bit of shock actually. They let me get away with this for so long that I didn't even feel like I was breaking rules anymore. I mean Goddamn, blizzard. Over 2 years, full golden heroes, huge collection, playing minimum 6 hours a day on a fairly regular schedule and it took this long? Really? Legit players should be outraged that they allowed me to shit on them for so long. To abuse the system and make the game slightly less fun for you.

That's really all I've got. I'm not really even mad since I haven't played probably more than like 20 hours legit in the last 2 years. I'd open packs, make new meta decks, set bot up, and keep grinding. It's over now. No more messing with the dumb bot every update or checking daily to see if it worked over night and finished my quests or not. Gg blizzard, well played.

Edit: well this is my second most upvoted post ever and it's about me fucking cheating. Lol. Oh well. I feel like I really struck something here with the user base. Some of you fucking despise me, even suggesting I need mental help. Some of you don't give a shit. Some of you are botters too. Huge range of reactions. I'm glad I posted this and could interact with this community for probably my last time. It's been real my dudes; I'll check back on some posts in the late morning when I get up.
