New Challenger is a PS4/PC based casual fighting game group made by new players, for new players. The group is comprised of people that range from "I know how to throw a fireball!" to seasoned veterans looking to help out the new guys, and everything in between. Our goal is to help the newer people grow, learn the game and LEVEL UP!

COACHING

We teach YOU how to play and level up!!
The NCH has high level coaches ready to answer any SFV question you may have! They also volunteer their time to host random 1on1 and group Coaching Nights throughout the week. The purpose of these events are to help people to better understand the basic fundamentals, combos, tech, etc of the game.

TOURNAMENTS

Skill capped tournaments 0-7499 and no cap tournaments are held bi-weekly for both NA and EU! It's an opportunity for Bronze, Silver and Gold players to get the same tournament thrill higher ranked players get.
 

BEGINNER BREAKDOWNS

A Twitch and YouTube series hosted by 2 of our high level SFV coaches (/u/SethSeriesMKII and KZA) where they look over your replays and critique them for you. Free advice! Free tips! Free tech analysis! How can you go wrong?

FIGHT NIGHTS

We are a VERY active Discord and someone ALWAYS has a lounge open. We hold regular evening Fight Nights for EU and NA! Fight Nights are an opportunity for Bronze, Silver, Gold players to get together with other members of NCH community in a lounge to play SFV and have some fun. They happen every night of the week and feature different organizers who set their own rules, although we strongly encourage a "3 win then you drop to the bottom" rule.

I'M NOT A BRONZE OR SILVER OR GOLD, CAN I STILL PLAY?
Of course you can!

One of the reasons New Challenger is so successful, is because of people like you who join events and give back to the community by helping other players improve! Fight Nights are a great time for new players to ask more experienced players for help or watch some great matches.

Following Sagat's release, we have discovered a bug for Sagat that has a fairly significant impact on battle. We are planning to implement a bug fix at the end of August.

■ Bug Content
Currently, Sagat's M Tiger Uppercut (Normal/V-Skill) has complete invincibility from active frames 3F-7F.

■ Bug Fix
This will be changed to M Tiger Uppercut having attack and projectile invincibility from active frames 3F - 7F.

Counter zangief level 3

(Fairly new) Lost a match against someone who jumped into my face then immediately level 3'd. I was blocking and tried jumping away but he got me and took the set. Took it into practice and tried every method to avoid it but the only thing that worked was jumping before he lands (or starts the super). Is that the only way other than keeping an arm's length away from him? Maining Ibuki if there's any character-specific advice

Got wrecked in SFIV easy difficulty xD

I..........I played USFIV for the first time in the easy difficulty (I mostly play very easy, yeah judge me) and everything was fine until I got to Seth.........I got destroyed big time! I was using Chun Li and he wiped the floor with her. ON EASY! Like.......what's very hard like? lol

Sagat SFIV vs SFV

I don't like Sagat but I own USFIV and I tried him and he is actually kinda cool so..........I will purchase the sfv season 3 pass later this year and I was wondering if Sagat in SFIV is similar to SFV and if i play and learn a bit of sagat in SFIV will help when I pick him up in SFV! thanx in advance!

Constant online lag even with 5 bar only connections

I'm trying to play SF5 again after years of not playing, but it seems like every single game there's constant lag. Slight teleporting and "jumpyness" is how I would describe it making it literally impossible to react to anything and it is infuriating. I'm on PC, wired connection, and with a fiber internet connection that's borderline perfect. This is the only game this has ever happened to me in. I've also gotten the hand shake icon as well so that shouldn't be the problem anymore. Any help would be appreciated.
