Posted: 01 Aug 2018 12:34 AM PDT I've been looking for leech for this game for awhile. Not just shirts, but stuff like little plaster colonists. Somebody should make a product such as a Plush Thrumbo, I would totally get one of those [link] [comments] |
I'd love to be able to click and drag an area to prioritize it. Posted: 31 Jul 2018 05:14 PM PDT I think we've all had the experience of forcing some dude or dudette to deconstruct a chunk of the wall, while they immediately after start sprinting for something else that they'd rather do. This also applies to mining, moving items around and plenty more. There's a game that has this and it's on the tip of my... tongue? fingers? and it's like... such a massive improvement/time saver/quality of play boost/sensical option. So yeah. Thanks folks, I'm out of material. g'night! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:42 PM PDT Recreation activities should mitigate or undo skill decay for things like Shooting, Melee, Medical, Social etc. Each skill should have a different recreation associated with it. Recreation should not be able to increase skills, at least not much, but should help pawns keep their skills. Passions and skill levels should help decide which recreation activity a pawn goes for. I'm not really sure how medical recreation would work. Maybe treating ongoing diseases, injuries and effects could work instead? [link] [comments] |

How do I increase Faction goodwill? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 12:23 AM PDT I just had faction goodwill decrease because a pack of man eating house cats came through and ate half the trade caravan that came through. I only had a few bows and arrows because we're tribal so what the hell was I expected to do about that? Now they're in the negatives and I was wondering how do I decrease that? I do not have the hospitality mod, I forgot to enable it for this playthrough. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 09:44 PM PDT So, my colonists started loading launch pods as I went to GTFO my base that was in the process of falling apart, and they just kept loading until they passed out from malnutrition and exhaustion. I'm hoping this is a bug? [link] [comments] |
A series of catastrofic events that probably ended my colony. Posted: 31 Jul 2018 02:50 PM PDT So this is the story of how a single shot destroyed an otherwise wonderful and thriving colony. One day, a group of siege pirates arrived and set up camp. Six colonists got their weapons and armors and headed off to break the pirate's camp before the pirates demolished their colony, at the same time, another colonist who was incapable of violence held position to repair possible damages and put out fires. Some of the were faster than others so Jer arrived first to the meeting point. While the rest were arriving, somehow a mortar shell landed on top of Jer's head (lovely randomness) thus instantly killing him. Man down. Jer's favourite pig went crazy after Jer's death, attacking the only colonist in the enclave. During the short shootout, the team decided to head back to a better position because the pirates decided to assault the colony (strange, since i did not down any pirate, only slightly injured one). While pirates chased the colonist team, they managed to down a few pirates before running off to the safety of the enclave walls. Surprise! Pirates were retreating suddenly. But why now? What made them retreat if they weren't being attacked right now. Somehow, during the earlier short shootout a bullet hit a nearby poison ship, releasing two scythers and a lancer. These mechanoids obliterated the rearguard of the pirate group, forcing them to retreat. Therefore making them easy targets for the colonists. After dealing with the mechanoids (and only one of them being harmed). The colonists headed back to the safety of the colony carrying some weapons and armors dropped by the pirates. But lo and behold. This is where it all gets ugly, messy and completely unfair. While running back to the base, 2 of the colonists suffer a catatonic breakdown and the harmed colonist goes down due to blood loss. The pacifist had to tend to the pig that tried to kill her while tending herself too. Three colonists left to manage the colony. Well, this can be fixed. But hey, don't you like catatonic breakdowns? Here, have another one because the colonist got insulted. A bit of luck here, the harmed colonist recovered and could walk again. So we have still three colonists to work with. Couple minutes later he decides that civilization is not for him and abandons the colony to hug trees and stuff. Immediately, a pirate raid arrives and starts heading of to the outer wall of the colony. With only one colonist able to fight and another one able to watch the fight I remember Jer's tragic death and decide to try to pay them back with the same tactic while they hit the wall. Load mortar, aim, FIRE! First shell misses completly but hits the wall, opening a big breach for a few pirates to get into the colony. But they didnt know there was a second wall so they start hitting it. In the meantime, the last fighting colonist gets another shell to the mortar. Load mortar, aim, FIRE! Second shell impacts directly onto the tree hugger downing him as he passed near some pirates hitting the first wall. These pirates get harmed by the are of effect of the explosion at least. Now there is no time to fire a third shell because the last wall has fallen already so the last colonist gets ready to use his shotgun as the last man standing between life and history. He shoots down the first pirate with a shot to the face. Maybe he has what is needed to repel those bastards. He aims at another pirate and boom, second pirate down. This is starting to go better. A fully armored colonist is wrecking pirates left and right, and in case that he gets shot, the bullet will have to pass 80% pierce armor (plasteel helmet included). A third pirate passes by him ignoring the colonist and heading to a vent that was unprotected. The colonist lands a first shot on the pirate. He has the advantage of hitting first. However, while he reloads his weapon. The pirate notices he got shot and in the unfairest RNGesus of the history he lands a shot right between the neck and the helmet of the colonist. This destroying his brain, and probably sending the colony into history. Now there is only one colonist incapable of fighting with a bunch of pigs against 5+ pirates fully armed and burning the crops. https://i.imgur.com/sz5co3R.png PS: Sorry for the long post, I needed to vent. PS2: I think Im going to have a vacation from Rimworld because I'm about to smash something... [link] [comments] |
