| What was a mediocre game that has the potential for a great sequel? Posted: 07 Aug 2018 05:57 PM PDT For as many issues as The Order: 1886 had, in my opinion it introduced a very interesting universe. It had plenty of flaws, but the majority of those flaws were mechanical in nature. The gameplay was very uninspired, and the story wasn't very interesting. But (and this is just my opinion) it has all of the pieces of a really great game. It has very intriguing lore, some likable characters, very cool weapon designs, etc. And I think that if a sequel were helmed by a different developer, they could make something truly spectacular. Even if it weren't a direct sequel but just a sequel that takes place sometime in that universe, it's something I'd really like to see. What is a mediocre game (whether that's critically, commercially, etc) that you think has the potential for a drastically improved sequel? [link] [comments]  |
