If you cant beat VMA you don't suck.

Posted: 07 Aug 2018 01:53 PM PDT

and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Its the hardest solo content in the game and the stats prove it. After finally completing it (took me a year on an off) I checked the trophies and it showed that a whopping 0.5% of people who own the orisinum DLC have completed Vet Melstrom. Which means that 99.5% haven't beat it yet. So anyone who tells you its easy is lying to or an elitist. Its tough.

New app project - ESO Writ Master

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 03:21 AM PDT

Hey all, We are back with a new project. Out now on iOS, in testing on android!

What have we done this time? Well we have created an app that you can keep track of your master writs. It also tells you what you need to craft the writs. It will also show you what locations you need to go to to craft your pieces. If linked with The ESO App (UESO App for Android) it will also let you know if your character will be able to crafter the writ or not.

Currently allows tracking of all master writs except provisioning. If you are using iOS 11 it will also let you import writs through your camera! (Still making this a smarter process)

We hope you all enjoy, if any improvements/suggestions please let us know!

I don't think this is normal. Anyone know whats going on ?

I know vMA posts are all the rage but...

Posted: 07 Aug 2018 06:57 PM PDT

I just beat vDSA for the first time, as the tank. It definitely made me reconsider everything about my tank. I have tanked several vTrials but this was a real test of personal skill and endurance. Truly eye opening!

Anyways I felt pretty great about it and wanted to share

ZOS should add relics to the game

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 04:06 AM PDT

By relic I mean items that are linked to deadric princes. Those can be weapons or artefacts. Only one of them can be equipped at once by the player. The weapons that are linked to bad deadric princes should have power equal or above vMA. Artefacts that are linked to good deadric princes are more defensive and should grant some major buffs for Pve and PvP (maybe some drink buffs like immovability for pvp)

Proof that if you PTFO you will win games even if you have zero kills.

ZOS, please give us more things to buy with AP.

Posted: 07 Aug 2018 08:44 AM PDT

There have been very few things added to PVP that we can buy with AP. A few style sets, a jewelery trait, and that's pretty much it. Give us some new gear sets, maybe a house in Cyrodiil that costs 5 million AP. Just give us something. PVP is one of the best, if not best part of ESO, and it is the least updated part.

This game needs magicka variance for weapons

Posted: 07 Aug 2018 10:37 AM PDT

It's really annoying how you are shoehorned into boring staff if you want to be effective with magicka build. Not only that you can't recharge resources pool with non-staff weapons, you are also gimped from how weapons rely on weapon dmg if you want to play.. say battlemage. I think the best solution is to introduce magicka variant weapons. We have magicka base class skills that can morph into stamina. It only makes sense that we also have magicka based weapons to promote more variety. It should be something like

1.Wand and Rune for the one-handed shield equivalent. And you can use different types of runes equivalent to sword/mace/axe, each with uniqueness. This set could be the true mage tank instead of half-done frost staff and revert frost back to actual ice dps. It could also simply be one-handed (sword, mace, axe) and rune but their skills are magicka based.

  1. Artifact. This is equivalent to two-handed weapons in which you wield a magic artifact with both hands. Variations can be orb, book and focus. Each with uniqueness of course. Again, it can also be modified normal two-haned with gs, maul and great axe but they are magically infused and have different versions of magicka based skills.

I am learning so much as I explore the world of ESO - my latest lesson is that it appears my lightning staff has a will of its own and a dislike for penguins! :(

Dual Wield

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 01:30 AM PDT

I currently run dagger and axe on my redguard stam blade. I was wondering if I should run dual daggers instead since they don't have a passive crit bonus.

Best Time I've Had in a Dungeon

Posted: 07 Aug 2018 04:59 AM PDT

So this morning before work I decided to try to knock out at least one Vet Pledge before I went in. I'm a tank, so I queued up and got Elden Hollow I. We get off to a fast start and we're pulling like whole rooms at a time, I'm holding everything down, DPS is melting everything, healer is tossing around synergies like nobodies business. I wonder for a minute "Is this annoying the healer?" then I realize he's the one pulling entire rooms at a time including bosses and never letting me drop below 90%. Was so nice to roll with a group that was so efficient -- we destroyed the whole dungeon including hardmode boss (I know not that big of a feat but still) in like 12 minutes.

This was an especially nice change of pace since last night when I went into a normal random and got a CP 600 "DPS" who was using 1h and shield the whole time >.<

So shout out to the 3 random guys from PS4/NA who queued up for vet dailies at 5 am. You're my new favs.

[Question] [PC] [Steam] Summerset Upgrade options / DLC

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 03:40 AM PDT

I already have ESO & Morrowind (no ESO+) on steam.

If i purchase THE ELDER SCROLLS® ONLINE COLLECTION ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/799520 ) will i still gain the DLC as noted? (the steam page isnt so clear)

When i click purchase it also says i wont receive an extra copy or ESO or Morrowind, (i know this is a given) but it set off some alarm bells.

I know about the discussions regarding dont buy from steam, but is this mainly surrounding the login issues?

Thanks for taking time to read this.

Why Am I Doing Almost Zero Damage?

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 03:24 AM PDT

Hey. I'm a level 30 daedric mage & feel as if I'm not doing anywhere near the average DPS for my level. I regularly find players less than HALF my level who are dealing way more damage than me, in both PvE & PvP. Why is this? I also get killed very easily & level up really slowly (even with training gear/xp scrolls) Ihave been searching on the internet for so long but it isn't helping. If anyone here could help that would be great. Here are my stats:

  • Magicka: 34
  • Health: 4
  • Stamina: 0

  • Max Magicka: 19,924

  • Max Health: 14,637

  • Max Stamina: 11,353

  • Spell Damage: 1,312

  • Spell Crit. Rate: 10%

  • Spell Resistance: 7,481

  • Magicka Recovery: 1,437

  • Health Recovery: 484

  • Stamina Recovery: 753

  • Physical Resistance: 6,211

Skills:

  • Dark Magic: 37
  • Daedric Summoning: 34
  • Destruction/Restoration Staff: Both 29
  • Light Armour: 28
  • And a bunch of other random skills

Armour & Weapon:

  • Full Training Trait light armour (each piece increases xp gained from kills by 9%)
  • Prophet's Restoration Staff lvl 25: 1025 base DMG, deals 1077 magic DMG & restores 201 magicka, increases xp gained from kills by 8% - Also has a damage health poison equipped. However, it doesn't matter what weapon I use, the damage I am dealing is around the same.

Is this good? Terrible? Okay? Please let me know.

All help is appreciated!

Stamplars - What do you run?

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 02:39 AM PDT

I decided to blow the dust off my stamplar and try him out again, but I'm having trouble finding a well balanced medium armor build.
So far I've tried Bone Pirate and Spriggan for sustain. The sustain and damage was there, but I was still dying to incaps pretty much immediately.
Then I tried Fortified Brass and Spriggan. I could definitely feel the difference with the extra resistances, but my sustain was terrible. Obviously with no leeching strikes, dark deal, battle roar or dead bodies on the ground I'm shit out of luck once my stam starts taking a hit.
So I'm curious what you other Stamplars out there are running.

PVP Stam warden

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 02:31 AM PDT

I'm currently creating a bosmer Stam warden for PvP in cyrodil, and need some gear advice, I'm running 2h/bow and was thinking of using shacklebreaker on the large pieces and bone pirate jewellery (Similar to alcasts set up) alternatively I was thinking of using the marksmen jewellery so I could use the bow more efficiently to deal damage at range, or is it not going to work well.

Help with Blue CP allocation Pet Sorc build

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 02:25 AM PDT

Wondering if I could please get some help and advice on CP for my Heavy Attack Mag Pet Sorc build? I'm on XBOX NA so I do not have access to any add-on that may help with this.

I've been playing off and on for some time but have been slow to pick up and understand the importance of CP allocation. Up until recently I've used other people's builds without trying to understand the allocation but now I'm more interested in the "why" an allocation is done as I strive to get something that works best for me for what I'm trying to do.

I'm pretty happy with my Red and Green settings now which I've tweaked until I've found what works. Now it's really just Blue where I'm not certain.

I've looked at a lot of different Pet Sorc builds and found a wide variety of allocations used by people. Maybe I'm confused myself more by having looked at this spreadsheet that is made for the Constellations add-on.

Right now I'm using my Pet Sorc to complete VMA. I've just got my first clear and now working on tweaking my build some more to improve. I'm using a lot of heavy attacks, Elemental Blockade, Liquid Lightning and both pets mainly.

Gear wise I've used 5x IA and 5x Necropotence plus monster set. Considering trying 5x Spinners in place of IA.

On my back bar I've got Daedric Prey but in VMA I have a lot of lag problems and bar swapping often causes me strife that ends up with me getting killed so whilst I try to switch I'm mainly focused on a single bar setup right now although I know it's not ideal.

I know the best solution is to use a 2nd bar but I've worked on this for so long and I know it's lag that is not going to be fixed so I have to make do with single bar right now.

Currently I'm using:

  • Elfborn = 56
  • Elemental Expert = 56
  • Spell Erosion = 43
  • Staff Expert = 14
  • Thaumaturge = 81

I'm thinking of reducing Thaumaturge to 75 to maintain the Exploiter passive and maybe increase Staff Expert.

Wondering if it's worth taking some points out of anything else and also putting them into Staff Expert too given the use of Heavy Attacks?

If I've read this right based on the Constellations spreadsheet, points into Master at Arms only boosts Daedric Prey which is why I've not put any points into it right now. It doesn't provide any benefit to heavy attacks with my Lightning staff, Blockade or other skills I'm relying on. Am I missing anything with this CP allocation spot (apart from the added DPS if I could bar swap without dying)?

I'm not sure what my total Spell Penetration is and on XBOX I don't know how to look at it as I understand on PC you have to use an add-on to see it. Not sure if points in Spell Erosion could be dropped.

Apologies if this is a dumb question but I'm really trying to get my head around it and find something that works best for me and know why it does now. I also understand that a 1 bar setup isn't ideal and won't give me the very best DPS but it's what I have to work with.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

reading combat metrics log

Posted: 08 Aug 2018 02:16 AM PDT

Can't seem to find this. Does anyone know if the "individual fight log" entries in combat metrics show "damage out" by player or "damage done" to target ...after resistance is calculated.

Testing on a dummy and the individual log entries show each hit at only about 75% or less of what the tool tip says.

Example. Tool tip for Wrecking Blow says "6158 physical damage" and the combat log says, "You hit target skeleton with Wrecking Blow for 4220." That's only 68% and is pretty consistent.

Thanks!
