Is this game really dead? Posted: 07 Aug 2018 10:27 PM PDT I'm a returning player after 2 years. I absolutely loved this game, but right now I cannot find any positive comment about it. On every forum and under every video, everyone is just trash talking telling how sh"it this game become. I have a lvl50 on a legacy server but since I could never catch up with the others, yesterday I created a new account and tried the FS server (although I'm sad to leave my old char behind). I'm currently lvl20 on FS and so far I didn't see anyone!!! in the questing areas so I'm wondering if it's worth to invest in this game. I'm not interested in farming, just want to gear up and go pirating and do world pvp. If I give it a try: how many gold do I need to have a decent (not the best) gear if I'm not crafting? Questions about residency, contribution and development ranks Posted: 08 Aug 2018 12:10 AM PDT Hi all, I've been looking all over for information on the resident and contribution system(s) but I can only find bits and pieces. I have a few specific questions if you guys would be so inclined to help out: Does your contribution for building the community center count towards the payout at the end, or is it just the contribution after the community center reaches rank 3 that counts? How many ranks are there in total and what's the contribution requires for all? If players choose to not contribute to a community center's development stage, because they'd rather contribute to one that's already rank 3 in a different area, will the community center be "in development" forever? Do cargo packs/trade runs in an area contribute towards the gold gathered in fees or is it just packs/activities related to the community center itself? submitted by /u/wordlyhcd [link] [comments]

Which legacy server should I play? Posted: 07 Aug 2018 03:13 PM PDT I'm not new to AA and I have played on fresh start and thunderwing but I'm bored of both servers. I want to try one of the other legacy servers on NA which server should I play / which is the best? Also which area / race should I start at / as? I don't mind what the server population is like as long as I can have find (or save and buy if none available) some land and the marketplace is active. Thanks in advance. EDIT: Whilst I'm bored on both those servers I don't think I'm bored of the game, AA is the only game with a housing / farming system which has managed to captivate me and I want to continue to play it. AA - the game you dont play. When a game is not a game. Posted: 06 Aug 2018 02:39 PM PDT so there is basically no content, and there hasnt ever really been any 'expansion' and that means nothing to do in that department, no dungeons, no cool levels, questlines etc etc - what little there is provides no significant reward and must be repeated ad infinitum and results eventually in substandard dead end gear. so one does not play this part of the game. whats left is the economic route ie procure resources and in turn process somehow and generate gold. very good - labor is used up in about 1/2 hr if you know how to do things and now again there is nothing worth doing (and processing raw mats is afk lol). progress is key in this game and once you use your labor to generate the small amount of gold the game allows there is nothing to do and no need or desire left to play. fight other players, make you own content? nope - no reward, need gear to have something resembling a competitive pvp engagement, no-one does the events coz no reward, not enough events nor often enough, nothing new etc - need gold to get competitive - need labor to make gold - have no labor = make no gold cant do anything = i'll go do some pve content = there is no meaningful content = turn game off go do something else. Feeding Legendary Erenor Staff to Mythic Posted: 06 Aug 2018 08:16 AM PDT What would be the best option here, for cost effectiveness as well as time?
