Posted: 01 Aug 2018 01:54 PM PDT Received this morning: I think the debate has gone back and fourth since I first began posting about what happened to me. Basically, I'd traded crown items for gold a few times before and everything went off fine. Then the other day a player full-on scammed me and took off with half a million of mine without the item they promised me. As you can see from the message I've gotten here from ZOS, it sounds like they will not normally reimburse me for my trouble. So this should give anyone a definitive answer about what ZOS will do if you've been scammed in a grey area Crown Items for Gold transaction. Some people here have said ZOS will pursue action and reimbursement if this happens, and that these sorts of things are covered in the TOS. Well as you can see here definitively, this is their answer. It's not something they want to do for everyone who gets scammed. I had to message them 3 times, carefully explaining my situation, attach evidence of what happened as well as be very polite and civil. I want to be clear here, I am only keeping the subreddit updated, incase you've been curious about trying it for yourself, but were scared about the outcome if you get scammed, like I did. This seems to be the definitive final outcome in the situation I went through. I spent a few days waiting, and they've now reimbursed me today, but warned me they wouldn't be doing it again if I got scammed again. Some people here might ask "why are you trading gold for crown items?" You have to realize, there are some of us with very expendable gold accounts in-game right now. Plus for what it's worth: 5000 Crowns up here in Canada is nearly 40 bucks. Under normal circumstances, I'd never buy most of the over-priced shit in the Crown store. However crown item traders have afforded me the opportunity to own stuff like the Assistants. Buying both of them with real money here would cost me nearly 80 bucks. At 1 crown per 100 gold with some Crown Traders, a million for both of these Assistants is a steal. For someone like me who's built a gold bank account for 2 years and running and is in 3 big guild traders and is raking it in hand over fist, I've already gotten the extravagant furnished houses and etc. Crown Traders are now just affording me a new avenue to spend my millions on stuff that I'd never normally buy with real money anyway. Many people with huge gold bank accounts are also probably scratching their heads on what to spend it on after they've bought it all in game: Houses, furniture, upgrades, weapons armour, you name it. Some of us will pursue a Crown Trader's offers if they're out there. You just have to learn to be careful, if ZOS isn't willing to implement changes to this emerging market right now.... My advice to everyone here curious, seek proper channels to do this through. At the time I didn't know there was a Discord for crown item transactions for gold. Now I do, although it doesn't look like they have any Xbox One Crown sellers, unfortunately. Don't trust just anyone in zone chat. I unfortunately did, but that's only because the first three times I did this, it worked fine. I am lucky ZOS reimbursed me. Be careful out there and use the Crown trading Discord if you can. Do yourself a favour and record/screen shot the whole entire transaction if you also do risk it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 08:51 AM PDT Running the hell away. I qued for a random BG which I've gotten into thanks to the event. Ended up in a Chaosball match, which I'd only barely read about. Right off the bat we start getting creamed by the Purple team who's much better at PVP and loaded with DKs who insta stun me while defending the ball carrier. A few minutes in and Purple has 300, we have 90, and Green has 0. No clue what Green was going. Well after we won a quick skirmish the only person left alive was me and the ball was right there. I figured screw it I'll try it out. Picked it up and was surprised to see it immediately start hurting me, but that's okay I'm an Altmer Magplar I can heal through this right? Well I can't heal through the purple swarm descending on me, so I just book it as fast as a magic specced high elf in heavy armor can, which isn't very far. I kept chugging stamina potions to keep sprinting, expecting them to smarten up and cut me off at one of the passes. They never did. I just kept running and they kept chasing. I'd turn around every so often to lob a javelin at the closest enemy and then keep running. They finally took me out after I'd nearly tied the game. Quick respawn, and my team had successfully defended the ball enough so that I could pick it up again and continue my expert tactics of booking it away from combat. Got the score all the way up to 450 before I got taken down again. Needless to say my team learned from my proud warrior prowess and copied my tactics and improved on them, running away along the top of the arena until we won. The group chat was full of laughter, "good jobs," and "how the hell did we pull that off." We'll see how well my tactics work in the future but I'm definitely glad this event is going on for introducing me to the silliness and fun that is PVP. [link] [comments]
A little tip to make the game easier Posted: 01 Aug 2018 09:42 AM PDT We know that a lot of people make it their job to stand in every aoe. What a lot of newer players might not know is that if you go into your gameplay options and turn on the custom colors, you can turn your friendly aoe and enemy aoe brightness all the way up so it's much easier to see things coming at you. I think this should be on and turned all the way up by default so people can have an easier time learning the game and gaining raid awareness. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Aug 2018 04:49 PM PDT It is the name of one of the new campaigns and all campaigns are named after artifacts or important dieties. I'm hoping maybe Lawrence Schick can come and answer this question. It's been asked In teslore subforum as well and it seems no one knows. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Aug 2018 12:59 AM PDT I'm new to this game and I wanted to play a healer, but I'm also a PvP player. Someone told me healers are not useful in PvP and you should avoid playing PvP as a healer. Is this true? I'm so confused. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 11:04 PM PDT Have about 4million AP, wondering about the best way to flip it to gold. How do you guys go about it? Where do I find people willing to buy? Any help is appreciated. [link] [comments]
Who here really likes the motif chapter lore text? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 12:32 PM PDT Now that I've started collecting motifs, I've come to discover that they're some of my favorite lorebooks in the game. Especially Narsis Dren's guide to realistic Draugr cosplay [link] [comments]
With the orsinium event about to start, don't be afraid to enter VMA, even at low level! Posted: 01 Aug 2018 05:51 AM PDT ive heard of plenty of people afraid to try vma out because they hear how hard it is. with double drops I encourage everyone to give it a shot. the sigils are extremely powerful and respawn every round. use the shit out of them! I just cleared vma with my cp90 character while using cp40 gear that I had designed for pvp (impen trait). I was doing less than 15k sustained dps. if I can do it like this anyone can. Posted: 02 Aug 2018 04:17 AM PDT I just started seeing a few videos on YouTube with people have different traits in their armors, I'm a dps character and I've always been using divine trait but am I doing something wrong or inefficient? [link] [comments]
New to PvP, is there any particular build that is good for newcomers? Posted: 02 Aug 2018 04:09 AM PDT So I've been playing PvE for a very long time and I'm quite experienced it. I like to follow guides and since I plan to play Battlegrounds, I was wondering if there's any particular build to follow for a newcomer to PvP? [link] [comments]

Races: Max magicka x direct element dmg Posted: 02 Aug 2018 03:55 AM PDT Based on the calculation of the damage is based on max magicka, wich is more appropriate for a magicka dps sorc build in relation to the race: 10% max magicka (braton) or the direct 7% / 4% elemental dmg (elfs) ???? That is, how much does this 10% max magicka of breed provide for dmg relative to the percentage of direct dmg increase as the dark elf for exemple...ty for info [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Aug 2018 11:32 PM PDT Hi, I've been playing this game on and off for a few years. The longest I've been playing is now and I started again a little bit before Summerset came out. I decided to make a PvE DPS Dragon Knight. I'm CP 375 and I've been following this guide: r/https://alcasthq.com/eso-stamina-dragonknight-build-pve/ I understand what my abilities do, I understand what my CP does. And yet there is something that's not clicking with me. I die very often, I have difficulty sustaining stamina and the worst yet, I rarely think my DPS goes over 10k. I messed around with that DPS parsing addon a bit. I take medication which has a side effect of cognitive impairment and forgetfulness and that's a big factor but I want to play veteran content with friends and actually be effective maybe you guys can help me "start" to figure out what I might be doing wrong with gear, CP or maybe I shouldn't be using some of the abilities Alcast suggests until my CP is higher, stuff like that. So I'll start with my build, this is from an addon called My Build Continued:r/https://i.imgur.com/92LzIeZ.png My rotation as close as I can get it to the one Alcast's site: > Endless Hail > Light Attack > Razor Caltrops > Light Attack > Poison Injection > Weapon Swap > Light Attack > Venomous Claw > Light Attack > Rending Slashes > Light Attack > Hidden Black > Light Attack > Rearming Trap > Weapon Swap > Restart But it's far from perfect. As much as I practice weaving and animation cancelling, it's very easy to fire an ability twice or do things out of order. I can make a video to show what I do. But the only thing that brings my DPS to around 10-11k in one hit are my ultimates usually. The rest I have to rely on poison DoT and trying to weave in light attacks with my abilities. I know practice makes perfect, but I remember practicing so much and not getting it on my Mag Sorc that I actually stopped playing last year. I don't want it to get to that point again, I want to get it right, so I can have fun with the end game content this time. I use a Logitech Proteus (https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spectrum-Shifting-Personalized-Programmable/dp/B019OB663A/) and a typical Corsair mechanical keyboard. I had an MMO mouse but it broke and I don't think it was helping my case anyway. It was much easier to spam buttons under pressure than it is with a keyboard. As far as sets go,̶I̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶P̶e̶r̶f̶e̶c̶t̶ ̶A̶r̶m̶s̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶R̶e̶l̶e̶q̶u̶e̶n̶, I have the Velidreth shoulders that just need transmuting, and I need to get the monster helm from the dungeon which I can't seem to finish. I know, I can't finish vCoS at CP 375 and it's pretty sad. I'm working on Berserking Warrior gear. My guild is kind enough to let me tag along on trials but I know for a fact that my contribution levels are at a minimum. The Maelstrom Bow would be nice but I'm obviously not ready for that. Couldn't finish the normal one! As far as switching classes, I don't want to. I really like playing the Dragon Knight, even as dps and not tank. I don't want to be a healer or tank either. I just want to improve as a DPS player for real this time so please—any suggestions, criticisms, feedback, tips, rules of thumb, or anything that I might be missing, leave a message. I would be grateful. If you need more information or a video, I can do that too. But I don't feel right continuing to level my CP when I can't play correctly so I had to ask for help. Thank you for reading! Edit: I don't have Perfect Relequen gear, just normal Relequen. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Aug 2018 02:36 PM PDT Hey guys, I just uploaded a pretty cool video on how to create a build in ESO. It seems simple, but I have some tips that could probably help you create a build even if you've never played the game before. If you're interested here's a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YeVU70kK5Y [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2018 10:45 PM PDT I've finally completed my bow weapon skill like and I really like it and I'm going to use it as one of my perminate weapons. The problem is though that I can't find a good weapon to pair with it. I tried 2 handed but by the time i switch I'm already out of stamina, and I'm still leveling up my destruction staff (level 20) and restoration (level 4) so they are pretty weak. [PC] Templar Healers: What do your bars look like? Posted: 01 Aug 2018 01:43 PM PDT I'm enjoying my templar so far(level26) but I'm a bit overwhelmed with so many spells to choose from - all unfamiliar since I'm used to my stamsorc playstyle. Can you give me an example of what my bars should look like now, at level 26, and then what setups you're running at 50? What are your most used spells to heal the group? What are your most used offensive spells? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
