Welcome newcomers to the fog! Here you can ask any sort of questions about Dead by Daylight, from gameplay mechanics to the current meta and strats for certain killers / survivors / maps / what have you.

Some rules and guidelines specific to this thread;

  • Top-level comments must contain a question about Dead by Daylight, the fanbase surrounding the game or the subreddit itself.
  • No complaint questions. ('why don't the devs fix this shit?')
  • No concept / suggestion questions. ('hey wouldn't it be cool if x was in the game?')
  • No tech support questions. ('i'm getting x bug/error, how to fix this?')
  • /r/deadbydaylight is not a direct line to BHVR.
  • Uncivil behavior and encouraging cheating will be more stringently moderated in this thread. We want to be welcoming to newcomers to the game.
  • Don't spam the thread with questions; try and keep them contained to one comment.
  • Check before commenting to make sure your question hasn't been asked already.

Just bought the DLC, love the movies so I was excited. Played against some seriously cunty survivors, teabagging, click click click, endless loops. Finally caught one bastard and hung him up. I figured fuck this guy in particular idc about the win I want to make sure he dies.

Then his teammates try to save him, Mr.Saw put both down and a shitty game turned into an awesome three piece chicken meal with extra salt.

I really like this game so far.

Put a timer in the trial. If a Survivor disconnects in 80 seconds, one Generator is automatically repaired.

Gens take 80 seconds to repair. We still have the time that is needed to find it etc so I think it would be a very niche way of trying to abuse the game. It would be instead a potentially very good way of hotfixing the problem with one or more Survivors disconnecting in one third of the Trials I'm in.

Dwight Fairfield - Nervous Leader Dwight is seen by all other survivors

Meg Thomas - Energetic Athlete Meg reduces Exhaustion debuff by 33%

Claudette Morel - Studious Botanist Reduces healing time for others by 50% and yourself by 25%

Jake Park - Solitary Survivalist Missed skill checks/compilation of generators/hooks will not provide a notification to killers

Nea Karlsson - Urban Artist Vaults and throws down pallets twice as fast

William "Bill" Overbeck - Old Soldier Gain Movement speed when a survivor is hooked, unhooking a survivor does not notify the killer

David King - Rugged Scrapper If David has not been hooked a killer hit in the dying state will cause david to enter bleed out state.

Kate Denson - Hopeful Songbird Wiggles out of killers hands 25% faster and faster movement speed on killer hits

Laurie Strode - Determined Survivor Gains action speed overtime the longer shes alive. 2% a minuet up to 20%

Ace Visconti - Lucky Gambler Has a chance to dodge a killers attack based on his luck. Cool down of a minute

Feng Min - Focused Competitor The most recent generator Feng has worked on is boodytraped and become immune to regresssion. Only one generator can be affected

Quentin Smite - Resolute Dreamwalker Can use medkits to shorten debuffs any medkits found will add charges to your medkit

David Tapp - Obsessed Detective After having vision of the killer for 3 seconds lets you can see the killers aura for 10 seconds
