Goodwill System Revamp
  • Goodwill have been revamped to better reflect users who are being a positive experience while protecting those users from players who may report out of spite in an effort to reset them to 0%.
    • Goodwill now provides protection against single instances of negative behavior or reports
    • Goodwill is now gained more gradually after completing games and when players commend you
  • Goodwill rewards have also been adjusted
    • 30% 15% favor bonus at maximum goodwill
    • + 15% FP bonus at maximum goodwill
    • games played at maximum goodwill contribute towards monthly rewards

Changes to Gamemodes


All Gamemodes
  • Fountains
    • Fountains now tick more quickly and for smaller amounts while healing allies or dealing damage to enemies
    • Fountains have new particle FX on damage and heal*
    • Fountains are no longer affected by anti heal
    • Players exiting the fountain will retain the fountain healing effect for an additional 1s
  • Timed Queues
    • All Normal and Ranked game modes will be changed to a "Timed Queue" system
    • Timed Queues will show a constant countdown timer that indicates when the next match of that mode will begin
    • When the timer reaches 0, all players in the queue will be sent a prompt to accept the match
    • Matchmaking will be done after accepting, so there is no penalty to declining the queue pop
All Ranked Gamemodes
  • Ranked Conquest, Joust, and Duel have been soft reset to begin the Fall Split
  • Early Surrender conditions have been changed. Players will now be able to surrender before 10 minutes if a player Disconnects and within the first 3 minutes and has not returned
  • For all Ranked Modes, if an early surrender occurs, the following will happen (ONLY occur if a team successfully surrenders before 10m)
    • Active players on the losing team will lose 0 TP
    • The disconnected player will lose 2x the full TP amount they would have lost if the match finished normally
    • The enemy winning team will win 0.5x the full TP amount they would have lost if the match finished normally
Ranked Duel
  • 10 5 minutes before a game can be surrendered

  • A new XP camp has been added to the Joust map. It is located just outside the Bull Demon King's area

Competitive Megathread | SPL Summer Finals LAN

Hello There!

After a few weeks of no PC Smite and a few days of no Console Smite, the Smite PC Summer LAN is finally upon us. We will see the best teams from around the world and the best teams in the world face off against each other at this LAN. Like the SMITE Masters LAN, this is a double elimination bracket LAN so even if your favorite team losses early on, don't worry, you'll be able to still root for them in the losers bracket. We just saw one team climb out of the Losers Bracket and defeat the Upper Bracket Winners at the Console LAN, so who's say that it can't happen here and now. You can learn more about the LAN from Hi-Rez's website.


How to Watch

Because this LAN is not the SPL, it will be streamed on all three major streaming platforms: Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer.

They're good. Really really good. Adapting if often heralded as the best player in the World, Yammyn is a mechanical beast that doesn't miss abilities, Maniakk is a Portuguese madman, EmilZy is the brainiac support, and emilitoo has proven time and time again that he is one of the best hunters in the game.

eUnited, the reigning World Champions, come into this LAN as the number 1 seed in North America--and they come in hot. They cruised through North America losing only to their scrim partner SpaceStation Gaming and to the Talented Counter Logic Gaming. They dropped a mere 2 sets and won every other only they played. And over the last few weeks of the Split, they started to return to their world-beating from. When eUnited clicks, they are unmatched in terms of abiility--we witnessed that first hand when they cruised to a World Championship last year. That cruising could easily continue in this LAN as Worlds gets closer and closer.

This team just won the Spring Masters LAN and they're looking to repeat their Season 5 victories at the Summer Finals LAN. The strength of this team has historically been in their solo laner DeathWalker, but in recent Splits, iceicebaby has stepped up and become a dominant force in the Jungle. Recently, RivaL turned one of their bigger weaknesses into a huge strength with the KaLaS and Vote coming into their own and becoming incredibly strong players (for real, this is one of the best duo's in the word).

This is the team everyone knows and that everyone likes. They're the all-star North American roster. SpaceStation looks great in online play but has historically faltered at LAN--see BaRRaCCuDDa discussing how they played poorly on Twitter. However, this LAN could easily be different. SSG has been scrimming with their world-beating scrim partner eUnited like crazy and it's safe to presume that those scrims aren't one sided. Almost everybody recognizes Baskin as the top mid laner in NA and BaRRaCCuDDa as a top hunter. Many people overlook one of my personal favorite players in Aquarius, in the Summer Split, Aquarius looked more and more like a top tier solo laner--and if that progress carries over into LAN this week then SSG will definitely be a team to watch out for.

Many teams will look at Nocturns Gaming as the best international team to come to LAN. They had a few impressive performances at the Masters LAN, and they've brought back their powerful midlaner N0zx. I don't want to understate how good this team is, because they are incredibly talented. Sm1tero looked very good at the Masters LAN and they're looking to take a game or even a set off of an NA/EU team this time around.

WhySoCereal had a fairly rough time at the last LAN. In fact, they lost quickly and didn't show too well (according to spectators, the game itself was not broadcast). They'll face a stronger opponent around in Nocturns who've brought back N0zx to the squad, so hopes for this team qualifying to the true LAN are not high. However, anyone who has watched this squad know that they have decent potential and could upset Nocturns if they outdraft them. It's fairly safe to say that they probably will lose to any NA/EU team.

Black Dragons are a good team. They're the kings of Brazil with top class talent from the region. The biggest change to this roster is the addition of zGonnZ over oShip. Athletico kinda came out of nowhere and became the top team in OCE, beating out BandtheDrum (MingyuSeo's new team) to claim a perfect 6-0 record in Oceanic play. This team is untested in the international scene, but they have a lot to prove. They'll have a tough opponent in eUnited, but there is some possibility of victory for the young oceanic squad.

Unfortunately for them, they'll face NRG eSports, the number one team at the LAN and possibly the best team in the world.

Am I the only one who will be positively commending everyone from every game who isn't toxic? I'm excited to have a system in place that promotes positive behavior. If I have had any gripe about Smite over the years, it has been the community. I reverted back to Ps4 from PC, partially because of friends to play with, but mostly the sheer toxicity. Here's to hoping for a better battleground for us all!

Like everybody, I assumed today was the patch day on console because we hadn't been notified otherwise. I set my schedule around there being a patch today and now I've been burned again. At least tell us, "Hey we aren't certain as to when console will get the patch, but it won't be on time." Because this is bullshit.

Daily Bundle has same skin over and over for me.

Is anybody else having this issue? My daily bundle seems to select 1 or 2 skins and just throw them in there almost every day until I get them. When the bundles first dropped, it was Laughing Skull Bakasura that I got 7 or so times before I got it out of a champion's chest. After that it was the angel Awilix skin (8 or 9 times), which I ended up buying with another skin I wanted. Now its Expelled Hel. I started recording what I get in my bundles and it's clearly shown here.

The "~" numbers are a guesstimation of how many times I'd gotten that item before I started recording.

Is this something you guys are experiencing? Is it something Hi-rez has even acknowledged or is it just me?

What did they do to her voice pack and why? It sounds like it has some kind of echo or something. Why would they do that to her voice pack? It used to be pretty clear and loud enough, I dont understand.
