League of Legends - Patch 8.13 Bug Megathread

Patch 8.13 Bug Megathread

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 02:23 AM PDT

Greetings Summoners!

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.

We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Note only bugs caused by the 8.13 Patch should be reported below.

Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.

  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.

  3. The bug must have been caused by the latest patch.

Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

Server: The server you encountered the bug (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, BR, LAS, LAN etc)

Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug etc

Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred.

Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring.

Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)

System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.

Example Bug:

Server: EUW

Type of Bug: In-Game Bug etc

Description: Zed's R(Death Mark) does not apply secondary damage

Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

Reproduction rate: 2/10 (happened 2 out of 10 times)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch a game after selecting Zed as your champion.
  2. Attempt to use Death Mark.
  3. Observe the result.

Expected result: The damage should apply after a short delay, amplified by damage dealt during the effect.

Observed result: The damage will not apply properly.

System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

If you don't know how to format comments on Reddit click here

- **Server:** - **Type of Bug:** - **Description:** - **Video / Screenshot:** - **Steps to reproduce:** - **Expected result:** - **Observed result:** - **Reproduction rate:** - **System specs:**

Copy paste the above code and fill in your details.

From this Megathread the list of bugs will not be summarized and put up in the main body of the thread, however note that many Rioters are going through every single comment so don't worry if you post the 1500th or 3000th comment, every reply will be read over the next few days.

When did the client become such an abominable mess?

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 02:29 AM PDT

The client has felt like a disgusting mess well, basically, ever since its newest inception.

A thread will pop up every so often about a new or recurring bug with the client and people will complain and then forget it about it after a few days and nothing changes.

The amount of bugs and problems with the client is just insane;

  • People unable to ban or lock in during Champ Select
  • Inability to rejoin games in progress
  • Constant bugsplats, client repatches and old version re-installations
  • Switching between servers requires a large update every time no matter how many times or how often you do it
  • Client hogs a ridiculous amount of CPU usage when doing updates
  • Loot tab freezes up, becomes inaccessible regularly

and so on and so forth, the examples above just being the tip of a very buggy and infuriating iceburg.

When will we get some actual clarity and honesty from Riot regarding the state of the Client? Because for a company that holds itself to high levels of transparency and honesty the way they've handled the new client has seemed really off.

Riot is a great company that keeps player experience and community interaction more important than the vast majority of competitors, but at the same time the feeling you get when you can't lock in a champion and lose LP over something you don't control is something that really tarnishes player experience massively and needs to be addressed.

There are 19.1m NA accounts, of which only 27% are above level 30

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 08:28 AM PDT

link: http://na.op.gg/ranking/level/page=51460

About 5.2m are level 30 or above, and the rest are below lvl 30. It's quite odd, as lol as a game doesn't really start until lvl 30. lol as a whole has a pretty bad lvling system filled with smurfs, bots and griefers. I wonder what other factors contribute to new players quitting before even getting to play ranked and how many new players lol actually gets each year.

The next time someone says "idc this isn't my acc anyways" just screenshot it and report it to Riot

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 10:32 AM PDT

I was tired of this kind of attitude and i decided to make ticket regarding this matter, after one day Riot responded to my ticket saying they will take a look at it. The same day Riot responded the dude never came online. So I'm assuming he permed. No more "idc this aint my acc tard" for this guy anymore.

Proof: This guy was making fun of my Braum because i'm a pretty hardstuck Gold V but then i searched the guy up and he was actually in a lower elo then me. And then he came up "this aint my acc" and his duo was flaming me aswell. + He comfirmed that it wasnt his acc. https://imgur.com/a/YKSpkLV

RR 2018 LMS-LCK-LPL is so hype and huge success

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 05:37 AM PDT

For real, everything is soooo hype! All teams are dead serious and hungry for win. Venue and crowd are amazing (especially comparing to EU-NA RR). Teams matchups are awesome and special shout out to casters (Papa - Atlus - Frosk are on fire! one of the best trios i ever listened)

Really huge success imo and it gets me sooo hype for Worlds!

We're one successful Garen rework away from having every champion which Faker used to ban in SoloQ as permanent power picks in pro play.

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 01:28 AM PDT

Haven't watched Faker's stream for a while so I'm not quite sure how he handles it right now, but I'm quite sure he just bans nothing.

However, Faker was famously known for just banning the champions which are alphabetically first in the past - which in Korean are Garen, Galio and Gangplank. When he played on an English-language client, he was equally famous for just banning Aatrox. This was such well known that when he came to NA for Worlds, in SoloQ people knew they were playing against Faker in champ select already just by seeing an Aatrox ban. (One notorious example: Imaqtpie challenging Faker's Cassiopeia with his long-donged Xerath and being just 10 kills away from an equal kill-to-death ratio.)

People who didn't know this would always ask why Faker was banning these champs as, except the pirate, they were considered absolute troll picks.

However, we have now learned that we can't question God - he was just ahead of his time.

  • Gangplank has obviously been one of the best top lane and sometimes mid lane champions for 3 years now.
  • Galio got his first taste when Faker played the old version at KeSPa Cup 2016, but since his rework, he has been an S tier pick in mid and sometimes top.
  • And while it was reasonable to think that Aatrox's dominance of the top lane would wane with his rework, both Asian and Western Rift Rivals have now shown us that new Aatrox actually has a very strong kit as well as a distinct identity as a lane bully and early/mid game duellist - he will therefore most probably be P/B in competitive play for the foreseeable future even after the inevitable nerfs come in. (As most newly reworked champions are.)

Now only one question remains: When will Faker be able to become the second best Might of Demacia after xPeke and spin to win against KT?

SKT has became the final form of 2015 TSM against RNG

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:01 AM PDT

Thal is roleplaying as Dyrus losing his tier 2 turret before fifteen minutes with no help in sight.

Blank is literally a support jungled with a warding item.

Faker is a star midlander who can't carry the rest of the team.

Bang is the solid ADC even though Turtle is obviously flashier.

And wolf is the Korean support.

Karsa is at the Rift Rivals Awards Ceremony

Karsa at the center karsa at the center

Notice a lot of comments in Twitch asking about Karsa. Turns out he had to go to the toilet when the last fight happened, and everyone went out. And he got back to the LPL waiting room which is now empty.

And then he got guided back to the stage with XiaoHu giving him the medal.

Thanks for your concern.

We Chinese fans all love Karsa and we don't give a **** to some crazy over nationalist git have to say about Karsa.

1 out of 5 games my client won’t connect to the game after champ select and i get a “leaver” status

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 09:34 AM PDT

go through bans and champ select just fine, que goes through and my client begins to load the game. i'll see the champion loading screen for about 5-10 seconds (no mastery icons load) and then it disconnects. i'm taken back to the league client where it says "reconnect". no matter how many times i try, my client will not connect to the game. i try rebooting my computer and reloading which sometimes works, other times it takes too long and my team votes for a remake which gives me a leaver status for that game. i have no connection issues, i have solid internet and i use an ethernet cable, non-wifi. i've tried running riot's hextech tool and nothing has changed. any ideas what i need to do? this has become more than frustrating as it happens during ranked matches as well and causes me to lose precious LP. any tips or ideas are appreciated, thanks in advance.

Forging blue essence with VS tokens is a pain

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 10:14 AM PDT

When I have 20 VS tokens left and I want to forge blue essence with them, I have to press "10 Blue Essence", "Forge" and "Add To Loot" 20 times and also wait for that damn animation to finish each time. What the hell? Riot has the player base, the money and the developers, yet they mess up the user experience this badly in this case? C'mon.

Going to start getting into the LPL

Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:50 AM PDT

I just have a few questions for those who already watch. What's the narrative? Which teams play at the highest level? (Aside from RNG). Any rivalries? Best caster?

Any info is appreciated!
