| Raynor is so op he breaks the tutorial mode... Posted: 19 Jul 2018 04:07 PM PDT So I just went to the advanced tutorial while waiting for the game to download its data. In the part where you control zeratul and roam for ganks, the nazeebo top top lane dies so quickly against raynor you don't even have the chance to kill him. And this happens since the rework raynor. While it is not a big issue, I just found that it is funny and worth sharing it here :) [link] [comments] | ||

| Suspensions to high volume players Posted: 19 Jul 2018 10:05 AM PDT The purpose of this post is to warn other high volume game players. If you play a high volume of games you are putting your account at risk. I have been playing over 4 years. I have an account over 2160 Level (4 gems). I have never sat afk in base. I'm always a top XP. I refuse to intentionally die (I have a major hang up irl in this subject). I am a 15 year Blizzard consumer and enjoy all of their titles. I have had Direct Message conversations with Dustin Broward about this game. I have the ability to directly send email to a CS Supervisor that will not sugar coat or give a fluff &/or copy and paste reply:
"within the last couple of days" I offered. Begged. To have them review any game. Any. Give me ONE example. Here was his reply:
Blizzard and the dev teams believe in the performance based system. If you play a high volume of games and you are reported, this is NOT over the course of time. This is "right here. right now." For those that enjoy this game and have high volume play. You're risking your account. They're not taking ANY appeals. If you're reported and fall within their performance metrics, you're going to lose your account. While my account is suspended. I started a new one last night. If you do the tutorial you get a loot box with a guaranteed 7-day stim pack. I was able to get two heroes to level 5 and a few more to 2. I should be able to have 16 heroes by next Tuesday. Let this be a warning to high volume players. [link] [comments]
| I made a smurf account, played no games on it and reported it daily... Posted: 19 Jul 2018 08:48 PM PDT And you guessed it, it's banned for 3 days for afk/non-participation. Blizzard is a joke. I should of put more information in, thanks for the reminder comments section! I reported the account 5 times a day for little over a week. However, I wasn't just reporting it for AFK. I did it for all the brackets and that is the one that got chosen. However, when this 3 day ban is over, starting Sunday, I am only going to report it for abusive text chat, once a day, till it gets banned and so on and so forth. [link] [comments] | ||

| Coming from other MOBAs, I have to say I'm quite pleasantly surprised at how balanced HotS feels now Posted: 19 Jul 2018 02:37 PM PDT As title says, it feels weird to admit that HotS feels superbly balanced compared to other MOBAs I've played. I've played DotA since 2005 (?), LoL since 2009 (got the beta skin and all), HoN, some relatively unknown MobAs like AoS and Strife. For reference, I got placed into Gold in comp, so maybe I'm just speaking as a scrub. I tried out HotS a bit when it first came out but was immediately distracted by grad school. Coming back into it, I'm just surprised at how balanced everything feels, and how every single class seems to have the ability to do their desired thing. I never feel as though there was some BS thing that was hidden information (if you play DotA and have had to memorize what BKB blocks you understand...), and while steamroll games do happen I can usually pinpoint immediately what went wrong (although maybe that's just MOBA experience). The first thing to learn was the concept of soaking exp and that some habits from other MOBAs aren't necessary here - not necessarily obsolete, just unnecessary. It's far more rare to feel as though my team is going to lose out of the gate just due to lineup as every character seems to have a ton of flexibility in their talent options, allowing for varied game play and game plans. Just applauding Blizzard here for coming into the scene last but with something good. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. [link] [comments] | ||
| :'( Emojis are confusing and not easy to use, and it's a shame. Posted: 19 Jul 2018 01:06 PM PDT There's several great emojis in my collection that I'd like to use, but it's not immediately explained how they work exactly. I end up using the same 10 emojis in my favourite list, as well as a few other emojis I've memorized. As far as I can tell, the interface hasn't changed much from when emojis were implemented. I want to offer 4 observations/suggestions that I think would make people use emojis more creatively and spice up the chat a little.
It's a minor issue, but whenever Blizzard decide to look at emojis again I want them to consider that making emojis need to be as easy to use as possible. Again, kudos to Blizzard for putting out beautiful emojis. Now I just want to see more of them in the chat! [link] [comments]

| Seems counterintuitive, Cassia... Posted: 19 Jul 2018 10:07 AM PDT When you start a queue for QM with Cassia and she says "The wait is over!" I don't think she quite understands how wait times work... [link] [comments] | ||
| Hey Blizz - Can y'all just send me an automated SMS when I get matched in HL? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 09:04 AM PDT I just waited over 10 minutes for a Hero League match on NA servers before realizing I could be doing better things with my life. Obviously, no successful video game studio ever wants their users to have that epiphany. In my experience, queue times for HL have always been ... not so good. Some of that is just basic math - finding ten players of roughly equal skill level, all of whom are in line at any given moment - that's a difficult needle to thread. It makes sense that at certain times of the day and at certain points on the skill distribution curve, queue times are naturally going to be ... sub-optimal. So here's my modest proposal: You have my cell number. Get at me. Just send one little text message to let me know when it's go-time. I could get a lot of stuff done while I'm waiting for a match, like start a load of laundry, or scoop out the litter box, or ... I don't know ... build a pyramid. It would at least mitigate any negative associations users might develop from having to wait in queue for extended periods of time, and maybe even increase overall HL participation. Anyway, just a thought. [link] [comments] | ||

| I would love a Raynor's Raiders tint for Blaze. How about you guys? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 01:53 PM PDT In Blaze's backstory, it says:
Now, I know that joining Raynor doesn't mean wearing a specific uniform, but I think a black tint would look awesome. It could have the Raynor's Raiders symbol on the shoulderpads and some white flames to make him easier to spot and differentiate. Maybe even add some signs of wear like the veteran tint has. What do you guys think? Edit: I have one more idea. How about a Megas XLR themed skin? Of course he would not have the tattoos, but could have a similar shade of blue with yellow flames on the arms (and maybe legs). This would not be a rip-off, but some sort of reference, like that one Admiral Krakenov tint that looks like Octodad. [link] [comments]
| Posted: 19 Jul 2018 10:07 AM PDT Playing team league yesterday and we join game. The player with bans on our team was literally afk for both of our first two bans, so we didn't get to utilize them nor discuss any kind of strategy. Just thinking a button to signify that you are there after a game is found might help stop this. [link] [comments] | ||

| To Blizzard: Repeal all current bans/suspensions and fix your broken report system before Posted: 19 Jul 2018 02:41 PM PDT Edit: "...before veteran players are forced to choose between making smurfs, playing significantly less or leaving the game outright". Now that more and more dedicated players are receiving bogus warnings/suspensions for AFK/Nonparticipation, which they refuse to review if appealed I think it's time to demand Blizzard immediately address this problem. Not next season, not next month, but NOW. There is absolutely no reason that people should temporarily/permanently lose their years-old accounts with thousands of games just because toxic players want to get back at them for some imagined slight. If this isn't fixed soon, I fear many of the long-time supporters of this game will start to leave in droves. We've already seen how players in minor regions are taking hours/days to find games in Master League. Do we really want to turn this game into a ghost town in every region? Edit: Before anyone asks, no I have never been suspended/warned for AFK/Non. [link] [comments] | ||

| [Skin Concept] Twilight Admiral Stukov Posted: 19 Jul 2018 04:25 PM PDT As a broken man with nothing left to lose, Alexander Stukov rose quickly through the ranks of the Twilight's Hammer. Imbued by the Old Gods with dark power that warped his body as well as his mind, he will not rest until the Hour of Twilight falls upon Azeroth. I got this idea a few days ago in a thread discussing Stukov skin ideas, I thought up the idea since HotS needs more Old Gods-themed skins. | Posted: 19 Jul 2018 06:16 PM PDT So, I was gonna delete all my old replays and found this screenshot hidden in the folder. https://i.imgur.com/xgd3ZTQ.jpg Man, I have a hard time even remembering that it used to look like that. Thing feel so different now (for the better) Edit: Actually, looking at the screenshot it might very well have been one of my first games of HotS. I used to play VS AI when I started, and my first hero I got was Tassadar. [link] [comments] | ||
| Perhaps unpopular opinion: they should completely redesign Illidan Posted: 19 Jul 2018 01:31 PM PDT I've never really enjoyed Illidan and I think part of that stems from the way he plays. The Illidan I've fought against and alongside in WoW isn't this bouncy ninja; Illidan is a beast. Illidan also suffers from not only being difficult to balance because of his lifesteal, but he has suffered greatly as the game has grown and added more and more heroes that either outshine him or counter him. Not to mention his kit just feels very outdated. Rather than rework him, I think Blizzard should make Illidan one of the first heroes they completely redesign. It would be a perfect opportunity for Blizzard to incorporate some of the more iconic abilities that Illidan uses in his boss encounter and some of the abilities he and other demon hunters use in Legion. Eyebeam, blade dance, Shear (imagine the gameplay implications of a hero that can apply a stacking debuff that reduces a target's max health). I really don't think his playstyle of this nimble nuisance that's flipping and diving every which way but hits like a wet noodle really fits the image of Illidan as we know him now. This is a character that obliterated a pesky Naaru at 20 paces with eye lasers. Ordinarily, I know Blizzard doesn't want to completely redesign heroes, but Illidan seems like a special case. He has been notoriously hard to balance due to the way his kit works, and his design really shows its age. [link] [comments] | ||
| Have you ever noticed that you can make all five heroes spin before a game? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 02:53 PM PDT You just need to spin your character during the match search before the game finds the rest of them. [link] [comments] | ||
| Would Imperius be better as a warrior or assassin? Posted: 19 Jul 2018 05:21 AM PDT | ||
| Posted: 19 Jul 2018 07:07 AM PDT Just putting this out there, but I play Brightwing as one of my top 3 characters. Nothing is more fun that using poly in a team fight on a Butcher, or Artanis, etc. Something has been bugging me the last few months with BW though: WHY in the hell does the Plasma cutter on Fenix continue it's circles when Fenix has been poly'd? Not only does it look ridiculous, but makes no sense, since the Fenix poly'd Pig has no laser on top of it to continue making the circles. I know Leoric's drain hope continues while he's polymorphed, but at least that's less science and more magical. Is this Fenix issue done by design, or a bug? [link] [comments] |
