Could we get some longer Asura hair options down the road? :) Posted: 07 Jul 2018 04:06 PM PDT I think the Asura are really cute and they're my favorite race, however, I am sad as they're hair options are very lacking. I'd love to see some longer options added to the game. I tried editing longer hair onto an Asura and I think it looks pretty good: https://i.imgur.com/8jBG3nZ.png [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Jul 2018 03:28 PM PDT Good Evening, after all the recent negativity in this subreddit I thought it is time again for something positive. In today´s Low Man practise we noticed that the old record set by RsT is not without reach, so we went ahead and tried to break it. First we decided that a Bannerslave would not be worth running. In deciding between Mirage and Scourge we went with the player preferences, our DPS players indicated they are more confident on Scourge than on Mirage. Therefore we initally ran a Chaos Chrono, a standard Druid, and 3 Standard Scourges. We soon found out that the GoTL was unnecessary, so the Druid switched to lingering light. The Chrono switched to Domination, for the additional Aegis share. We found that this relieved a lot of pressure of the Tank Scourge. The Tank scourge also ran parasitic contagion to be able to survive more easily. The tactic itself was fairly straightforward. We tried to get as many epis out of the worms as possible, to minimise epiless time until the golem spawns. Afterwards the Chrono took anything between 3-5 stacks, whereas the Scourge took 2 stacks. Players involved were: Apfelkuchen.7143 Scourge Tank lordfirewolf.1093 Scourge DPS Xtra.6380 Scourge DPS Yavida.7136 GF Druid Ayra Lightbringer.2874 Chrono Tank Possible Improvements: 1)The Chronotank was rather sleepy today, therefore he missed some wells. Followingly, the uptimes were about 5-10% lower than on the RsT record. Improved uptimes -> improved DPS. Also, I blew my opening :X 2)The Chronotank played a ministrel-based build. It is also possible to tank that on Commander, and maybe cap Chrono stacks at 3. 3)The Scourges missed some Epibounces -> Some DPS loss. 4)DPS pet on the Druid. Our Druid ran double CC pets, but it turns out that we had more than enough CC between the Chrono and the Scourges. A DPS pet might increase the personal DPS of the Druid slightly. 5)Run a Mirage. At least personally I believe that a Mirage would be a valuable addition, and increase the DPS of the group slightly. Below you can find the video and the DPS log. https://dps.report/urH6-20180707-201355_sh We are aware the improvement from the previous kill is miniscule, and we could have pushed the time a lot further. However, people have schedules and we thought this subreddit could use something fun again :) Thanks for the attention and enjoy your evening! Btw, we are recruiting: https://tinyurl.com/metaraidinguild Special Thanks to Yavida for editing the video and to Perki for the beautiful pink logo. [link] [comments]

[Spoilers] The Caladbolg Mission Foreshadows the Future? Posted: 07 Jul 2018 05:28 PM PDT I was reminded of the final mission of the Knight of the Thorn questline, and thought it was very interesting that the on-screen text in that mission was so poignant to our current situation.
I double-checked the timeline of releases, and that side storyline released about a month before Rising Flames. So while it would be quite a while before we make the discovery that killing dragons is slowly killing Tyria, Flashpoint could be considered the point at which that train of thought was concluded. But I doubt it. The last line is what draws me to believe we have a ways to go before we fulfill this "prophecy." Yes, the Commander was killed by Balthazar, but A) we weren't "drowining in doubt" during that mission, and B) we did save ourselves in the Domain of the Lost. However, we have just received a chilling monologue from Palawa Joko, and Kralkatorrik (and whatever other obstacles ANet surprises us with cough Lyssa cough) is right around the corner. And we do not have a plan for stopping him. We probably won't even have access to Joko's Awakened army again, either. Despite all the Commander's self-doubt that's been written in and confronted time and time again, it's never quite been enough to completely incapacitate us. The Commander has never been beaten down in a way they couldn't recover from. It makes me wonder if we'll ever truly reach our breaking point at the end of the world. So, even if this was meant to be super vague and cryptic at the time it was implemented, I think the Reforging Caladbolg mission did give us a solid heads-up on what was to come, and I kind of hope it has more in store for us than what we've already seen. I dunno. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to point it out. [link] [comments]
This is a long shot but... [TLC] went poof? WTF? Posted: 07 Jul 2018 05:36 AM PDT My guild The Leaky Cauldron disappeared last night. The Discord; gone. The Guild; gone. Was hoping someone from the guild might read this and know what the hell happened?! I'm relatively new to the guild and like an idiot didn't /friend anyone in the Discord or in game. I mean, why would I need to? So now I can't contact anyone. Looks like I need a new guild. Sheesh. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Jul 2018 08:14 PM PDT FAQ
This guide is a list of things to do, across different media, for a player to experience the story of GW2 in chronological order. It is good for brand new players and vets who want to re-experience the story but who don't remember the order of certain things.
Living World is the GW2 equivalent of DLC. It is content and story that bridges the gaps between Expansions. Is is grouped into episodes and seasons similar to television programming.
It is gone, permanently. Originally Living World was to have Tyria be breathing and alive. They were to be historical events for Tyria that occur only once. Not only was the code mostly likely not kept, but if kept it would be incompatible for the current technology GW2 is running on.
Yes, that is partly the purpose of this guide. Not only have players reconstructed Season 1 from Youtube videos, but some events from Season 1 have been implemented in various forms in GW2.
These are when a Current Event began.
These are small quests that occur in central Tyria. They are hinted with cryptic lines in Patch notes, or not even at all. Discovering them at random is the best way to experience them. Hence retaining the cryptic messages. If you want maximum experience do not wiki Current Events or Side Stories. Deepstone Fractal - The cipher Posted: 07 Jul 2018 02:16 AM PDT So in the last guild chat Alex Kain talked about the mysterious language in the Deepstone Fractal and mentioned that he used a cipher from Guild Wars. The cipher is this one https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Language#Ephemeral_Spirit , from Path to Revelations, one of the more infamous lore quests in Eye of the North. It also reappeared in gw2 once before: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Varajar_Fells_Notebook I looked on the gw2 wiki for the spooky lines and translated them. I don't know for sure if these are the only three lines that can appear or if there are some more.
Intruders? Why in place?
Answer us!
Rorkhewn trapped us. The last line might contain a mistake: Kay translates Ejewptim as 'Rock-Hewn' aka the dwarves, but it's a standard substitution cipher so E should always translate to R so the C is wrong. So either it's a transcription error by the wiki, a mistake by the devs, or the devs thought 'ejewptim' sounded cooler than 'ejuwptim', or maybe Rorkhewn is actually just a name of someone (the last option would be the most interesting :p) How Deepstone would be linked to Path to Revelations, I have not a clue, but maybe you might have some ideas!

Installing GW2 in a new PC by copy-pasting. Possible? Posted: 07 Jul 2018 09:43 AM PDT To the experts out there, I have a question. I have a copy of the game with PoF and HoT in my main PC. Last month I got a work laptop and want to play GW2 there as well. Now, I hear that with Star Wars The Old Republic you can start installing the game in a PC, then pause/stop the process early in the beginning and then copy paste all files from another PC's full game. And then the game will work in the new PC. Can we do something similar with GW2? If so, what are the things to keep in mind? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
