~Benedict Baker's Journal, Nov. 1896 Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:07 AM PDT 'When I once again emerged from the fog, I stumbled upon an unfamiliar sight. I was initially taken aback by the blood-soaked figures that stood before me - but as I came to my senses I realised that they were survivors like myself, or at least, this is what I concluded at the time. We moved as a group in search of the nearest generator which gave me time to make several more observations about my new companions. The trio moved with an air of confidence, a large, silver flashlight held limply in the right arm of each. What was most peculiar for me at the time, however, was how two of the three survivors held a striking resemblance to one another. Both were young females of dark complexion who flaunted strikingly similar apparel - twins, perhaps? Before I could dwell in the subject we had found a generator which we methodically began to work on. The spectacled fellow to my right did not work on the generator for very long, however, as he turned around to beckon into the fog. It took me a while to notice the shimmying of warm air moving towards us in the moonlight. Before I could discern what exactly I was looking at, the haunting chime of a cowbell brought forth a willowy spectre, searing its way out of of the warm air in the mist. Then, as if on cue, my three compatriots scattered with frightening speed, and I ran too. In the ensuing panic, I heard one of the women yell out to the rest of us in an otherworldly tongue. The utterance, although hard to transcribe, was very brief. "Wraith, eeh zee, luh mao." Perhaps transcribing this language, which is no doubt beyond my comprehension, is a futile endeavour. Regardless, I must grasp onto any lead which may bring me to salvation from this cruel existence... Once I was certain that the beast was not pursuing me, I retraced my steps back to the generator. Through the thumping pistons of the machine I could still feel the presence of the beast nearby, deep in my chest. And through the dark haze in the distance I saw a baffling sight. The silhouettes of the spectre and the spectacled man streaked and danced around in the moonlight. The strides of the wraith-like creature were determined and yet the paces of the spectacled man were equally confident. For nearly a minute, the two encircled around a piece of debris in a comical display of cat-and-mouse. When the beast got close, the man threw down a wooden pallet, separating the two between the debris. A strobe of torchlight flashed into the sky rhythmically as the creature angrily broke down the wooden pallet. Immediately, the spectacled man ran towards a similar piece of rubble and continued the pursuit in much the same way as before. This charade went on for minutes on end as I spectated in both admiration and fear of what these blood-clad individuals were capable of. Inevitably, however, the chase was led over to me. The creature was quick to change targets and came down upon me with its bone-laden club in two decisive swings. The through the agony, I felt the soft heat of the torchlight on my rear as the spectre lifted me onto his shoulders. It turned quickly and violently as I caught a glimpse of one of the women sheathing their flashlight. "Lag." muttered the woman quietly as she turned and ran. Once the searing pain in my shoulder had abated. I found my self staring into the cold, blinding eyes of the beast which had tried in vain to pursue my comrades - its face expressionless and unmoving and infinitely frightening. From the shrubbery behind the beast emerged the spectacled man. The monster turned to face him, still unmoving beside me, and nodded energetically. In response, the bloodied, spectacled man began to bounce rhythmically on the spot with startling speed. Perhaps the two were communicating? Perhaps these people were not my allies after all - and coming to think of it, I realised that it was the spectacled man who beckoned the beast towards us in the first place. The disturbing charade between the two continued as I felt the appendages of the entity whisk me back to the campfire and back into hell. Before the screaming rage of the entity overwhelmed my senses, I heard a faint, final cry come from one of the bloodied figures. "Fucking camper nhoob." How bewildering. I now write this passage as I once again await my continuing torture at the heat of the campfire. In future, I must learn to avoid these blood-soaked individuals, as they seem to align themselves more with the entity than they do with us survivors...' [link] [comments]
You can still fix gens with hex:ruin Posted: 08 Jul 2018 05:49 AM PDT Really annoyed today since all of my survivor team give up as soon as they get the notification of the hex ruin you can still fix it, it just takes longer! But when I play killer survivors know this and fix all gens without the totem getting destroyed [link] [comments]
