I literally grinded 16 hours for 1 Obsidian dust in soldier grave and i combined for Potion, now new information says there is a new combination for a witch curse that needs 3 obsidian, 3 molar, 1 mercury , 1 golden mirage. Why gate them behind rng shit? At this point its not even fun.

So lets do a nice calculation. It took me 16 hours for 1 Obsidian, 4 hours for a Mercury, and 5 hours for a Mirage and lastly 3 hours for Molar. With my luck thats average of 7 hours for 4 items.

People claim to grind 20+ hours and no single item drop i wouldnt be surprised

Data on the new outfit+swimsuit, and swimming in general.

Hello everyone,

Being a salty sea-dog of BDO (read: spends most of the time harvesting lobsters) I was at first interested in the new swimming outfit, then angry at the bundling.

Considering how little information is actually presented on the store page for the new outfit and swimsuit, I figured I'd take the cash penalty and run some tests so others can spend their money (or don't) with full knowledge of what it actually gets you.

OUTFIT:

The Coco outfit has all the benefits of a regular outfit, as well as the swimming oriented bonuses. If you do not care about how your character looks, the Coco outfit is "statistically" the best option.

In addition to normal pearl outfit bonuses the set has:

Hat: +30 seconds of breathing time

Clothes: +63% swim speed. Stamina consumption during swimming reduction?

3-piece bonus: +42% swim speed (This means no mixing and matching if you want the swim bonus.)

The total swim speed (105%) comes out significantly lower than the shark set (149%), and while it does surprisingly have the breathing time, it does not have the stamina usage reduction! (Update: see~~ be~~low)****

Note: You can toggle the cape on and off, it removes the entire overshirt piece

Note: Goes nearly invisible on female characters when wet

SWIMSUIT:

The swimsuit has no statistical advantage over pearl underwear, and the only benefit it brings is the ability to wear it in safe zones and underwater. When toggling to swimsuit mode it hides all other items from your character, including any cosmetics in the head slots, and weaponry on your person.

Unfortunately, you must manually toggle on the swimsuit option every time you enter a safe zone or the water. This will prove very annoying for you lobster gatherers who were hoping to not have to stare at a shark outfit anymore. The swimsuit automatically switches off the moment you exit a safe zone or leave the water.

SWIM SPEED TESTING:

Given how inconsistent reported data from the game tends to be I tested the swimming speed differences myself. The results were completely unsurprising, and the bonuses add together and behave exactly as you expect.

I performed multiple swims back and forth between two fixed points, recording the time each direction. This was done on a Tamer with a consistent movespeed bonus of +2, with at minimum 4 swims per outfit combination.

If we believed something was off with the numbers it would take significantly more data to be certain, but given how close the results came to the tooltip numbers I think we can be confident there is no hidden evil at play.

Any inconsistencies are likely more to do with the limited data set and minor errors than a real differential in swim speed.

What is neat however, is that I did manage to prove something I quietly suspected. Swimming underneath the water is actually significantly faster. Some additional testing puts it at ~15% speed increase when compared to swimming on the surface - regardless of outfit. This obviously makes the shark/coco outfits even better than they first appear, because the longer you hold your breath, the longer you can keep the speed boost without stopping to surface.

UPDATE

Originally I had missed the swim speed bonus on the shirt. Thinking that was weird I had actually tested and verified that there was no distinction between the set's stamina usage and no set. When people corrected me below (thank you) I was confused and tested again with the same results. Then I tested the shark suit.

The stamina reduction currently does not appear to do anything at all for either outfit set!!

I will test this more when I return from work, perhaps there are some currently unaccounted for conditions I am not seeing.

CONCLUSION

You can buy the Coco set + 1 swimsuit for 2900 pearls. This is slightly cheaper than a head+chest+boots+underwear combo would be at 3200, and comes with bonuses that would be better. So if you think the Coco outfit looks cool, it is worth grabbing.

When it comes to raw swimming power, the shark suit is still massively better, and this shouldn't be considered an alternative.

If you just want to stand around in a swimsuit this is a really bad deal. You are forced to also buy the Coco set, and you will be pushing the swimwear button a lot.

Optimizing my actions regarding lifeskills

These are my current lifeskill levels, I also have master 7 cooking on my alt.

The most obvious way to make a decent amount of money is to process and trade. The thing is I am in no position to buy any weight or the Maid outfit. For now I'm waiting for the processing stones from Dreighan and will most likely semi-active process to try to use up my materials that my 295 cp node network has gathered me (107 in houses and 188 in nodes). Alchemy and farming seem like a drag but I'm willing to give them a try. That would still take a lot of time cooking because would need a ton more cp for alchemy nodes and fences.

So basically I'm looking for any advice on what would bring in money but more specific questions are: what should I gather(other than materials for adv cooking utensils), what should I cook and how much effort would it take to get into a hunting guild?

PS: 269 energy and few inventory slots so fishing is difficult as well

Hi all from EU,

Right now I have a Level 61 Wizard and a Valkyrie 61 too with 536gs both with full TET weapons

I bought all the slots of inventory, weights and outfits for both classes, but since they started with the pvp balance, I do not feel the same playing these classes ...I'm trying to keep playing the Valkyrie, but I do not know if I keep investing time in it ... I have doubts about his situation at high-end grind spots... is she good in aakman/hystria?, she can do something in node wars?

The unique pvp I am playing atm is 1vs1 for defend spots, 80% of the time I win the duels, but when I see others classes flight between spots grinding, I feel bad envy...

I know that all classes can still change and what is good today can be bad tomorrow ... But is that true?. I want know your opinion, you would change classes today, or you would continue waiting for the classes balance end? I do not want to lose the opportunity to change the weapons to another class now that the coupons are in the pearl store... What class is a real solid option?

I been wanting to stream BDO for along time I been trying to stream but the quilty on the stream looks so bad..... I been watching youtube video for settings for OBS and been messing around with the settings to try to get a better quilty but It deosn't change anything. It still have the bad quilty It look so blury and bad.

And It's the only game that I have the prolbem with, have any tips?? (and I know fully well that BDO Isn't that populare to stream but I got to start somewhere) and I hope you don't mind my horrible spelling :)

Skill animation cancels (Musa)

So i've been playing musa for a long time now and i've stumbled across a few skill combos that synergise very well together and some that don't at all. also i never really looked into guides as i like exploring stuff for myself, so maybe some of these are basic knowledge

i wanted to share some of these, hoping that you guys can extend my list or debunk some of it ofcourse you can also do the same with other classes

Awe:

D+lmb - rmb - space/q (cancels end of rmb)

D+lmb - f (speeds up f animation)

f - s+f (speeds up start of s+f, has gotten inconsitant for me recently)

shift+lmb - f (i think)

s+f - rmb (can cancel the skill)

Main:

lmb - space (hold until nemesis) - c (cancels nemesis end)

shit+lmb - shift+lmb+rmb (instant phantom )

lmb - space+lmb+w - shift+lmb+rmb (same but a bit trickier)

and the usual dash cancel (ww+lmb)
