Where are all the fake leaks at?

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:12 PM PDT

It has been almost 3 weeks since we finally saw gameplay of Ultimate, and I have yet to see any "amazing" leaks. What is this fellas? I demand fake leaks on my desk by tomorrow morning! I am becoming very disappointed with the lack of """leaks""" we need some entertainment!

Bayonetta appears to be the only SSB Ultimate character to receive only nerfs as of now.

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 11:09 AM PDT

https://www.ssbwiki.com/Bayonetta_(SSBU))

Even other high tier characters have received certain buffs. Sheik received a buffed back air, Cloud received an Up-B and Side-B buffs (among some aerial nerfs), Mewtwo got some minor buffs, Sonic received a mix of buffs and nerfs, Mario got buffed, and Fox got his aerials buffed (ZSS was barely shown and we have no idea how she is affected). Other characters, mainly Ganon, received insane buffs.

Bayonetta's combo game and Witch Time both were nerfed. The ladder combo in particular is much harder to pull off, down air has less knockback, and forward air isn't as combo-able into other moves (down air or ABK). Witch Time "scales to damage" and is slower, plus can be grabbed now.

The nerfs seem to be fair enough, and aside from these the only other nerf that seems to be required is jumping after the second WT, which needs to be removed. Aside from that, Bayonetta still looks very usable, while being nerfed enough for others to have a better time playing against her. Very excited for SSBU.

Why don't all the Pokémon have their shiny versions as palette swaps?

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 03:00 AM PDT

I was playing some Smash Wii U and noticed that Charizard doesn't have its sleek black shiny color as a palette swap. In fact, multiple Pokémon don't, even accounting for what we've seen of SSBU. Note that only Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu, and Mewtwo were available for the demo, so the others could change.

  • Mewtwo doesn't have its green shiny color, closest is cyan but really they aren't that similar.

  • Charizard, as mentioned, doesn't have its black shiny, though it does have a costume for its original purple shiny.

  • Lucario doesn't have a yellow shiny alt.

  • Pichu doesn't have one in Melee, but wasn't available for the demo, so no clue on this game.

  • Ivysaur has it in Brawl, but I can't find anything for Ultimate. EDIT jk it's there, thanks /u/FellerScoot

  • Greninja has a black form, but the tongue is orange and its face is yellow, whereas in Pokémon its face is dark grey and its tongue is deep red. Not really its shiny colors.

  • This is pretty nitpicky, because it technically is the shiny color, but Jigglypuff's eyes don't change to green in Smash. I'd still consider it having its shiny form though.

So only Pikachu, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Jigglypuff, and sorta Greninja (the last two not exactly matching) have shinies, with Charizard, Mewtwo, Pichu, and Lucario (and tbh Greninja too) missing them. Why don't anywhere from half-ish to two thirds of the playable Pokémon have their shiny costumes in the game?

I'm not criticizing anything, this is just an observation I made of an incredibly minor point that really has little bearing on gameplay. I'm also very tired and it's like 3 am so I'm a tad delirious as usual.
