You're just encouraging people to camp in buildings even more. What competitive purpose does it have to randomly blow you up when you're just trying to get to the zone with no one around you in an open field?

Optimization is difficult, and we shouldn't fault the developers for their attempts. But lack of source control and proper testing procedure is what will continue to hurt this game.

I understand that attempting to optimize spaghetti code is tough. I think the majority of people here recognize that it will take time, if not a complete replacement of the existing engine and codebase.

I also understand that some people here have experienced absolutely no issues. I totally get that, great for you. The problem is this is a multiplayer game, and if the majority quit then you will have no one left to play with. We're all in this together.

What will ruin this game is the apparent lack of source control and testing procedure.

Exhibit 1: The latest patches were sent to the test server, and then seemingly pushed straight into production within 24 hours without any actual testing or feedback. It makes absolutely no sense. Why even bother with the test server in the first place? Can someone on the PUBG team acknowledge why this is?

Exhibit 2: Patch #14 was released almost 2 weeks ago and has received HEAVY backlash in regards to client and server side performance. Rubberbanding, de-sync, lack of ping lock, frame drops, CARS SPINNING IN THE AIR. Why have code changes that led to this not been reverted? Don't start saying "inexperienced developers" because even children can devise rudimentary forms of source control. These guys should have checked out the latest working release prior to patch #14 and pushed it to Steam and the production servers within 24 hours of the issues popping up, or better yet, never have pushed in the first place and actually used the test server for longer than a day.

Exhibit 3: Lack of acknowledgement of the most obvious issues. Whatever the hell is going on with the vehicles is a prime example of this. Again, it has been 2 WEEKS since patch #14, there are hundreds of videos online of cars randomly spinning through the air and exploding, and no proper acknowledgement of it by the developers.

I want to mention love the game concept and want to keep playing so I really hope they work things out. I understand fixing things is tough. But using source control to REVERT changes is not difficult.

Over 600 teams attempted to qualify to get to the Leicester live event, the final part of the PGI EU Qualifier, presented by ESL. Stunning upsets, surprise drop-outs and stellar team performances - the qualifiers had it all!

Now, twenty of Europe's best teams will be playing live from the largest theatre stage in Europe for a slice of $100,000 and, more importantly, a coveted spot in the Global Invitational in Berlin in August.

Fifteen rounds will take place across three days, and when the dust settles three teams will have earned their place in the finals of PUBG's first major worldwide tournament.

Join us for the three days of action at Leicester Haymarket, June 29th – July 1st.

Question regarding Audio Format..

Hey, so i know an update or so back that there was alot of audio changes... and that it was found HRTF didn't play well with Playback Rates of over 16Bit 44100Hz/24Bits 44100Hz. I know a few things where changed in a recent small update regarding footsteps.

So just wondering if anyone knows if Playback rates higher than those two mentioned now work, or if it's the same story with anything higher than those two cutting sound out/dropping sound altogether? It fucking sucks having to change between Playback Rates for different applications and PUBG specifically.

Audio cues to signal when a game is about to start?

It would be nice to have an optional audio cue just before the plane launches (maybe 10 seconds or so) for those that like to do other things while waiting for a match to start.

Thinking something like the beeps in CSGO when queued up for a comp game. It's nice you can hear them while you're alt-tabbed out. They're actually distinct and loud enough I can hear them from my headphones even if I've taken them off but still in the same room.
