| Got a new pokestop right next door! Posted: 27 Jun 2018 03:24 PM PDT I'm a rural player and was surprised to find out my local post office wasn't a pokestop. My cousin was visiting a month ago and she is an avid Ingress player. She told me there was already a portal for the post office, but no one had submitted a picture for it. So, I did the only rational thing and made an Ingress account just to upload an image. It took about 2~weeks to hear back from Niantic but my photo was approved for Ingress and now a day after the photo made its way into Ingress there is a brand new pokestop! Huzzah! | How about Apicorn trees to help rural players to get some balls. Posted: 27 Jun 2018 06:05 AM PDT I though about this idea wile playing Crystal, it's a a good and a natural way to provide rural area's players some way to get balls. Apicorn are canon in the series and game, moreover they are a good way to implement new types of balls while helping my rural folks. They could be implemented with one-time use trees spawning randomly, giving the player 1-3 apicorn. BUT to balance this, the player will have to wait while the Apicorn is processed to an actuall ball. What do you guys think about it ? EDIT : Apicorn are not firearms [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 07:41 AM PDT Sometimes it's easy to tell from the pokestop image which of your friends are local or international, but not always. Plus, it can be hard to remember particular user names when you have a lot of friends. If everyone starts putting their location in their buddy's name, it'll make it easier to open international gifts when you have a free egg slot. Doesn't even have to be too specific, in most cases just province/state and country would be enough. E.g: NY, USA ON, Canada NSW, Aus London, UK [link] [comments]  | ||

For example my Lavitar has been named "NH USA". Until Niantic adds trainer location this is a great way to know you have a shot of collecting a distant and and exotic alolan egg! | Things I would love to see if Pokémon GO Posted: 27 Jun 2018 01:11 PM PDT In Pokémon go* 1: better character customization. I want to be able to look like an old fisherman Granpa if I want! Or a young mysterious psychic child! Seeing the same characters all over the place is boring. 2: some sort of team chat system like Niantics other game has. Would be awesome to sort by city or something. "Hey Guys raid battle at so and so place in 30 I need help!" 3: pokecenters where you can heal your Pokémon. Maybe this could be randomly generated each day around specific areas to avoid one spot gathering too many loiterers (I dunno but I'm sure there would be some legal issues of a poke center was permanently places at a Taco Bell or something. I can only dream) 4: some ability to creep up in curtain Pokémon for small bonuses. Maybe random tall grass can appear In a park and you need to use some sort of tracking device to determine where it is. If you get within a pokestops distance of it you get to catch the Pokémon with some slight upgrade like a cool move or maybe it's holding an item. 5: PVP this is obvious but also would make this game 100% better in my honest opinion. I can see how they could worry about people being mean to others or poor sports but this happens at the rec center and play ground as well. I don't think that this reason is grounds not to introduce PVP and I think on the positive it could even produce even more community bonding. Edit: giving each player the ability to rate the others behavior and sportsmanship like an honor system would help out a lot in making sure people stay civil. Too many reports and you could be banned from pokebattles forever. Like of honor points and you could get special reward!! They could incentivize people to take part in battles to boost their Pokémon power or get some sort of rewards regardless of win or loss. Of course winning would reap greater rewards. Maybe even a region leader board could be put into place or per town or district. Top in neighborhood would even be amazing!! Another scenario would be to allow us to battle other people remotely from our homes or maybe you have to go to a battle hub to connect to the world of trainers also looking to battle around the world!!?? Representing your region on leaderboards could be loads of fun and would allow people to be ACTUAL GYM LEADERS with prestige and all. Maybe even dole out badges to those who are able to beat you. The possibilities are endless and I truly hope that Pokémon team and niantic can continue to develop this game into the bright future it could have. Anyways thanks for reading. I would love to hear any other ideas or criticism you guys all have. I just want to be the very best Pokémon trainer and though the game is fun there is so much to be left wanting. Catch em all!! My family and I had a tough hike to the top of Cathedral Rock, but the view was incredible. I decided check if I had service, and to my surprise Sprint came through. I whipped out PoGo to find a variety of desert Pokemon. It was the perfect ending to a great hike. I can't wait to see what other Pokemon Arizona has for me to catch. There's nothing better than catching Pokemon with your family in this beautiful scenery. [link] [comments]  | ||

| [Idea] Stardust needs some serious retooling Posted: 27 Jun 2018 09:48 AM PDT First off, Stardust costs should not be the same across the board. A level 28 Tyranitar costs the same amount of Stardust to power up as a level 28 Shuckle, despite the ~vast~ difference in power. Candy should be level based, stardust should be Max CP based. Second off, gyms should reward stardust. Since stardust is already kind of a quasi-xp substitute, you should always be rewarded some for battles. My idea is that you should get stardust equal to half the defenders current cp divided evenly amongst attackers. This way we finally have a reason to take on a gym when it's at full power. Finally, give traded pokemon a stardust discount. Traded Pokemon have always gotten an xp boost, so why not do the same with stardust? It gives us more of a reason to trade mons along with the iv reroll. (At at least this way you're guaranteed some kind of a positive outcome) [link] [comments]  | ||
