Greetings Summoners!

With every new patch Riot introduces to balance out champions and items there are some unforeseen issues that creep up and cause disruption during gameplay. We have noticed that these issues which eventually get fixed clutter up the subreddit immediately following the patch.

We want to avoid this by having a single Megathread which will be posted after every patch so that you guys can report the various issues in one place. This allows Riot to easily keep track of the bugs by providing a central hub and also allows other users to confirm that they might have encountered.

Note only bugs caused by the 8.13 Patch should be reported below.


Prerequisites to be noted before reporting a bug

  1. A bug will ideally be accompanied with a screenshot or a video. This provides credibility to your report.

  2. Steps to recreate the bugs should be submitted if possible. This helps Rioters recreate the bug and helps them find the cause behind it.

  3. The bug must have been caused by the latest patch.


Format when reporting a bug: When reporting a bug, please provide as much information as you can about your computer.

Server: The server you encountered the bug (NA, EUW, EUNE, TR, RU, BR, LAS, LAN etc)

Type of Bug: Client Bug, In Game Bug etc

Description: Describe what was the bug that occurred.

Video / Screenshot: Insert screenshot (F12 in game) or Video of the bug occurring.

Steps to reproduce: Provide the steps necessary if someone else had to reproduce the bug.

Expected result: What should have been the result when you follow the steps mentioned above.

Observed result: What was the result you obtained when you followed the steps mentioned above?

Reproduction rate: If you try to recreate the bug how successful are you in causing it to occur? (1/10 : Occurs once every 10 tries, 5/10 : Occurs 5 times out of 10, 10/10 : Happens every single time)

System specs: Processor, Video card, Ram, HDD/SSD, everything you can provide, even drivers.


Example Bug:

Server: EUW

Type of Bug: In-Game Bug etc

Description: Zed's R(Death Mark) does not apply secondary damage

Insert Video / Screenshot of the incident

Reproduction rate: 2/10 (happened 2 out of 10 times)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch a game after selecting Zed as your champion.
  2. Attempt to use Death Mark.
  3. Observe the result.

Expected result: The damage should apply after a short delay, amplified by damage dealt during the effect.

Observed result: The damage will not apply properly.

System Specs: Intel i5 Processor, Windows 7, Nvidia Graphics card (insert model number) etc.

I requested account data about 30 days ago and today realized 30 days had passed and i was yet to hear a reply. So i requested a human that its been 30 days and i haven't received my account data. After a few hours i get a reply from a rioter with a zip file. Upon opening it its someone with name "***"(can i disclose it?) and not me. I just sent them email that this isn't my account data and yet to hear a reply. Either way this is a serious issue because if i have someone else account data who has mine?

Old Essence Reaver and Essence Flare should both coexist as separate items, since they both suit different users.

Old Essence Reaver was an perfectly balanced item that suited a bunch of champs.

New Essence Flare is a really fun cool effect, niche in a few champs.

Why can't we have both? Old ER+Zeal item+New IE would still be 100% crit and a nice core for some champs.

Riot just implemented a new item to Summoners Rift, called "Runic Bulwark" without mentioning it anywhere

Riot just implemented a new item to Summoners Rift on the live servers, called "Runic Bulwark" without mentioning it anywhere.

It replaces Redemption ingame, but in the shop it's still called "Redemption" and also the chat says "XYZ bought redemption" - but in the inventory it's renamed to "Runic Bulwark"

The stats are +200HP, +0 Armor, +0 Magic Resist - And these stats are actually true, but the unique aura it gives, "Grants nearby Allies Armor/Magic Resist/HP regen" doesn't apply. Instead the Item has the old effect, as can be seen in the pic below.

I guess Riot just implemented an item from pbe without their intention to do so on the live servers.

Surpassing Faker himself, the probably-best-current Aatrox in the world has made it to the top 3, only about two wins away from Rank 1. As of typing this post, he has a 65% winrate on Aatrox, with 284 games played. Aatrox may have been a stat-check mess of a champion for the majority of his existence, but he got his time in the sun.

This is pretty much the same speed as Ezreal and doesn't even involve rushing Archangel's. You go Tear/ROA or ROA/Tear, and going Tear after ROA only delays Seraph's by a couple of minutes.

Not surprised, 35% winrate will do that to you and Riot has been watching new champ release/reworks like a hawk on release. I'm surprised they did nothing for his CDs though which are especially brutal.

The new Aatrox has some serious ability wording issues

In almost all ability descriptions ingame there are unclarities and a general lack of information.

I was only able to obtain that by checking the wiki. Added the full information in italics.

Passive

  • It's not clear how long the "Mutilated" debuff lasts, nor what percentage the heals and shields are decreased by.
    Lasts 3 seconds and the decrease amount is 40%
  • The description doesn't tell you the amount of cooldown reduction you get when hitting your Q precisely.
    The passive cooldown gets decreased by 2 seconds when hitting the red zone of Q

Q

  • There is no text on how much time you have to reactivate Q before it goes on cooldown.
    You have 4 seconds to reactivate Q
  • The description says that the ability damage is increased on further casts. By how much? No information on that and hovering over the ability for the second or third hit doesn't tell you anything.
    The second cast deals 25% more damage, the third and final one deals 50% more
  • You also deal bonus damage if you hit the enemy with the edge of the blade (the red zone), but no explanation given how much more damage it deals.
    The damage in the red zone is increased by 50%

W

  • No issues.

E

  • You only know the ability cooldown (which is NOT reduced by cooldown reduction), but not the recharge time. The only way to obtain that information ingame is to hover over the levelup button if you have the chance.
    Recharge time is 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12, which IS reduced by cooldown reduction
  • After the dash you briefly gain attack damage. No clarity about how long for nor how much AD you gain.
    You gain 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 attack damage for 1,5 seconds

R

  • This for me is the worst offender. You gain movement speed at the beginning and out of combat and also bonus attack damage. The whole ability description is void of any stat numbers.
    You gain 120 / 180 / 240 movement speed and 20% attack damage
  • When casting the ultimate, you fear nearby minions. No statement on how long. This is rarely relevant, but a similar ability like Volibears Majestic Roar is very clear about that.
    Nearby minions are feared for 3 seconds
  • While the ability is active you chage up your blood pool. If you die, revive with a amount of health regarding how full the blood pool was. No information on what the health scaling is nor how long it takes or in general what happens during the revive.
    The amount of health you revive with is equal to 15% - 50% (based on duration) of his maximum health. The revive takes 3,25 seconds in which you are untargetable, unable to attack and cast spells and also slowed by 25%

There is so much information missing in the ability descriptions, it's quite concerning.
Some things are less relevant and can clutter up the ability textbox, but leaving out many stat boosts and damage numbers is surely the wrong way to go.

If someone ragequits 10 minutes in, one player can hold the rest of the team hostage in a 4v5 by voting no to early surrender -- Why?

In a post on the boards, a Rioter (Meddler?) recently announced that their data shows that virtually all pre-15 forfeit votes which fail 4-1 go on to be either losses or 20 minute forfeits. In other words, requiring 100% yes votes wasn't leading to comebacks, it was just delaying games that were already over.

In light of this, they said they'd be rolling out the standard ff rules to the 15 minute vote. But that was weeks, if not months ago -- what happened since then?

Her health regeneration has been tweaked a lot over the years. She was released with a whopping 12 hp/5, and her lowest was 2.5 HP/5.

Why the New Irelia Will Never Work by Irelia Carries U

Hey everyone, I just wanted to well bring up some points about Irelia and why I believe that the new one will never reach an optimal state of balance.

TLDR: New Irelia is very fun but very unfun to play against like old Irelia, but much worse in that regard. I am starting to feel like she just is not going to work. I cant see how shes gonna be in a good state. She's either going to be very strong or very weak a worse state than the old irelia (who was pretty balanced/on the weak side for the last year or so).

As it stands, the new Irelia can Q multiple people upwards of 3+ times (since CDR will enable you to q every few seconds) and paired up with her massive damage reduction, AOE stun that marks and the new ultimate, it makes her a nightmare in team fights and when she snowballs as she can 1v2, 1v3... 1v4 with relatively easy. Compared to the old Irelia, this is something that was impossible. The new Irelia as a result will either be too strong or too weak, unlikely to be in a 'balanced' state because of this. Any leads on her will be exacerbated by the fact that her kit makes her very hard to pin down and it is very hard to keep a track of all of her Q's. Not to mention, the fact that she can Q the same person multiple times means that no matter what, she'll always be good vs squishy champs. The old Irelia was at least somewhat tolerable by squishy champs in lane since her trade pattern was quite predictable and you could play around it. In team fights, once she jumped on someone there was a down time (about 6 seconds at max cdr which is a pretty long time in team fights) to kite her, punish her etc. The tenacity helped in this regard, but towards the end of the old Irelia her tenacity became useless and quite widespread anyway (tenacity rune, steraks giving tenacity etc).

Furthermore, while the old Irelia was not too oppressive against squishier champs (barring the time where E max into sheen Irelia was a thing), she also had good opportunities to duel other melee champions. The current Irelia will likely never be good in melee vs melee matchups vs other bruisers because her passive gets countered by resistances and it does very little damage early levels compared to the on hit W of old Irelia. This means that she will continue to be a better mid laner than a top laner and will end up being a Yasuo 2.0 due to the amount of Q's that you can use on the same person or multiple other people. This is a problem because her gameplay style is literally landing an E and looking to one shot stacking that with her ultimate to get another Q. Even if you miss the E on her you can still one shot squishy champs with relative ease because you can get more than one Q off post level 6. Something which should be punishable is only punishable by top lane champs that can literally kill her while standing right next to her in her ult, while mages/adcs have to kite (and as a result they walk into her ult and get disarmed or get destroyed in melee range). As you can see it makes sense as to why her mid lane will ALWAYS be much better than her top lane since there is very little a squishy mage can do against her.

Anyway, I don't exactly know how this is going to be fixed as she will remain an all or nothing champ as it stands currently. If anything old Irelia's kit might've been better to work with, with updates similar to the ones of Singed/Alistar without remaking the kit in its entirety. The current Irelia will always revolve around one shotting squishies with her Q marks (which they cant do shit about), and abusing the fact that her W negates a lot of burst and her ult stops any squishy from punishing her from range.

Why do I have to see dumbed down ability descriptions?

As the title says. Take it with a grain of salt.

I've been palying this game for years and not 100% casually, and I think lot of the players aren't casuals too. With this patch, they made every ability description shorter and dumbed down.

Just take Aatrox's ult: He can revive. With how much hp will I revive with? Let's say I pop my ult in lane before fight, die during fight revive - "So It gives back half my hp, that's cool" - Go into an another fight pop ult late because it was in cd, and now I only get back 300 hp - "What the hell? This is not half my hp and now i'm going to die here after revive" - SUPRISE, you could have moved during that revive time. It doesn't even say that you can move during it, which is unique, beucase the 2 other revies don't let you move (GA and Zilean). And no, I don't want to hold Shift just to read the detailed description, especially when the text just "jumps" so if I start reading it, stop for some reason then continue it, my eyes get all messed up by the text altering.

I get it, this is a nice feture for new people and those who play only for fun and not really invested in the game. The short description is good, because you can understand the basics of the ability, while not having watch out for so many things. And the little extra things, like the fact that I can see that an ability deals extra damage to minions and whatnot is great. But this problem could have been solved with having a button in the options somewhere that let's you choose the default description method: shorter or extended.

tl;dr: Just make ability descriptions toggable in options.

Sion/Kled are a big "counter" to deaf people.

This has been pointed out before but riot hasn't done anything about it. There should be some sort of visual indicator that the enemy Kled/Sion ulted. It's not only a problem for deaf people but also for people that just like to play without sound.

What's up everyone, I am KatarHero72, better known as Hyper10sion or "The Power Levels Guy" and I'm here your lore enjoyment. Time I took a stab at the newest rework to hit the rift, Aatrox, King of Edgelords. Is he a cut above the rest after his changes?
Everyone knows how this is going to go at this point. I am going to analyze Aatrox in five categories: Makeup, Physical Abilities, Magical Abilities, Weaknesses, and Feats. I will then place him into one of my five tier lists (which can be found at the bottom of this post), explaining the placement as well.
Also before we get started I will put all of my sources here. Bio The Cage Aatrox: World Ender

 

Aatrox, The Darkin Blade

Makeup: Aatrox is a Darkin, the name given to the warring and corrupted Ascended of Shurima after the death of Azir and the empire's fall. Currently he is trapped within his blade, corrupting and controlling any poor soul unfortunate enough to lay hands on the living blade. Aatrox morphs his vessels to look more like his original Darkin form, which in the biggest version seen is massive. Using his splash art and his in game proportions, I have determined that in the splash art Aatrox stands at 6.78 meters, or about 22.25 feet tall discounting his wings. Given the perspective of the splash art and World Ender, this seems to be very close or within reasonable margins. At this height his blade would be over 20 feet long, around 6.34 meters in length. As a Darkin he also ages slowly to the point of near immortality. You get the point.

Physical Abilities: Aatrox is a physical phenom only surpassed by the likes of Ornn, Volibear, Renekton, and the Titans of the Harbinger tier. He has seemingly endless stamina and a healing ability as a Darkin, however this ability does have limits. He boasts of having beaten a previous Pantheon, who is controlled by the spirit of war, in combat. If his body is destroyed he can simply obtain a new host on the battlefield, making him a nearly unstoppable combatant. He can maintain flight with his massive wings, and possess the strength to slaughter an entire platoon with a single swing of his massive blade.

Magical Abilities: Though not the most adept Darkin in the art of magic, Aatrox has become a master of sorts in his solitude within his prison. He can control a host in the blink of an eye and absorb the bodies of his enemies to increase his strength. The extent of the latter ability is unknown, but he thought to himself to claim the bodies of an entire walled city. If Aatrox is going to be honest to anyone, it is his own brain.

Weaknesses: Aatrox, despite his power, does have a few glaring weaknesses. His forms do not last very long, meaning he has to keep fighting and killing or groom a suitable host to maintain his form. Using his full power causes bodies to burn out even faster.

Feats: Aatrox has "lived" for millennia, since well before the fall of Shurima. He has killed a previous incarnation of Pantheon by his own claim, can turn massive, and has won countless battles as a front line warrior. It took the intervention of Targon to take him down in the first place.
(Side Note: Given Aatrox's bio says that the Pantheon that helped gather the army to defeat him was newly reborn, Aatrox's claim that he killed a Pantheon has merit. Why would you need a newly reborn one unless the old one just died?)

Summary:

Aatrox is a monster on the battlefield, capable of battling entire armies and coming out on top due to his form absorption, combat prowess, and immortal status. While his weakness is fairly glaring, he has overcome this for periods of time by grooming a suitable host. For this multitude of reasons I believe Aatrox deserves to remain in the Transcended Tier.

Stormrazor is a terrible item

The idea is just flawed. The whole point is to give you some bonus damage after a delay which goes down with attack speed but it really just doesnt fit anywhere. It's good for early game damage but once you have 3 items, the passive part is completely useless, it's far more worthwhile to just keep attacking rather than stop and wait.

It literally goes against the point of 90% of the adcs which is to dish out lots of damage by aa'ing as much as possible.

The state of Garen.

First of all, I've played Garen since I started playing this game six years ago, and ever since the juggernaut patch I've despised the villain system. It is extremely dumb. It's a polarized mechanic which in many scenarions means that if the opponent is the villain you win and if the opponent isn't the villain you lose.

It's not a mechanic anyone can really control either. It's not fun for anyone.

Plus, 1k+ point-and-click true damage abilities are incredibly dumb.

 

Secondly, Garen is just way too weak early on. He's way too dependent on levels. Like how his passive becomes several times stronger at level 6, 11 and 16, like how his E becomes stronger at level 4, 7, 10, 13 and 16.

It's painful to lane against basically anything. Suddenly for no reason he can one-shot anything that walks close to him because he's level 11.

I just want Garen to scale more linearly.

 

Thirdly and last, make his Q animation just like 0.3 seconds faster.

It's so frustrating when you miss CS because the animation is slower than your regular auto-attacks. And then you get stuck in a loop where you miss four CS because the animation was too slow.

Riot Meddler Twitter Q&A

Meddler mentioned he couldn't get a QGT post out today so he's doing a QA instead here are some answers he posted:

On Runic Bulwark on SR

Runic Bulwark on SR briefly today was just a bug, no plans to bring it back.

On potential Twisted Fate changes

Nothing currently planned, we think he's in a fairly stable spot right now.

On if Kayle needs an update

Agreed. We'll do a large scale update to Kayle at some point, likely paired with some smaller work to Morgana (her kit's in a much better spot, so more visual focused).

On Ryze/Azir changes and Lissandra passive

We've shelved work on Azir/Ryze that isn't just balance tweaks. Didn't have enough confidence the changes we were testing would land well and think we should spend the time on other champs. Liss - testing a different passive right now. Might have details to share next week.

On Fizz W changes:

We're going to take another stab at Fizz W changes on the PBE this cycle, aiming to incorporate elements of the new and old Ws. TLDR: Passive - AAs apply a DoT Active - Next attack deals magic damage. If it kills, it resets. If it doesn't, Fizz gets magic damage on hit for 6s.

On Ezreal's Q proccing on hit is healthy

I think it is personally, despite the balancing cost it creates. Champions being able to do unusual and creative things like that leads to a lot of cool discovery and variety IMO. Would prefer to have other champs be like Ez in that regard that strip that off Ez.

On Katarina right now

I think current Kat's a much better design, particularly in terms of clear skill expression and improved counterplay. It is a notably different take on things though, so can certainly understand how some old Kat players might not be fans of it.

On Kalista missing AAs when people are out of vision

AAs missing - other champs AAs cancel when they lose vision. Kalista's already dashing at that point though. Options were have her dash without a missile (felt really weird) or have the AA miss. 90% - Possible depends on how much power should be in Rend versus regular AAing.

On anymore Kindred changes

Nothing further right now. We've pushed quite a lot of power into them with recent changes, so need to see where that settles.

On if there any plans to shift power out of assassins

Buffs to a range of mages in the short term (8.14), then we'll see how the mid lane ecosytem's looking.

On any Caitlyn changes

We're not going to let Cait just die out and vanish. She's the ADC we're most cautious about buffing right now though since she defines who can exist in bot lane when she's balanced to strong. Need to treat her carefully to avoid pushing all non ADCs out of bot lane as a result.

On Aatrox

Aatrox - Should be able to talk what is/isn't working once he's been out for a bit longer and players have had more time to learn to play as and against him. Reacting too quickly to useability feedback on updates/new champs has somtimes been very problematic in the past.

On TP

Yeah, TP's been strong forever and seems to be picking up even more steam now with bot laners also adopting it. Likely have TP nerfs in 8.14, though not sure on details yet (removal of partial refund on cancel's one option we're considering, along with straight CD increase).

On Soraka lore and gameplay

Her lore will get an update. Not sure on timing (narrative's not my area of expertise), but will certainly happen. Apologies because I know it's been in need of an update for quite a while. Gameplay - nothing currently planned, we don't think she needs more complexity added.

On monthly patching

Monthly would give more stability and time to adjust to changes. Does mean problems take extra weeks to get addressed too though. We think 2 weeks still makes sense as a result, but are cutting back on low impact/low confidence changes in patches too.

On Talon

We'll be at least testing Talon nerfs during the 8.14 dev cycle. Not guaranteed they'll ship yet, but suspect something probably will. Agree with your assessment of ability to dictate when fights happen plus control over outcome being too strong a pairing.

On Aatrox and Yorick

Yorick - closer to too strong than too weak. No plans currently for nerfs, keeping an eye on him though, 8.12 helped him more than expected. Aatrox - Open to the possible of a hotfix buff, need to do a review with the team later today.
