Halo Infinite was announced during the briefing, revealing the next chapter in the Master Chief's journey. Here's the description from Halo Waypoint:

The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling engine demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions.

When the walky-talky bleeps at this point in the trailer it's morse code. It says SOS ZETA HARO GRD. Zeta Halo is installation 007 which has a unique species of deer that we see earlier in the trailer. 007 also has a shitton of protograveminds in storage.

A rant from a fan: Microsoft, just don't lie to us with the marketing again.

With E3 upon us, I just have one request of Microsoft and 343... Please don't pull the same crap you did with the marketing of Halo 5.

If that game was marketed as two Spartan teams racing to find the cause of several disasters, one an AWOL squad of legends and the other a young A-Team tasked with bringing their heroes in... I feel the backlash would have been minimized quite a bit.

But the commercials, the trailers, "hunt the truth", all so freaking AWESOME and had nothing to really do with the game. You threw us for a curve ball but not the kind that fans enjoy; "hey this isnt what we spent a year looking forward to."

Just be honest with us. We will eat up all the hype, you know I know it we all know it, but please don't pull that again. I'm telling you guys- are you listening Microsoft?- a lot of the negative fan response to Halo 5 was a direct result of the packaging not matching the contents.
