| One of the saddest things I found in Guild Wars 2 Posted: 22 Jun 2018 08:25 AM PDT So I was doing map completion in the Domain of Vabbi when I found this one point of interest called "The Boneyard". At first I figured it was just a graveyard and I thought nothing of it. That is until i saw some Jackal portals. And one of these portals led me to a Discarded Awakened. When I explored "The Boneyard" further, I found that it was filled with these Discarded Awakened, many of whom were still saying things like "Praise Joko", or "Let me serve", or "Awakened. Ready to help." And it just made me really sad. To think that they'd been awakened and, judging from their quotes, want nothing more than to be able to serve and be of assistance. And they were just thrown away. The Discarded Awakened aren't even doing anything. They're just standing in place or lying down, waiting for the end to come and still hoping that maybe Joko will come back for them. Like a child hoping their parent will come back for them. Posted: 22 Jun 2018 04:34 PM PDT With reveal of trailer for episode 3 of LW Season 4 I've noticed few patterns that may suggest we may have 6 more episodes to play after 26th of June. Here are reasons why I believe that would be the case. Reason no.1 Reason no.2 @edit Some screenshots of new gathering node from the trailer. Reason no.3 Story we've seen so far fits perfectly the pattern I just mentioned. Episode one sets the villain, episode two sets villains plans and I can bet from trailer episode 3 will set that plan in to motion. So Joko shows up, Joko finds scarab plague, Joko releases the plague, end of Act I. In Act 2 we deal with the plague and somehow find a way to stop it. In Act 3 finally we deal with the villain, and somehow transit in to the next expac. I know it may seems a little bit far fetched, but I genuinely believe that is what Anet is doing right now. What do you guys think about it? I, personally would be more than happy if that was the case. PS. Since there aren't too many low-mans left that haven't been done before, we decided to go for this one due to the challenges this encounter presents. The biggest problem was finding and executing a composition that can keep up boon and condition (vulnerability & weakness) uptimes and reliably break his breakbar with only 3 players while also providing enough immobilizes and ground control to keep Rigom from running out of Samarog's hitbox. To achieve this we used two Axe/Axe Mace/Mace Base Warriors with Bolas, a Triple Conjure Staff Weaver and a Staff Chaos Chrono.

| Could someone tell me why Deadeye was nerfed? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 02:04 PM PDT Was it necessary? From my understanding DJ (Death's Judgement) was quite dangerous but could they not have tweaked the numbers? Not to mention I've noticed that malice no longer gives damage boosts like it used to. Sniper's cover is just a worse Smokescreen and being forced to stealth in order to use a #1 move feels weird IMO. Thief itself seems to have the lowest health (not sure if this is true but it feels like it), has virtually no defensive capabilities, and requires a significant degree of effort to survive. Not sure if I'm wrong but I thought it made sense for thief to have high offensive potential. High risk, high reward. Now it feels like high risk and minimal reward. This is how it feels in PvE. For PvP, well I'm only in the first level of gold and sometime drop to the third level of silver so I can't really talk about how deadeye performs in PvP. Though from my experience I typically do well against any class except for warriors (spellbreaker), guardians, mirage mesmers, and rangers. Sorry if these rants are frowned upon here but I'm pretty upset with Deadeye right now. I liked it before when stealth wasn't necessary for rifle. [link] [comments] | ||||||||||||||||||||

| [EU] Dungeon runs for new Players - 7:00pm CEST today!! Posted: 21 Jun 2018 11:42 PM PDT Hello everyone! After reading a post about a new Player getting kicked from his own group (stating he and his friend were new) for watching cutscenes in a dungeon, I decided to make a scheduled Dungeon run without any rush and to answer questions etc. It shall start today around 7:00pm CEST (5:00pm Server Time) with the Ascalon Catacombs Story Mode and from then on, we will see how far it goes (until I fall asleep/am too tired). I would be glad to hear of a few other people who would like to lead a few dungeon runs if there are a lot of newcomers who want to join in on the fun as I can only have 4 people around. I think the easiest way to get this running is by just posting my friendcode here: hecki.2701 People can contact me ingame around 6:30 pm to ask for a spot in the group and of course if there are other group leaders, feel free to post your name here so if there is an overflow, I can redirect them to you/ask you are free. Let's get this started and "revive" dungeons again!!! Happy clearing everyone! EDIT 1: I like some suggestions of actually teaching the dungeon mechanics etc. My problem is I never did dungeon speedruns myself and do not know ALL mechanics myself. My purpose was mostly to play at anyone's pace to make it possible to watch cutscenes for the stories etc. etc. Please don't expect too much of me. I will still try to answer everything I can and of course make sure we finish every path etc. EDIT2: We have 1 full starter group for the 7pm start! From the posters here it is "Company_" and "PhobusPT". Feel free to ask for spots/text me ingame anyway. I haven't been able to pin it down yet, but it seems like the springer's max jump feels oddly low on some maps while it's super high on other maps. It's almost like there's a coefficient for each map that controls the max jump height on that map. ...or I need to think about switching to decaf.
