New Adventure- Hel's Inner Demon Arena

The Arena Game Mode has a completely new environment with many new features!

  • New Hazards
    • Dangerous water pools on the map will kill a player if they stay there too long
  • New Objectives
    • 3 Serpent Demons will spawn in the center of the map every 2 minutes
    • Whichever team kills 2 of the 3 will get a Titan Juggernaut
    • These juggernauts follow normal arena juggernaut rules, except they will attack nearby enemies when stopped
  • Demon Jungle Buffs
    • All Jungle buffs will last 60s instead of 120s, but have more powerful effects
    • Demon Red buff provides 20% Movement speed in addition to Power
    • Demon Blue buff provides 10% Damage Mitigation in addition to Cooldown and Mana Regen
    • Demon Purple Buff provides Haste effect in addition to Basic Attack Power and Attack Speed
  • The Bonus Round Returns
    • Slay your opponents in a 5v5 deathmatch after the game for extra points

Quality of Life

  • Respawn timers have been changed for this Arena
    • Respawn times for a team is now consistent based on time/performance
    • This avoids the chances of a team dying and having an unexpectedly long or short respawn timer
    • Teams still respawn in waves set by the time of the first player to die
  • Ticket Earned Feedback
    • An in-game visual has been added to help players see what actions they are doing that subtract tickets from the enemy team
  • Portal Animations
    • Minions and Juggernauts now walk directly into the portal instead of animating in ways that can confuse players if they are hittable or not

  • Rage
    • Increase Critical Strike chance from 20% to 30%
    • No Longer provides 10% Critical Strike upon evolving
  • Evolved Rage
    • No bonus on max stacks so this is a normal stacking item. Rage will show new icon and total stats (20 Power, 40% Crit Chance)
  • Soul Gem
    • Decreased Bonus Damage from 40% to 30% of your Magical Power.
  • Warlock's Staff
    • Decreased Health per Stack from 4 to 3(This item now grants 500 health when fully completed, down from 600 health. )

    • Wind Fire Wheels-Ne Zha and the player he has grabbed are now damageable upon landing. Rather than losing their collision, they gain player pass through and Ne Zha gains CC immunity for the duration of their landing animations

    • Last Breath- Serqet and the player she has grabbed are now damageable upon during the throw. Rather than losing their collision, they gain player pass through and Serqet gains CC immunity for the duration of their throwing/thrown animations

Then HiRez trying to explain that they were disappointed with how they have been handling console patches, and that they must be better. Oh wait... Must just be having deja vu.

Please Let The Next Adventure Be Less Grindy.

First off, I would like to state that, very many people have complained about the same thing. Second, I apologize if my math is off, please feel free to correct it.

I would like to preface this by saying, I did buy into this adventure, to get the Daji skin, so I have the double points, So I earn about 1000 points per adventure (somewhere around their I believe). In which you need 9000 points to access the chest. So best case scenario you need 27000 points. (getting a skin out of each chest you open out of 3) Which, is very unlikely. However, you do eventually get a guaranteed skin after 7 chests. If you fail to get a skin out of the first 6 chests, thats 63000 points(for a single skin) If you were to fail, and get it on the 7th chest each time thats a total 189000 points.

Now lets get onto the adventure. It was very boring, repetitive, and just plain. It's literally a 20 minute grind fest, It was fun the first TWO times I've played it. It is incredibly easy, yet I run into people who seem to have 0 clue what they are doing. Not buying items, trolling, afking ETC.

I get the adventures aren't the main reason for the game, but they still need more effort put into them. Some of the bosses were extremely glitchy, in terms of animation and execution (The Wizard, who turns around the literal second before he fires)

PS: To anyone who grinded this without buying into the Da Ji bundle. You are a god, among men. I don't know how you could take it.

Console role calling broken again

Seems every patch the first day or so role calling is broken on console. So every casual conquest game ends up with 3 junglers, a mage, and a Loki. And ranked you have to call role by using the 10 seconds of the planning phase to call a character.

How does this keep getting through every single patch?

Is it really that hard to keep the SPL match results up to date?

We've had them update as soon as sets are over in previous years, so why not now? It's really annoying as someone who doesn't have time to sit and watch every match to know the results. Yeah, I can look up the results and cross-reference but that's not something that should be necessary for us to do.

HiRezRedd said role calling will be broken for two weeks, and I'll be honest, I usually don't get mad by any of the bugs they have. But we have had this bug once before just a few weeks ago and if this does not get fixed earlier, this is a massive loss in their public image. Bigger than their "Low-Rez" comments or the money gouging chests and skins, I mean we are talking they will lose HUGE amounts of credibility and trust from the console community going forward to the point of almost protesting the game outright. No bs.

Discussion Hirez New God Schedule

I dunno about you guys, when i heard that hirez will slown down i didn't think it's will be that huge sure we are reaching the 100 gods mark and they need more time to make more creative kit and more polished gods, though the new gods kits aren't that creative i mean compare to others gods they don't feel that different(i don't feel how achilles and cerberus are more creative than fafnir or morrigan) however yeah they are more polished

My main issue is we know nothing about what is coming and i don't really like the situtation because i have like zero hype for new gods and i feel like in the long run i will lost interest in new gods. I think since gods are coming slower hirez should definetly tease the gods more before we had datamining with the name of the gods that hype IMO was kinda good and we could theory craft about the god or the design. Now we basically have nothing and IMO that a bad thing there is no hype about new gods hell i'm more hyped about the events than new god since they seems to come just when they are ready and they aren't that impactful

I think we need some changes or maybe i'm just spoiler because of the old schedule but please give us something a name , concept art , tease or trailer something to build hype atm we have nothing :/

Add Lobby/Team Chat to Console

This can help solve Role Calling and Players Accepting especially in Ranked if You are Top 2 Elo you get first choice

Ik pc Doesnt Care about console but it is a struggle for us because players dont respect Role Calling at all and it would be a nice addition anyways

Some useful commands for newer players and veterans alike

/reconnect Rejoin your game in progress. Guys this one is really helpful. If smite is being funky or your voice chat isn't working in game and it's not settings or you're laggy or anything, USE THIS COMMAND, don't quit Smite and wait 5 minutes to get back in to a match that might end in that time frame.

/w playername message Send a message to a specific player. (For example someone on the enemy team).

/r message Respond to a player's message. Playername will default to the previous message.

/c message Send a message to your clan.

/p message Send a message to your party.

/g Returns to general chat.

/lfg Join the "Looking-for-Group" channel. Guys, this is really underrated, the community should use it more, regardless of level.

/claimpromotion promotioncode Allows the user to claim promotional codes from anywhere in the game, even during a match.

/shot Take a screenshot

/stat fps Toggle the Frames-Per-Second indicator. (You can also press F8 to toggle this.)

/stat unit Toggle an advanced frame time indicator.

/spectate playername Begin spectating. If a game is not currently being played, you will be queued to spectate that player's next game.

/quit Closes Smite.

/exit Similarly to /quit, closes Smite.

press k in match to see abilities, as well as turn off auto skills

press t in match to see damage dealt/ received, as well as each teams top damage, kills, mitigated, and gold

press y in game to see how you died

press v for voice commands menu

hold down left alt to free your mouse, click on the HUD map to ping a point

These are meant to help out those who are new to the game and even to remind some veterans. My buddy who has played since season 2 didn't know a few of these, so I thought the Smite community might need this too.

Fun custom I've been running in between games or if I don't want to solo queue.

Rules are standard duel, 1500 gold, level 3, joust map, with random pick on. Then make the room 5v5, and fill it with bots of the same type (tanks are more fun in my experience).

Your goal is now to lead an army of bots to defeat your opponent, who is leading an identical army. The easiest was to make a match up more even is to have eight Ymirs freezing and walling all across the map. You can try to focus your opponent directly, or try to wear down the force of 4 bots pushing against your bots, similar to my times playing jungle in silver.

Hopefully someone else has as much fun with this idea as I have so far :)
