Bethesda sues Warner Bros for 'Westworld' game - calls it a "blatant rip-off" of Fallout Shelter Posted: 22 Jun 2018 08:37 AM PDT I saw this on a couple of gaming news sites today and thought it would be interesting to share here. Apparently Warner Bros' new Westworld game uses some of the same source code that Fallout Shelter does, so Bethesda has filed a suit. They claim that a bug that was present in a version of Fallout Shelter and was patched is also present in the Westworld game, reaffirming that it is stolen code. So at least keep an eye out for that. Checking local stores would probably be your best bet. Wouldn't count on online stores for that. [link] [comments]
Playing Fo4 on Fallout-style TV with tube glowing Posted: 22 Jun 2018 12:30 PM PDT Same model/info that we've posted before - but a picture of the actual TV in the game - on the real-type of TV! (This is a Philco Predicta IIRC from 1959) Here's the image: [link] [comments]
Jumped into fallout 4 for the first time today Posted: 22 Jun 2018 08:32 AM PDT I saw the trailer for 76, and thought it was pretty cool. I decided, since I am using my xbox gamepass trial, that I would try fallout 4, just to see how the feel of the franchise is. I must say, this game is art. I started yesterday, I just got to the first BoS quest, and I have loved every step of the way. All of the characters seem genuine, and have their own personality. Oh, and the power armor is just so........ "I HAVE THE POWERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR". The map seems HUGE, and I can say I have quicksaved and loaded to shoot the fatman at least 5 times. Im definitely buying 4, and I really hope to see all you fine vault dwellers in the beta and beyond for 76 [link] [comments]
Never understood why FNV fanatics love to call 3&4 Bugthesda. Posted: 22 Jun 2018 05:34 AM PDT Since Fallout New Vegas seems to have more insect creatures than any other Fallout game. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Jun 2018 05:00 AM PDT So last year my girlfriend and I went to Boston for the first time. It didn't really cross my mind that fallout 4 was set in Boston and one of our first tourist activities was to follow the "Freedom Trail", a red brick line in the pavement of the city that takes you round all the big tourist sites in Boston. I spent the first 30/40 minutes following this trail thinking "why is this so familiar" "why do I feel like I've done this before?!". And then I realised I'd walked this route in Fallout! It was such a strange sense of déjà vu! Can recommend both virtual and real Freedom Trails. Edit: corrected to satisfy the needs of the ever present grammar police [link] [comments]
Is there proof that other countries besides the US got nuked? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 01:44 PM PDT It'd be funny if it was revealed that the US was the only country living in an apocalyptic wasteland and all the countries are just chilling and watching the show. [link] [comments]
| Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas now have their soundtracks on Steam. Posted: 22 Jun 2018 10:59 AM PDT They were just released yesterday out of the blue. | Books that are similar to fallout or the wasteland? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 11:50 AM PDT Just thinking I havent read any good books in a while. Would anyone have any good recommendations for something reminiscent of fallout and wasteland? [link] [comments] |
| What is the canonical order of the NV DLCs? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 10:05 AM PDT I have always wondered this, but since the DLCs for New Vegas are canon, is their chronological order based on when the courier decides to do them in a play-through? or is there a factual order that these events with the courier take place? | B.O.M.B.-001 / B.O.M.B.-002 confirmed canon? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 01:14 PM PDT I just watched the Fallout 76 trailer and being a fan of the old fallout games and fascinated by the Van Buren project, I saw something in the trailer that I thought looked similar to the B.O.M.B.-001 / B.O.M.B.-002 from the Van Buren project. The wreckage from the Fallout 76 trailer looks a lot like the illustration from the Van Buren design document. For instance, in the trailer a structure on the top right outside of the wreckage resembles a structure on outside of B.O.M.B.001 on the bottom right of the image from the design document. This looks like more than a coincidence considering the space-esque tubing and other similar pieces. In Van Buren, there were three B.O.M.B. installations. -001 and -002 were in orbit ( at some time, we'll get to this in a monent) and -003 was never completed and its parts were left rotting at the Bloomfield Space Center. According to the Van Buren design document, B.O.M.B.-002 was knocked out of orbit and crashed into the Grand Canyon sometime between 2200 and 2252. Although we have never heard about it since, this has not been disproven and is still possible to fit into the Fallout lore. However, I do not believe that what we see in the trailer is B.O.M.B.-002, rather I believe it is B.O.M.B.-001. It is destroyed, and there's even a quest where S.O.R.-1000 Alpha, a robobrain stationed there wants you to destroy the facility even if he goes down with it. This is supposedly after 2253, which could explain the large amount of junk still present in Fallout 76. TL;DR Structure in FAllout 76 trailer is B.O.M.B-001 from Van Buren and is the source of all the nukes in the wasteland I am curious what you guys think, sorry for any grammar and writing mistakes, english is my third language and I can't be bothered to proof-read for reddit. EDIT I would also like to add that West Virginia in Fallout 76 will "be littered" with nukes. This also adds to this theory, since B.O.M.B.-001 had two missile rooms with "a ton of missiles" These would need to be activated with a code, which is what Bethesda has confirmed will be the case for the nukes in Fallout 76. https://gyazo.com/02515f7c94e7595c5e5d9a2fe0cefe31 https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/e/e3/VB_DD16_loc_B.O.M.B.-001.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100119001601 http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/B.O.M.B.-001_design_document/1#Emotional_Porn http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/B.O.M.B.-001_design_document/1#Map_Flowchart_.26_Layout_for_B.O.M.B.-001_Living_Quarters https://www.pcgamer.com/bethesda-says-fallout-76s-nukes-are-hard-to-get-and-easy-to-avoid/ [link] [comments] |
Unused/Out of Bounds Locations - Bottom Right (Fallout 4) Posted: 22 Jun 2018 01:33 AM PDT Thank you to everyone who did research on this for me. It turns out, all three locations are related to a mod that had severe stability issues and I ended up removing it. Clearly it didn't get entirely removed (since those are still there) but anyway. That solves that problem. So I've got a mod running that adds another companion, and her perk is that she reveals all locations on the map. You can't fast travel, just see what's where, etc. Anyway. At the bottom of the map, to the far right, there are three locations that you have to use god mode and no clip to actually get to. There's no solid ground so if you undo no clip you fall through the world. The Minutemen Traitor Camp, Campsite L, and Pile of Styx (which seems to be a functioning settlement). I'm curious if anyone knows what the deal with these are? Were they going to be something but got axed last second? Future content? Part of a quest that I'm unaware of and don't understand? EDIT - Both Campsite L and Pile of Styx are finished, in their surrounding areas anyway. Campsite L has Mirelurks and some other things around it (they're invincible but not the point). Pile of Styx is a fully operational settlement, with wildlife around it, dead settlers, and doodads everywhere. As well as a note that seems to be part of a mission. The settlement itself is kind of cool because it appears to be made out of the parts of an old airplane. The Minutemen Traitor camp has all hostile Minutemen and looks like the Devs abandoned it half way through working on it. [link] [comments]
I want the Vault-Tec calendar, any help? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 12:51 PM PDT I searched Bethesda's store for a calendar, but sadly, they don't sell any. I want the calendar you see plastered around in Fallout 4, link to screenshot I took in game. So I figured I'd try to print one myself, but I need something better than a screenshot from in game. There is also the problem with fixing the dates, weekdays, year, etc. I want it to be for use for 2019. I'm no good with photoshop. Anyone got any ideas? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Jun 2018 09:17 AM PDT I decided to buy Fallout 4 just for kicks because I had never played, but it came with a free DL copy of Fallout 3! So now I'm balls deep in 3. Then I buy New Vegas because my lizard brain needs to do things chronologically. I'm absolutely blown away by how beautiful this game is. TLDR: Bought Fallout 4 and probably won't even play it for another 2 months [link] [comments]

Fallout 3 has completely changed my playstyle and I love it. Posted: 22 Jun 2018 03:04 AM PDT I'm actually crawling around the wasteland, listening to GNR, being stealthy, and making use of a sniper rifle to get sneak attack critical. When I first played a Fallout game, New Vegas, I was expecting it to play like Fallout 3, as some old footage from 3 was my only experience with Fallout at the time. It's really suprisingly fun. The music fits so well, and I really like the damage resistance system. Because I'm such a glass minigun, even taking small amounts of damage can be brutal, so I'm using stealth for something other then stealing, unlike in New Vegas. [link] [comments]
