Welcome to /r/PUBATTLEGROUNDS' Sunday Dinner, where we all sit around the table and share our delicious chicken. Whether it is your very first or 100th chicken dinner, everyone is welcome! With the creation of this megathread we will now begin limiting these posts during the week, so be sure to save em up and submit any and all of them here every Sunday.

Here are the rules for this thread:

  • Videos & Images only - no gifs.
  • Videos must be no more than 5 minutes, minimally edited, and contain the victory screen at the end.

Fix PUBG suggestion: cutting wait/idle time between matches

If you add up matchmaking time, lobby wait time, loading screen time, plane time, and parachute time, it can be anywhere between 2 to 5 minutes of wait time between your last death and when your feet land on the ground again, that means that you waste 20-50 minutes waiting for every 10 games.

Here are suggestions for battling this issue:

  1. Lobby wait time - you cannot reduce this but you can make it useful, either turn it into deathmatch like the game IoN or put a shooting range, or allow people to manage their cosmetics and buy crates as they're waiting.
  2. Plane and parachute time - increase the plane speed by 1.5x and perhaps the parachute speed as well
  3. Allow people to matchmake from the death results screen instead of returning to home screen

I am really getting fucked off at this, so trying to see if anyone has any suggestions on getting the weapons to load in faster.

Land at bootcamp on the roof, run around like a twat for 30 seconds in the hopes that a weapon will magically appear for me.

I've moved PUBG to my SSD (Samsung Evo M.2) but it just doesn't seem to make any difference.

Running with view distance set to Ultra, Textures Ultra, AA Ultra rest is very low.

In lobby, characters stay bugged like this, they dont move at all, and as soon as game starts, my game crashes and i get Send/Dont send error... anyone knows a solution ? i tried reinstalling the game totally and setting everything back to default

It bothers me there is no road plan to optimize sound. As a sound designer a few things regarding how sound works in PUBG really bothers me.

- In crowded places there is a lot phase-cancelation ( Phase cancellation occurs when two signals of the same frequency are out of** phas**e with each other resulting in a net reduction in the overall level of the combined signal. ) going on. In a situation that there are 3 people around you, you might only hear 1 or 2.

There are many things a sound engineer can do to solve this issue. I mean people who mix (music) as a hobby know how to fix this. for example a slight delay in ms can solve this.

- The distant of sound is really off. you never know if one is close, or far.

For many these are probably minor issues but for someone who is more focused on sound this can be really annoying.

Greene mentioned many times PUBG works with different teams, that focusses on different part of the game. where is the sounddesigner?

Loading time significantly increased since last update help needed

So since the last big update on the live servers I have started loading in the lobby with about 30 seconds left, and on my first game today I loaded in during the plane.

Before that update I used to load in with the timer having not even started.

In your opinion is this because of the update or could I have a problem with my SSD?

Tips for improving in CQC?

I find myself doing well enough in long to mid range battles, but in close quarters I really suck, leading my to never win a chicken dinner and ending up second place.

I usually have very bad sprays, freak out and shoot all over the place. I do okay with a S868 or Vector in CQC, but not always though.

Any tips?
