ESO + Morrowind is now available for $8. STOP ASKING IF IT'S WORTH IT AND BUY THE DAMN GAME!

My Girlfriend tells me about her opening moments in ESO, I couldn't stop laughing.

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 01:22 AM PDT

So. My girlfriend decided to try Elder Scrolls Online last night. It went on sale and I've been playing it. This was her first experience in her words, as best as I can remember.

So I started on a boat, I didn't want to be on the boat. There was a letter in front of me, I was told I needed to read the letter. I didn't want to read the letter either but I read it.

'you're on your way to Varhgylblargl' it said, I didn't want to go there either. Then we were ship wrecked and someone comes to me and goes 'you're a slave now' I was like, urgggg.

So I'm in this cage and someone else wants to talk to me, but I didn't want to talk to her so I read a book instead. She was still there so I talked to her, she said,

'We're going to escape and you're going to do all the work'

So we escaped and this place is ugly, mushrooms and insects everywhere. It was really creepy because no one was around so I went into all the houses. I found some soup, so I stole it. Not the bowl, just the soup... I'm now carrying soup.

End.

ZOS pls, bring back the coldharbour tutorial straight out of character creation

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 09:23 PM PDT

I didn't get to play ESO until I bought it with Morrowind a while back, and I was dismayed that I had no choice but to go through vvardenfell first and learned that I have no choice in that. A simple "new character start in [vanilla/Morrowind/summerset/etc]" option during the creation process or in the character select screen would be a great quality of life addition for weirdos like me who just crave that "vanilla ESO experience" and the smallest modicum of choice in how my character's story plays out. Anyone else in my boots here?

Normal Trials Queue

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 04:23 PM PDT

At this point, it feels to me that the biggest roadblock for players when obtaining trials gear and enjoying trials themselves is the fact that PUGing from zone chat is AWFUL. It takes too long and players are scattered throughout the many popular zones. Guild chat makes this a bit better, but it doesn't entirely fix the problem.

Accessing the content that typically gives the most rewarding gameplay and gear in the game should not be this difficult. We bought and paid for Summerset, but many people are stuck looking for Cloudrest groups (or god forbid...assembling one...) in chat. It's frustrating, and makes it difficult for newer players to branch out their game experience as well.

Why hasn't there been a trials queue added yet? Normal trials are certainly easy enough to PUG with assigned members.

Question about the level system

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 01:27 AM PDT

Maybe this sounds dumb, but I couldn't find any info anywhere about the exact mechanics of the one tamriel level system. I noticed that your gear seems to get lower stats as you level up, but does that go for all other stats as well? So say if I never put any points in stamina, will my stamina skills get weaker?

[PC] Have the base game on Steam, and Steam won't let you buy ESO + Morrowind for $10? Solution!

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 05:49 PM PDT

I just watched my boyfriend do this with his account. Steam would not let him buy the game on sale for himself, said he already had it. He also logged into TESO's website and it told him he wasn't eligible.

What he did to get it to work was:
* removed ESO from Steam library (don't uninstall)
* repurchase the $10 sale version (ESO + Morrowind)
* re-open it and it should be seamlessly upgraded and linked to your ESO account still (characters, crowns, trial sub, etc) are all there

I hope this helps someone, cause we spent 2 days trying to figure out a way to do this.

Maelstrom / Master 1h for Singletarget dps?

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 02:29 AM PDT

Heyo, I can't seem to find a good answer to this question

What would deal the most damage in a single target only dps fight between 2x Maelstrom 1h or 2x Masters?

Also, since Maelstrom is "your next single target dot" that can also be applied to Poison Injection for instance right?

Just bought it!

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 03:59 AM PDT

So, I tried playing it when the game came out. I've never played an MMO before and I was so overwhelmed and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

Any beginner tips you have for me while the game downloads? Or at least anything happening within the community I should be aware of? Literally anything I should know before going in lmao

See y'all sometime next week (once this game is finished downloading).

I have ESO : Tamriel Unlimited, is Morrowind seperate

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 03:25 AM PDT

Hey guys, i read something about the Stand alone ESO being on sale on steam and it containing the Morrowind expansion, i was hoping to get back into ESO (ive only played a few hours previously so its like a fresh game to me)

Im just trying to work out the cheapest way to get the FULL game.

I have ESO: Tamriel unlimited (Non-Steam Version) and have had it for years, however i cant see whether i had any expansions along with that or whether it was just the stand alone version. For the sake of buying morrowind on its own i may aswell buy the Steam version of ESO which comes with morrowind (If my Tarmiel unlimited version doesn't already contain it)

Looking to buy the game but aren't sure? Ask your questions here!

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 04:05 PM PDT

I for one definitely like to know what I'm buying and in an mmo like this definitely would like to know how the community acts towards each other and newcomers especially, which is something you can't find out by just looking at how many people are subbed and isn't easily available to find in reviews. Post your questions here and we'll try and answer them. Everyone who already has the game leave a comment telling us some of your favorite, or not so favorite, things. thanks!

Jewelry Skill Level Book Locations?

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 03:14 PM PDT

I've been avoiding bookcases on my crafter since drop but as I'm nearing 45, I'd like to nail down exactly where to find all the skill level books. I recall seeing a similar post before console access dropped and I've been unable to find it since.

Any specific, informed assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Account Help

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 01:18 AM PDT

So I bought ESO couple months ago when it came up on a steam sale. Mostly for my wife to play as she enjoyed really enjoyed Skyrim. So I've bought it originally through my Steam account, yet the ESO account we created is hers (her email and choice of username ect).

Fast forward to today. We saw the sale and decided to buy a second copy so that we could play together as we both have a character each on her ESO account. Now what I was to know is if I create an ESO account and download the game straight from the ESO site with our new key, can we also just download the game onto her laptop and use her existing account, and the key originally purchased through Steam, and launch it direct, with out her having to have my steam account and steam running on her machine.

We realise new characters would have to be started cause we can't transfer one or the other across accounts.

Tri-stat or single stats

Posted: 12 Jun 2018 01:10 AM PDT

I'm a healer, and want to know what I should pick for my armor, jewelry, and food. On one hand, I get more health and stamina as well as magicka which allows me to dodge and survive more. On the other, the single stats boost is huge(in this case, magicka).

[PC] Considering redownloading the game. Is it 85GB of space for the base game and all expansions?

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 10:50 PM PDT

Just wondering, can't find a clear answer anywhere. I wanted to throw it on an SSD but I also have a SSHD I could put it on if I didn't have the space on the SSD.

New arena in murkmire and more!

Posted: 11 Jun 2018 05:18 AM PDT

So I found this article at bethesda.net witch talks about some stuff we didn't hear at be3. As for an example it states that we will get a new arena in murkmire. There's also some awesome pictures of zombie argonians and hircine etc. Here's the article, I posted this because I thought the article was a little hidden away.
