| Multiplayer is fucking impossible to get going Posted: 10 Jun 2018 03:49 PM PDT I've been trying to host a game for hours. Every single game that I got going, somebody quits within the first 50 turns. Then another person quits. Eventually everyone is gone. Nobody is serious. All I want to do is play a full game of civ 5. It's just not possible. [link] [comments] | ||
| [C6] Are factories in every city important? Posted: 10 Jun 2018 03:26 PM PDT I figured that if you had a factory in every city, you'd have the +3 basic bonus from the factory and the AoE effect from ONE other city (not all) or are they the same bonus and you only get one? i.e. If a center city can reach all your other cities, only build a factory THERE and no where else, except for maybe Japan? | suggestion:a space race scenario Posted: 10 Jun 2018 05:14 PM PDT what about a mod that you manage the US or the Soviet Union to win the space race with the help of powerful bonuses and your allies? [link] [comments] | ||

| Civ VI - Playing above King, htf? Posted: 10 Jun 2018 03:50 PM PDT So I've played a lot of Civ V, played a lot of Civ VI - usually playing on King with a few AI players and a few human players. It got a bit stale, we'd win far too easily by Science or Culture, only occasionally being out-religioned. I've recently tried playing solo on Emperor and get annihilated every time - the AI just seem a hundred steps ahead of me no matter what Civ I play. Do I just suck at the game or am I missing something? Tips on playing above King? [link] [comments] | ||

| Just started CIV 6 and have some issues Posted: 10 Jun 2018 12:28 PM PDT Hey, long time civ player here. I kept playing CIV5 until now and recently decided to also try CIV 6 Rise and Fall. All good except I am now on my 4th game and loosing badly from the first era. I tried to play a Marathon game which ended extremely badly and now I am trying standard everything which also seems to be ending badly. Restarted several times too. As for difficulty, on civ 5 I am able to play on king or emperor and with specific civs / settings I can also win immortal (never managed deity though). On civ 6 I am playing on prince right now and I seriously lag behind AI on absolutely all fronts. In my current save, playing with the Dutch on turn 69, I am 7th on science, 7th on culture, 9th on religion and 3rd on domination and almost didn't make it out of a dark age. As soon as I get to 5th on domination I definitely get war thrown at me. As of now the first two spots on domination already declared war so I have to keep my army up to date. What changed so drastically from civ 5? Why I am lagging behind so much? I noticed the AI is building cities way more than it used to happen in civ 5, is now creating a bunch of cities a viable option or a requirement? Should I rush something early game? I feel I am missing something very important that makes me unable to compete with the AI on prince... [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 10 Jun 2018 06:20 PM PDT I am a beginner in Civ 6. I have a good understanding of everything in the game but I need some help for when starting out and progressing onwards. I mostly like playing towards culture and science victories as I find the other forms laborious and not as interesting. I would appreciate any tips you have to become a better player and win my first game. Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 10 Jun 2018 10:32 AM PDT I'm really hoping someone can help because I have read numerous posts about this but can not find the UI information people point out in this post: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/58r8ra/psa_how_to_fix_edge_scrolling_in_civilization_vi/ My container ID does not say TopScreenEdge, it says something along the lines of BugFix. When I load the game at 1440p on a 4k monitor I can not scroll down or to the right/east. Is my only option to map scroll to WASD? I would REALLY prefer to use the mouse to scroll. Please send help as I've just uninstalled the game and am waiting for it to reinstall. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 10 Jun 2018 04:14 PM PDT Are there any maps you guys like to play as the Incas? There bonus is nice but their hill bias is hard to find multiple hills or mountaind without numerous rerolls and it's kinda annoying. Also don't want to use map editor it just feel like cheating [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 10 Jun 2018 03:49 PM PDT Vanilla Civ VI, with some mods loaded. Anytime I try to create a new game, I get this error. Says there may be a problem with a mod. I have tried every fix I can find on Google, including disabling all mods. Still get the same error. [link] [comments] |
