I'm annoyed that Blizzard underdeveloped the 'Army of the Light'. For a army 'made up of denizens from across the universe who fought against the Legion', it is 99% Draenei, and there's one human, one high elf, and one dreadlord

That's murloc for "Welcome to Murloc Mondays - where people can ask any type of question about WoW without getting Strangles by a Death Knight.
Questions can range from whats new in Legion, what class is OP, and how many Demons will it take to down Thrall?
Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question.

The Army of the Light could have had sooooo much potential. Xera in her first communication to the PC says: "From the ashes of those ravaged worlds, survivors arose to stand against the demons. They became known as the Army of the Light". The Army of the Light's reputation text says: "The Army of the Light is a faction of enlightened races that the naaru said would one day combat the ravages of the Burning Legion".

Where are these races?

Even the Legion Argus invasions started with the pitch of going to other worlds being ravaged by the Legion to save life. Here I was thinking we would get to see other races, save civilians, find alien cities, but all we get are sandbox areas, and the 'life' is just random creatures. Why is the Legion attacking this in the first place, you'd think they'd target races with more sentience rather than just some random plant life!

Nope, there is actually no life left, it's just all Draenei. Blizzard could have half assed it and made like 2 unique NPC models to even HINT at new races that are part of the army, or mention in lore that there are more races but they are off fighting other battles. Nope not even that.

In every lore about the Army of the Light after the initial pitches, from the audio dramas, quest texts, books, and others there is no statement whatsoever that there is any race other than Draenei in the AoL. Even going forward in the lore, the Army of the Light will be nothing more than 99% Draenei and there will be no hint of the 'survivors of other ravaged worlds' or 'collection of races' that the first quest text hinted that.

It's like learning about the Guardians of the Galaxy, the space faring superheroes, each being a unique race, and then they all turn out to be all humans. What a let down.
