Aaaaaughibbrgubugbugrguburgle! RwlRwlRwlRwl!
That's murloc for "Welcome to Murloc Mondays - where people can ask any type of question about WoW without getting Strangles by a Death Knight.
Questions can range from whats new in Legion, what class is OP, and how many Demons will it take to down Thrall?
Questions can come from brand new players, players returning, or veteran players who never got a chance to ask the right question.

You may want to look at /r/wownoob as well!

The mount we got for doing the free for all pvp wqs 20 times is awesome, can we please get a new one for BfA? I would really like to have another recolor of a vicious mount that is easy to obtain and doesn't require doing rated PvP.

NPCs reacting to the player

Posted: 27 May 2018 09:23 PM PDT

I posted this idea in the BfA Beta General Discussion on the forums and it got some quick traction there so I felt like I should put it here as well and see what you all think.

I'm thinking people need some closure as they see people they had previously fought alongside with in Legion be on the opposite side of the battle line in BfA. Preferably added in the first or second patch.

Examples:

  • Liadrin to Alliance Paladin Player:

"It pains me that we have to meet under these circumstances Highlord. But you should know already that my loyalty to Quel'thalas supercedes everything else and I will strike you down if it means protecting my home."

  • Turalyon to Horde Player:

"Hold <name>, I wish to speak. I saw you fight valiantly on Argus. The Light shines brightly within you. If you renounce your loyalty to the Horde I will spare you."

<"For the Horde.">

"So be it, I will grant you a swift death."

  • Thalyssra to Alliance Player:

"<name> I will never forget how you helped me liberate my people and I am forever grateful. But my people needed allies who shared our values and convictions and we found that within the Horde. If you stand against the Horde you stand against me. I'm sorry."

  • Geya'rah to Alliance Player:

"Wait, I've heard of you. My father told me stories about you and how ferociously you fought to help liberate Draenor. It will be a great honor to face you on the field of battle!"

Just general stuff like that. I think it will spice up the story a little and shut up a few people who won't stop whining about how they've been "stabbed in the back".

This is the best title ever. Sad that it's temporary...

I just realized my ingame char is now older than some kids playing this game :O

Posted: 27 May 2018 11:39 PM PDT

Crazy how time goes by...

I just realized that my Warri I created 2005 is now more than 13 years old and therefore older as some 12 year old kids who play this game.

This just gave me an "whoa" Moment :D

I had several wow breaks during the last years (skipped MOP and WOD) but it is amazing how this game lives for so long and how it still hooks me :)

Did my first raid ever yesterday. What a thrill!

Posted: 27 May 2018 10:49 PM PDT

I know you guys probably see posts like these all the time but I wanted to share the experience I had for my first raid ever! So a little bit of background I first started playing back in 2015, made a Pandaren Monk, leveled to 60 and just kinda stopped after that. Started playing again recently and I hit 110 a couple of days ago. Yesterday I wanted to do LFR Emerald Dream but I hadn't enough ilvlv for it, felt pretty bummed. Kinda randomly then I took the quest from Vormu to complete Ulduar timewalking. Ulduar it was then, tried queuing solo but it wouldn't let me but I found a group running it so I joined. A little bit of wait to complete the group and my excitement was growing. I had absolutely no idea what I got myself into and I started reading a guide on wowhead: I thought at the moment: "wow do we have to kill all those bosses?" Indeed we did but we had a great raid leader who explained everything before each boss and the more it went on, the more I got comfortable. We wiped a couple of times, mostly on Hodir and on Mirmiron. People left regularly because it was taking so long so we had to take breaks a couple of times to recruit new people. We reached Yogg and the real fun began: we kept wiping and wiping because we had some people touching the green smoke or some people who didn't understand how the portals worked and so on. We had to fill the group 2 additional times during this because it was taking so long. One try we got to 3% before wiping but we could feel it: next try we had him! Regroup again and go: the first phases are nearly flawless, nobody touching the smoke, nobody missing the portals, nobody dying, and then there we were: the last phase. Not sure what happened but we got him down to like 5% and more and more people were dying. 3%, only 10 people left. 2%, 7 people, 1%, 4 people left. I was sure we would wipe but in the end we got him! What an amazing moment that was. I thought before starting that it would be more like a dungeon but boy was I wrong. We started at 17h30 and completed it at 23h18 but it was worth it in the end. Just wanted to share the great experience I had for my first raid, sorry for the rant I'm just really excited!

Could we get this, just to make learning a new spec a little bit quicker?

Posted: 28 May 2018 01:59 AM PDT

They should make a proving ground for trying out different specs.

Posted: 28 May 2018 08:10 AM PDT

I decided to level a Nightborne for the heritage armor and I chose a fire mage even tho my main is an arcane mage. I was planning on switching to fire in BfA.

I've never played fire, and had no idea how it worked so I figured the best practice would be leveling from scratch.

Which made me think, a small proving grounds style scenario where you start with the "level 1" spells, and after each wave or two you gain the next spell you would have gained if you leveled up normally.

It would teach you how to integrate a spell into your rotation if they were introduced to you slowly instead of all at once.

The "trial" we get when we are picking a class is very limited and doesn't really give you much of a taste of every spec.

The only BFA change I really want for my rogue

Posted: 28 May 2018 07:50 AM PDT

Finally being able to use the Barman Shanker transmog for my daggers.

Brings back so many memories from classic wow, from farming it with another rogue friend to ganking parties on their way to dungeons.

It is without a doubt one of the most iconic classic rogue weapons and it's honestly a real shame that it's still not moggable.
