After reading comments from the Waluigi post, I see that it would be in everyone's interest that we discuss multiple characters from a Gaming Series rather than talk about characters individually. This allows for more diverse conversations, discuss multiple characters per week and prevent repeated statements from happening as often.

| Appreciation Thread for Armada Posted: 07 May 2018 08:27 AM PDT Legit this man saved Melee by knocking Thanos out in Losers. And he put on a show for us in Grand Finals. Plus look at this sportsmanship: https://twitter.com/ArmadaUGS/status/993355888307007488 This man puts in a ton of work into the game, and even if I didn't like him that much when I first started watching competitive melee in 2014, he's grown on me as one of the most kindest and humblest people on the planet. And he's a beast at the game (truly the GOAT). Essentially the Roger Federer of our community. | Posted: 07 May 2018 12:31 PM PDT I was thinking about posting one this morning, but I hate posting because I always overthink it. Then I saw the one posted a few hours ago for Armada and figured I'd sack up. Here's what I've been thinking about - Hbox came in to Smash Summit 6 as the undisputed #1 ranked player, #1 seed, and most people's pick to win the tourny, even though most people didn't want him to. Over the course of the tournament, he was cheered against in every single game, had an uncharacteristic loss to a player outside the top 6 (Amsa is a LEGEND), and waged war through losers bracket until getting stopped in a match-up he has been unbeatable in for the last 6-7 months. He placed 4th for the first time in god knows how long, I'm not a stats guy. Unquestionably, it was a bad tournament for Hbox. And in that final match, in the moments right when it's over, Armada's pop off was awesome and very well-deserved, sure. Hell, I loved it. But the look on HBox's face stuck with me more. At first I didn't get why he was still sitting in the chair for so long, but then I realized how tough that loss must have been for him, with everything (what I outlined above) in context. Obviously it always sucks to lose, but this one had to sting. No one would have been surprised to see him unhappy and salty as hell afterward, posting Fox-Puff johns on Twitter or doing some finger guns to pantomime lasering. What actually happened was that he gave Armada huge props on Twitter, a couple fist bumps too, and cheered for M2K just like us fans. He even brought our king the sacred oreo + milk combo. So I wanted to give the guy a shout-out, because I, for one, appreciated the attitude and composure he displayed. Thanks Hungrybox. [link] [comments]  | ||

(Feedback Thread) Posted: 07 May 2018 11:35 AM PDT I really appreciate all of the sentiments expressed towards the music throughout the event! Also give a big shoutout to the BTS content team for being so open minded and easy to work with, they were also pretty hands on with the process.
