| Bronze/Silver is full of Ken players that spam H.Tatsu Posted: 08 May 2018 04:40 AM PDT I know it shouldn't work. I block it pretty much every time they just throw it out, followed with a grab. But the thing with these players is that...you just can't read them. Sometimes they'll legit just wake up super. And my puny bronze brain just isn't ready for some nutty Ken player to do nothing but Heavy Tatsu, anti-air and supers the whole match. I know some bread and butter combos, I know the basics of neutral, etc. But it feels like all the shit I've tried practicing and studying gets thrown out of the window when people play like this. And the most frustrating thing of it all is that I know I'm losing because I'm just not experienced enough to deal with it. [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| So why is there no EX fireball for Falke? Posted: 08 May 2018 09:10 AM PDT It feels like a void in the character. It would open up her playstyle so much to be able to spend bar like this. It feels like they took her EX fireball and locked it behind V-trigger 1. Really weird character design. [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Can someone explain Psycho Crusher to me (VT2)? Posted: 08 May 2018 08:01 AM PDT I know there's a setup where M.Bison can make it cross up off of Psycho Inferno. How does that work? Is there any other way that it can cross up just by doing it raw? Like is there a distance where the second hit will cross up? Or am I always safe if the first hit is blocked? Is there any easy way to tell who is going to be at frame advantage if I block one? Is there any tech you can use against M.Bison to help stop a mixup or punish him when you know he's going to Psycho Crusher from across the screen? | Problem X and the implications. Posted: 07 May 2018 05:30 PM PDT I think Problem X did very well and put the spotlight on what is possible with Bison. His biggest weaknesses are bad anti-air and bad defense, but the positives of the character seem to be strong enough to make up for that judging from Problem X's performance. Bison has had difficulty against characters like Cammy recently, because his anti-air is so lacking after the 3.5 nerfs and he does not have a form of dragon punch. Problem X seems to have a solution for that however, just block. He mostly did not even attempt to anti-air against Cammy, he just chose to block it out each time and as soon as it was his turn he went for it. He only needed to get a knockdown and was able to close out matches reliably thereafter. We also saw some very nice pressure sequences against Guile involving EX fireball and psycho crusher to get through the booms and into a hit or at least a nice + situation. Is Bison higher tier than we thought? Should more people be switching to Bison at this point? Or was it just the strength of Problem X making it work? | Posted: 08 May 2018 09:48 AM PDT Is the matchmaking system cross-platform? I'm thinking about getting a fighting game, used to play a lot of Guilty Gear, but this time I want something with populated multiplayer. [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Posted: 08 May 2018 09:42 AM PDT I know theres plenty of these around, but just wanted to point out 3 characters on current Capcom product lines not currently in SFV: Honda - only OG character not in. Appears in the new mini pop line. Dan - pop character out. some data mining last year guessed there was a mini game of some sort to do with him. rose - cover of anny collection. anything i missed? decapre is already rendered in the game, so im sure shes a lock at some point too. | To those who have a Hori RAP 4? Posted: 08 May 2018 05:52 AM PDT I just bought a custom art and plexi and am wondering if the stock buttons will fit with the new holes just fine? | What's on the physical AE Disc? Posted: 08 May 2018 05:13 AM PDT So I was thinking of getting a physical copy of AE cause I always like having the most up to date physical copy of a fighting game. Did some reading and people are saying that AE is actually not on the disc and it's just SFV 1.00. Now I know there can be a lot of confusion since every time a PSN/Steam update gets released, it's the whole game but I wanted to know if SFV 3.000 is actually physically on the disc. Thanks much. | N00b questions about SF 30th Anniversary Collection Posted: 08 May 2018 02:58 AM PDT Greetings, I am pretty much a total noob to the SF series, I loved SF II when I was really young, but really haven't played a Street Fighter since. I've played Halo competitively for years, but am really wanting to get into fighting games. The only Fighter I've ever played semi-competitively was SSBM. I just preordered SF 30th Anniversary Collection and hoping to get really into it. I'm curious to know which of the 4 games in the collection with online play will be the most popular? I have been looking online and it seems that 3rd Strike is considered to be one of the most competitive titles. Thanks so much! If you have any other insight or advice for a newbie diving into the series let me know! [link] [comments] | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
