| [Idea] You should get coins for defeating as well as holding gyms. Posted: 26 May 2018 08:18 AM PDT I think there needs to be a rework with the coin system in gyms. As someone who doesn't spend real money on coins, it's frustrating to always feel like i'm running low. My idea is that for every gym you take down, you get 5 coins with a max of 50 per day on top of a max of 50 per day for defending gyms for a total cap of 100 coins per day. The fact that you get little to nothing for defeating a gym sucks imo. Sure, you can make it to gold, but that's essentially it because pokemon don't benefit from battling either. So, for example, if I battle 3 gyms per day, insert 3 defenders, and they're all kicked out after an hour, I get 18 coins. But if I could earn by battling I would have gotten 33 coins. This type of reward makes far more sense to me for going through the effort of battling and defeating 3 gyms even if my pokemon are kicked out shortly after. I'm sure something similar has been posted before but honestly I'm tired of the 50 coin per day cap only earned through defending. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 26 May 2018 08:27 AM PDT My GF and I got scolded by a player today because we take arenas. He called us by our usernames and told us that he sometimes get pissed off by us taking arenas and tracks us in the whole city to kick us out of arenas. He kinda threatened us saying that he wasn't the worst and we were making a lot of people angry. We also get pissed off by other players but that's the game. We don't want to integrate in his community that seems to have created their own local rules (RPG guild cliché much?), we are just casual players that found something to do while enjoying walks. We're thinking about leaving PokemonGo since we lost our anonymity and we feel like we are now targets. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 26 May 2018 05:55 PM PDT So, I know that Pokemon of certain generations will become harder and harder to find as more generations are added, and to remedy that, I thought of this. There would be a different kind of incense for every region (i.e. Kanto Incense, Johto Incense, etc.) that you could get from the shop or some quests. What these incense would do is ONLY attract Pokemon of that specific region to you. Other than that, it would work as a regular incense. I'm not sure if anyone has suggested this on this subreddit before, but if so... Oh well. [link] [comments] | ||
| What to do when a spoofer sits next to you? Posted: 26 May 2018 07:47 AM PDT So, I'm originally from a pretty small town and had to head back this morning for a car appointment and a hair cut from my cousin who still lives there. In between, I drove around to the local gyms to turn them yellow and cash in on some research. I think I took five gyms and got a shiny Kabuto. Not bad. Waiting for my haircut, my cousin texts me to say the guy next to me is a jerk. Lol, whatevs, I'll just ignore him. So I take a peak over and see he is playing Pokemon Go as well. Went to make conversation and notice he is spinning discs and raiding.. there is nothing near us. Then I see the d-pad on his screen. Makes sense why nearly all of my Pokemon came back to me immediately. Should I ask his username and report him? How does that even work? [link] [comments] | ||
| Does anyone else take advantage of other people while they’re sleeping? Posted: 26 May 2018 08:39 AM PDT It's not what you think, I'm talking about destroying my city center's gyms. All pretty much full capacity Team Mystic or Instinct, I spent about 3 hours taking out these gyms solo for Team Valor. Made the rounds with a couple lucky eggs going for around 400,000 xp, and I only had a few incidents of people dropping berries while I was fighting, I just stopped that gym and went to the next to give them time to leave. Brought my dog and made a night of it! Anyone else go on missions like this? [link] [comments] | ||
| Remember when people were excited for Aggron? Posted: 26 May 2018 09:10 AM PDT Almost every time I see one of these in a raid battle that I'm in, I know I am going to do well with damage because so many players go based off what is recommended and do not put in optimal counters. It's so slow with attacking. Whenever I see it in a raid with me, I think back to when people had to put in Blissey or Snorlax just to hold out before Niantic fixed the damage ball glitch from fainting which obviously is no longer an issue anymore. As a defender, it gets absolutely demolished by Machamp and other fighters. You literally can't get a shiny from it in raids. As someone not very very familiar with gen 3, people were going on and on about how good of a Poke Aggron would be and it just seems to be one of the biggest go away mon I have seen in PoGo to this point. | Posted: 26 May 2018 08:18 PM PDT Berries have been a staple in the Pokémon games, with different varieties serving different functions. Pokémon Go is no different, with Razz, Pinap, and Nanab berries used to help in catching Pokémon. While each of these individual berries provide great benefits, there are times where you wish you had the effects of two berries at once. Here's my proposal; Lum and Sitrus berries. If they are introduced, they should automatically replace Golden Razz berries. Sitrus berries in the main Pokémon games restore 25% of a Pokémon's HP. If it is introduced to Pokémon Go, I think it could have 3 uses. When catching Pokémon, it'll act like a Gold Razz berry in making the Pokémon easier to catch. When using it at a Gym, refill a Pokémon's motivation to max. Lastly, it could also be used to recover a Pokémon's HP as an alternative to potions. Lum berries in the main Pokémon games cure any and all status ailments. In Pokémon Go, I think Lum berries can be used to have all 3 effects of the Razz, Nanab, and Pinap berries when catching Pokémon. If used at a Gym, it'll restore 1/2 of a Pokémon's max motivation. What are your thoughts? Should PoGo introduce new types of Berries? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 26 May 2018 09:32 PM PDT Spent the first hour and a half playing Destiny 2 Iron Banner and getting angry before heading out for five hours of hunting. I got to see neighborhoods I've never been to. I wandered through block parties, got bubble tea, saw parks and views I've never seen. Ended up at City Hall park which was so nice. Content with 1.25 million XP in a single afternoon, I played with some real trainers and caught a shiny Ho-oh, my favorite Pokemon ever. Honestly, I just love this game so much and I think Adventure week's mechanic which pushed me to wander has been just genius. Hope you're all enjoying this long weekend (or normal weekend for the non-US folks!). [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 26 May 2018 11:08 AM PDT I'm leaning more towards evolving my shiny because I've seen that Altarias aren't that great but if a perfect one can be a decent addition to my team then I wouldn't mind waiting for another 400 candies to evolve my shiny. So I guess I just want to know if Altarias are useless or not haha. Edit/update: Thanks for all the feedback, everyone. I guess I'm just going to hold off until I get 800 candies just in case evolving a swablu becomes a research task. But if I get too impatient I am just going to evolve the shiny. Thanks again everyone! [link] [comments] | ||

| EndGame: Added Unlockable Pokédex Entries and Criteria based New Moves. “Pokémon Masteries” Posted: 26 May 2018 05:57 PM PDT Hello all, I'm sure we're all familiar with the Pokédex. Many of us are nearing or at lvl 40 and it's clear the name of the game as of now is "catching em all". That being said, Why not introduce exclusive Pokédex entries. It works like this: Charmander has his normal Pokédex Entry. But as you catch more charmander of a specific criteria via field research missions or simply by size (XS/XS and XL/XL variations) a count goes up to track it on the Pokédex. As you fill the criteria you get closer and closer to more details related to your Pokémon. It can be small fun facts related to the lore of the Pokémon. Over time each version caught of the Pokémon: Large Pokémon status: 4 or 10 caught Small Pokémon status: 10 of 10 caught ⭐️ Medium Pokémon: 0 of 10 caught Unlock more specific lore about the Pokémon and even give its border a flashy gold coloring to let you know you've "mastered" it. Call it Pokémon mastery! And eventually even a special move for that Pokémon can be taught via TM (assuming you are currently a Gold member of that Pokémon's Type). A nice bonus would be that the Pokédex entry could even play the entry in full audio when all entry types of that Pokémon are fully completed (a nod to the classic Pokédex and even the new). This could even be a purchasable feature introduced one by one via community day so that coding isn't overwhelmed. Why not add the voice Pokédex entry as you look at your shiny on community day. Let the Pokédex read it out loud so even kids can learn more about them. This would give players something else to hunt for during community days as an extra bonus. I could easily see people searching for the last part of Blastoise lore hunting squirtles. Or trying to piece together large magikarp (which is already tracked in game along with Rattata) to learn a new exclusively learned Move (so rewarding). But the best would be having your Pokémon's border shining in a holographic style themed or golden border themed outline, signifying that you've completed a mastery. Earn all from a region and become a Regional Master. Earn 10 fire mastery types and become a fire type master. Earn 10 mastery poison types and become poison type master. Etc... Eventually these masters could dictate, via gym gold badge and achievements, what terrain Pokémon gyms have on the actual field (which is another effect in addition to weather). | Posted: 26 May 2018 05:14 PM PDT Just spent nearly three hours walking along a strip of nearly 30 pokestops and came away with a whopping 17 potions. 6 Super potions and 11 Regular potions. It has felt like the potions have been reduced as of late, but that is sort of the point of being unplayable at that rate. [link] [comments] | ||
| Nearly impossible research task with Charmander? Posted: 26 May 2018 12:50 PM PDT I got a research task a few weeks ago during a community day with increased Charmander spawn. Now I have a research task to catch 3 Charmander. I don't live in a huge city and never see any, is there any way to reset research tasks? Or am I stuck with an impossible task? Thanks guys! | Pokemon Go stuck in login screen on iPhone Posted: 26 May 2018 10:30 AM PDT Hey! I'm having an issue when trying to login into the game. After I select my gmail account the screen gets stuck with the wheel spinning endlessly. No message just the wheel spinning. I've tried uninstalling and installing the game back, restarting my phone and cleaning the Safari cache but nothing worked. Did anybody else have this problem? How did you fix it? Please help! I'm playing with an iPhone 6 over iOS 10.3.3. [link] [comments] | ||
| [question] Pokémon and Poke'stop limits. Posted: 26 May 2018 05:58 PM PDT Are there limits for both? I was playing at Santa Monica all day today and noticed I can't spin stops anymore, it just says try again later even if the disc is blue. My go+ burned all my regular Poke'balls before I saw it wasn't spinning stops anymore. [link] [comments] | ||
| Freshly caught 'mon has 5 victories? Posted: 26 May 2018 09:07 PM PDT Caught an Omanyte and evolved to an Omastar last night. Used it to fight a gym earlier and it said it had 5 victories already before ever being used. [link] [comments] | ||
| Is it worth it to start playing again? Posted: 26 May 2018 02:57 PM PDT I played this for a few months when it came out back in 2016 and had a blast. My phone ended up getting stolen and when I got a new phone I never re-installed it. Is it worth it starting a new game? I feel like at this point 2 years after the game has been released, all the gyms will be conquered by overpowered Pokemon and that it wouldn't even be fair for me to try and compete. | [question] Pokémon Go won't let me login to my acct Posted: 26 May 2018 08:36 PM PDT I have tried every tip and trick I can find on Google. I have an iPhone 7 and log in using my Google acct. I tried creating a Pokémon training club account that was linked to my Google by using my same gmail. Now, it will let me log in to that acct. It is my avatar but with zero everything. I'm kinda freaking out that I've lost everything. [link] [comments] | ||
| OnePlus 5T and PoGo plus/screen settings Posted: 26 May 2018 08:08 PM PDT Hi all, I've done a search but can't find the answer. I am wanting to run PoGo with the plus but be able to lock or darken the screen to avoid burn in. I can't find a way to do. Is it possible? I love my phone but this is frustrating because I don't want issues with the screen as long as possible. Any ideas? Cheers [link] [comments] |
