Halo 4 and 5 User-Generated Content are down

As per Unyshek and a support thread on Halo Waypoint, user-generated content will be down for several days.

 

MAY 26 UPDATE - 3AM PT

The team has identified the issue affecting user-generated content in Halo 5 and Halo 4. While we work to fix this problem and restore functionality, features surrounding this content will remain offline and inaccessible to players.

Our teams are currently working diligently to restore full functionality as soon as possible, though we expect UGC tools and content to be offline for several days.

We will continue to provide further updates here as work progresses.

 

MAY 25 UPDATE - 5PM PT

We are aware of issues currently preventing players from viewing or accessing user-generated content (Forge maps, modes, and films) in Halo 5: Guardians and Halo 4.

The team will continue to investigate and provide updates as soon as they are available.

 

The Waypoint thread will be updated when information becomes available.

343i are actively working on these issues and are working through the weekend. Please be patient, as some have been working around the clock through the night.

I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I honestly do prefer Master Chief's armour in Halo 4/5 to the previous versions.

While a large amount of 343's armour designs are atrocious (looking at you Seeker),I honestly do like what they did with Chief. Don't get me wrong, I loved the original armours that Bungie made, but I was always a little bothered by how slim they were, it made me think that Chief had to be pretty skinny to fit in them.

But now, he looks like a walking tank that could bench press a Hunter, and he also now has the build you'd suspect a 7'2 tall super soldier would have. There are still some problems I have with it, like the chest being a bit over designed, the shoulder pads looking a bit out of place, and the plastic look it got in Halo 5, but all-in-all it's still my favourite of Chief's armours.

If there is no Halo 6 tease at E3 this year then its quite possible that Halo 6 might not even be a 2019 game.

This is something I don't see anyone talking about. I think its clear now that Halo 6 will not be a 2018 game; there just isnt enough time for an announcement and a beta and a release. Most people now are assuming a 2019 Halo 6 then but thats really only if E3 2018 gives us an announcement. What if it doesn't?

Halo is something that has always been announced at E3 and for there to be a beta(that actually matters) it would have to be in earlyish 2019 before 2019's E3. This means that unless they do something completely unprecedented and announce the game's existence and launch the beta at the same time then if there is no Halo 6 whatsoever at E3 2018 then we might not even see Halo 6 til 2020.

So I haven't had Xbox live for a while now due to work. Now that I'm back I'm shocked that only 36 people are playing halo 3! Crack open your ODST game case and put in your halo 3 map pack. It's time for some matchmaking!

Edit. So I plugged in my headset to prepare for a game with new friends but it won't charge. So anyone who plays with me tonight is playing with a silent Pete :/

Halo: First Strike game.

Imagine a game version of the novel First Strike. It would be Halo 2 style, switching between playing as Master Chief in the aftermath of Halo CE and Fred on the surface of Reach, then eventually meeting up to destroy the Unyielding Hierophant. It would be badass
