Multiplayer Size for Cold War Crisis (Cold War Assault)?

Posted: 27 May 2018 09:00 AM PDT

I am doing some research into the early history of multiplayer shooters and learned some vague details about how this game is reputedly the first release of combined-arms gameplay back in 2001 and paved the way for class-based multiplayer shooters.

Considering that this game is overshadowed by Battlefield 1942's release the following year, a game which boasted 64 players online, I want to learn anything I can about how these games are similar and different. One key detail would be the number of players who can be part of a match. Unfortunately, the information appears to be totally unavailable in most sites. It doesn't help that the servers were shut down years ago, making hands-on research into this matter difficult.

Some Zeus assistance?

Posted: 27 May 2018 07:42 AM PDT

I have a couple of problems that I can't seem to figure out the answer to. My group already has a zeus but he sometimes isn't on and at times I've done them and they seem to like it except I don't know how to set up a few things to make it as realistic as we'd like. For isntance:

  1. How to get rid of the 'Enter to Revive' button. In my friends game you have to use the ACE Medical system to revive people but in mine, once you go down that comes up and I can't seem to figure it out.

  2. How to get the map indication of a player. What I mean by this is, anything you put in the Eden editor cannot be moved in Zeus for some reason (It's kind of dumb) and so on the map when I'm in Zeus and on screen while flying around as Zeus I can't see my own team mates because theres nothing indicating that they are there. It also means I can't heal them if I decide too, or do anything to them and I would really like to know how to fix this.
