[Question] On playing a pure mage in cc Survival Mode on Legendary difficulty Posted: 27 Apr 2018 06:33 AM PDT I just started a Dunmer mage character and I've set the difficulty to Legendary and enabled Survival mode. I also have the cc camping/fire/backback additions. I've never done a run on this difficulty and this is my first run in Survival mode. At this point, I've only made it to Riverwood (but was nearly killed by the Embershard Mine guard shortly after getting the Mage Stone). I'd like to play as a pure mage, so no armor, and the only weapon permitted will be a dagger. I think this will probably be especially difficult at the outset. I wonder if my self-imposed restrictions will be too much in this mode -- hunting with a bow seems easier than chasing down animals with Flames just now, but I'd rather avoid using bows. Also, I'm guessing mage robes won't cut it in the cold regions. So, has anyone else played with similar restrictions and how did you cope with hunger/hunting and warmth?
