I literally only have about 90 mins in casual pvp play. I have no god damn clue what I am doing, and every lobby I am in i am nervous as shit (even though it's casual) because I don't want to upset my team.

I try to pick rook when I am defending because he seems simple enough for me, or kapkan.

I was in a lobby and my team and I were not doing too well. The team was all silent except one player. He sounded very young, and kept calling out random things which I'm assuming was important information for the team. He addressed me for something but I typed in chat that I was new and had no idea what that meant. I thought oh boy here we go, going to be berated by a typical internet raging kid. I was so wrong. He instantly replied on his mic that it's all good and I should follow him around and he will help me. He spent so much time trying to tell me what was going on and what we needed to do.

After another round someone else from our team starts talking. He sounds much older, around my age (I am 29). He just starts abusing this kid. Telling him to shut up and stop talking etc. The kid defends himself and says he is trying to help me. I am backing this guy up in chat. But another team mate joins in on the assault and really start abusing this kid.

It wasn't very nice. He ends up leaving the game. I sent him a friend request and thanked him for his help and apologised about what happened. He sounded a bit down about it but that was about it.

My team didn't even care that I wasnt doing diddly squat. They just didn't like this young person talking on the mic to help me. Ridiculous. But in saying that, it really gave me a wakeup call too. There's some really nice young people out there and they're not all rattled ex call of duty killstreakers.
