Alpha 17 Drop?

Afternoon Folks,

I know Joel made some videos recently with updates on the new vehicles/game engine, but has anyone heard when we might potentially see the A17 drop?

I would look at the funpimp forums, but the dev diary thread is massive and the search function on their forums suck. Just wanted to put out a feeler and see if anyone else has heard anything concrete or are we all just waiting?

Any way to get player info on server?

I have not been able to find details on the forums but is there a way you can access player info on your server?

I want to setup a website that will show the players that play on the server and their level, etc.

Is there any way to get that data? I do not want to change anything just view it.

Why are wolves so op?

Probably a noob question, but I am a noob so...

I managed to make it to day 16 without a death, and had encountered wolves before, but mostly avoided them...then I got jumped by a pack of 4 wolves...insta-death. I had full leather armor on and they still took me out in 4 hits, which, there being 4 of them, was basically instantly. Further, they run faster than you can sprint, so why the hell is this a thing? It kinda seems way too op, especially so early in the game.

A New Approach to 7 Days to Die

You start the game infected. You have 7 days to find the cure to the infection or you die. The unique storyline takes you on an adventure further and further away from the starting area completing various quests in search of the cure. Game difficulty, features unlock, and loot scale with you as you travel further from the starting zone.

After finding the cure, the main storyline continues to take you into increasingly challenging areas with many unique weapons and game features in search of the source of the infection.

Difficulty

The starting area on the server is moderately difficult. However, the difficulty scales to insane on the far reaches of the map as you continue through the main storyline. Loot is very rare to find and drops in minimal quantities. Zombies have custom movement settings and many will run after you. When you die, you lose everything and take a big penalty to your maximum health cap. This server is definitely geared towards experienced players looking for a good challenge.

Custom Mod

  1. 1,000+ custom items from simple things like a combat knife to sophisticated weapons like a flamethrower
  2. 300+ custom zombies and bosses
  3. Custom biomes
  4. Difficulty scales with progress and distance from beginning
  5. Custom skill system
  6. Also contains some of the base War of Walkers mod
  7. Huge map size! 300x size of normal map
  8. Extremely high performance / no lag server

Cash Prizes

$2,375.00 in cash prizes.

Completing Main Storyline

First Team: $700.00 Second Team: $350.00 Third Team: $150.00 Any Team: $50.00 (Up to 10 additional teams)

Finding the Cure

Adding mods to a server midway

Hey chaps, so I am renting a server for myself and a few mates, and we are on day 70 (just passed). I've added a few small mods as time has gone on but nothing world breaking:

Allocs Fixes (for the webmap) A few config tweaks for better item stacking

The thing is, we are getting a touch fed up currently as the hordes arent a huge challenge, although they are full of fun specials and take the entire night. The base we have holds up pretty well to them although not without us helping. We started working on a drop base surrounding our spiked and walled base but its a lot of work and theres no huge insentive with our current enemies.

The thing we were looking at adding was Valmod expansion. And I'm curious if thats something we can add halfway through a game. We would enjoy having lots of new stuff to explore but the expansion apparently adds class systems, and I dont know how that would affect our current levels (I am about lvl140).

Has anyone got experience of adding it midway through a playthrough?

Any recourse?

day 40 in my own game, a user comes in and somehow robs my chests and starts chasing me throwing molotov cocktails at me. but i can never see the person. they're in my game maybe 5 minutes and all my stuff is gone. is there anything i can do about this? is this somebody using a hack?

edit: the user's name was either Lizardlady or Lizard lady
