As the title says, I bought this game yesterday. For some reason, it is like the hardest game and I can not get the hang of it. I was finally doing good, and got chased by a hoard of 8 zombies, ran, and then got attacked by a dog and died. Sos homies, I play on the PS4.

What is the quickest way to get your tool level up in the early game?

Hi. New to the game. Currently on day 13 of my first real playthrough.

I watched a few YouTube Let's Play's and copied the tactic of mass crafting stone axes to get the level up. It didn't work as well as in the videos and just consumed so much time, and I've now realised the game was patched in A16 to make the mass craft less effective.

Can anyone update me on the best way to level tools up now? Is it still worth mass crafting? I have still managed to get my tool level up to 350 already. Should I be pumping levels into something? Or is there something I'm missing?

I played it a long while back and there's quite a lot I liked about it but there was a big question mark over it's challenge. I can only assume they're been addressed.

How accessible is the game, is there much in the way of a tutorial?
