I think we should be able to click either of those Eye icons in Achievement Watchlist, to toggle the watchlist. It hides the daily achievement for the map, or gamemode, you're playing, so you either have to add all these dailies to the list, or untrack all the ones you're watching.

Updated GW2TacO markers for Super Adventure Box Tribulation mode

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 05:51 PM PDT

This is a new version of the marker pack I've been sharing for 3 years now. I fixed the route so that stun breaks are not needed in w2z1 anymore. Make sure your dodge bar has enough energy in it to dodge!

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1s_Zcs2OsmMwxd1SSFeAfBsJJQzJXQH4n

Place the .zip file in your GW2TacO folder and unzip it so that the "POIs" and "Data" folders in the .zip will merge with the ones in the GW2TacO folder.

To turn off GW2TacO's default markers, click the Taco > Filter Displayed Tactical Markers -> Festivals -> Sab -> Uncheck "TribulationTrail"

[Research] Drop Rates of Materials from Foes and Influence of Magic Find

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 11:28 AM PDT

Just dumped a bunch of test results on mob kills and the effects of magic find on different types of drops over on the official forums.

https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/35063/research-drop-rates-of-materials-from-foes-and-influence-of-magic-find

Some interesting summary findings:

It appears that on kill you first roll on a table that is (approx %): No drop 55%, "Material Drop" 40%, Gear Drop ~5%. Magic find has no apparent effect on this. Gear has weapons and armor, material has stuff like junk, salvage items, crafting mats and lodestones.

Once you successfully roll say, a material drop, a second MF influenced roll determines what you get based on that foe's allowable drops. So, a spider can drop junk or a venom sac. Higher MF gets you more venoms and fewer junk. The sum total of the two will still be around 40 per 100 kills regardless of MF.

-Magic find to drop % is apparently scaled by a factor of 1000%, that is, you need 1000% MF to double your chances of dropping crafting mats from kills vs. getting junk instead.

-Actual % drop chances show a lot of consistency across different mobs and drop types. For example, the chance of getting a miner's bag from a dredge appears to be the same as for getting a venom sac from a spider. MF scaling is the same for both too.

-I posted a basic model that can be used to reconstruct anticipated drop tables, help pick good mob types to farm, or help make sense of your own drop rate testing

Same prefix Rings with different Stats

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 06:31 AM PDT

So I dropped a Malicious Besieger Ring a few weeks back in the Escort Event. Set that to Seraph-Stats and did the same with a Black Ice Ring from Bitterfrost Frontier. Shouldn't they have the exact same stats? At first I wasn't sure if I actually chose the same prefix on both but since the Escort-Ring is just worse all across the board....... https://i.imgur.com/DOu5hFX.png

Did we ever get a reason for why the Griffon was changed to be so clunky?

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 09:57 AM PDT

I remember some amount of outrage when the dive function of the Griffon was changed, but it seemed to have died off. Did we ever get an explanation? Why they decided to make the Griffon clunky to use?

It went from easily my most used pet to now being pretty rarely used overall...Unless I happen to be starting from a VERY high point, the Jackal is just quicker.

I mean, there's multiple vista points like the one I was trying to jump off today that I always feel like I can use my Griffon and glide around the map, but I end up crashing into the ground and switching to Jackal.

I did eventually get the glide to work from that spot, but it took me 3 tries to find the right angle. It used to work so easily! Why was it ever changed, and is there any chance of it being put back? It really is upsetting to me.

So I take it map bonus reward trains became obsolete?

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 05:49 AM PDT

Even as recent as last year I remember seeing trains even during "off peak" hours in Frostgorge Sound during Week 2 for that sexy Blood, but nowadays I rarely if ever see a tag up in events. What killed the reward trains?

Sister Triad Theory

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 07:40 PM PDT

I mentioned this theory about the Sister Triad I had in post I made on r/woodenpotatoes that I'm interested in opinions on.

Here is the link to the thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/WoodenPotatoes/comments/89vr9r/could_the_sinister_triad_soon_be_a_threat/

This thread does contain summarized spoilers of HoT, LS3 and some current events of LS4 to support this theory.

Good condition stats... opinions?

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 07:25 PM PDT

First of all, let me say that I do not want power. That doesn't mean that I am automatically against any stat set with power in it, but it does mean that things like Rampager's are the exact opposite of what I want. I'm tired of these builds that only care about power/precision/ferocity.

So. I want good condition stats. Ideally, I would love Trailblazer's, but due to the price, those are next to impossible. I'd rather not go for Viper's, because that's still a heavy focus on power/precision.

Currently, I am running Dire stats with runes of the undead. This is for a condition damage Engineer. I'd rather not be a glass cannon either.

I'm considering celestial, because that would be fun, and while it would require an edit to my build, I still wouldn't be turning into a glass cannon.

What are my options?

Dungeon running community (EU)

Posted: 04 Apr 2018 12:24 AM PDT

Alright, yes, I know what you're thinking...dungeons in 2k18? Are you crazy? dead content, lul.

However I'm sure there still has to be at least a handful of people from the good old dungeon speed running days that didn't give up on them and still enjoy doing dungeons in a speed running manner purely for fun. Myself being one of these people I find it kind of hard to find people to run them with, seeing as my friends don't always have the time - so it got me wondering whether there still are some guilds/communities around on EU (there are raid/fractal guilds, so why not dungeons right?) that actually focus on running daily dungeons. Anyone knows any? :D

I do realize this is more of a /r/guildrecruitment/ post but I did try my luck in there already with no response, so I figured I'd try here since this one is obviously way more frequented, hope it's not all that rule-breaking. Cheers and have a nice day everyone o/
