| Money: What to do pre-assassination missions Posted: 27 Apr 2018 08:02 PM PDT There have been quite a few guides to the assassination missions, how to do them, what stocks to buy. They are all very informative, but there's one thing missing: How to get money BEFORE them. After all, +80% of 500k is a lot more than +80% of 5k, so it's important to do as much as possible before the hotel assassination. First, cut expenses. Get gold on all shooting range challenges, each character, for the 25% AmmuNation discount. And, try not to get wasted, that burns cash. Then, there are quite a few good missions to do before the hotel assassination. Some are character specific, some can be done by anyone. Mission: Jewelry store heist. Pick smart version, driver Karim Denz, gunman Packie McReary, hacker Rickie Lukens. That should yield $1,223,073 for Michael and $293,530 for Franklin. Immediately have Franklin buy Smoke on the Water for $250k. It'll be paid back in 22 in-game weeks. You'll also have Trevor buy Mckenzie Field, that pays for itself in 22 air missions or 30 ground missions. Keep track. Run through the story past the Merriweather Heist and Blitz Play. At this point, stop progression. Do NOT do the hotel assassination, there is a lot of work remaining. As Michael: Run the Epsilon story line, yielding about $2 million. As Trevor: As anyone: Got all that done? There's also random robberies and atm muggings, I'm leaving them out as they don't amount to much. At this point, you are almost ready to do the hotel assassination. Make sure it's been 22 weeks and you have done 22 air missions as Trevor, so Smoke and Mckenzie are paid off. If not, keep playing. You can have Trevor do chain sleeps (12 hrs each) to burn time, getting the 22 weeks. Lastly, here's my strat for the Hotel Assassination. Post-mission Once again, invest all the money of all three characters, but this time choose Bilkinton Research. Their share price has cratered, but will start to recover within about 72 in-game hours. It should fully mature to its pre-assassination level in another 72 in-game hours. The percentage of return here can easily surpass 100%. Timeline: Lastly, there's a random event, taking a stockbroker to the airport. He tells you to invest in TNK for about a 30% return. Skip that event until very end game, after you've done the other assassination missions and made your billions. Then do it for 30% more on top of what you have already. Hope this helps! After doing the gunrun to los santos, i was rewarded with 75k... So I did all that work to break even... Am i missing something? [link] [comments]  |
| Solo Sell Missions Smuggler’s Run Posted: 27 Apr 2018 05:10 PM PDT I'm a money grinder that has always stayed away from the hanger business but with the double $ I decided to give it a go. Yeah the supply missions are somewhat difficult but I found them very enjoyable. When I got to the sell missions however, I couldn't help but become frustrated. My first time I got the Morgul and the police shot that down, and next time I got the Hunter and the NPCs shot me out of the sky. Am I missing something about these sell missions or did rockstar really make them this difficult for solo players? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 27 Apr 2018 03:52 PM PDT So I'm in the middle of whether or not I want to get the buzzard or cargobob. Obviously the cargobob is good for the car deliveries yet the buzzard is really good for special cargo runs (especially since I normally do the 3 case so going back and forth is easier. But is special cargo missions better than the car delivery. Both copters cost the same so I just need to know which would be better in the long run for money making [link] [comments]  |
