How I got my rat companion.

As promised I'm making an update post. Unfortunately the rat never did manage to make his way back to me even after I left my character AFK waiting for him all night.

However, as promised I will post a couple of simple pictures explaining how to replicate what I did. I'm pretty sure that it's an RNG thing and might happen at any chest that you can open with a silver key, but if you want to sit here and try the chest I did then go right ahead.

If you do get a rat just remember these things I discovered.

He's very slow so you need to slowly walk with him anywhere you want to go.

He appears to have some form of pathing, but it may not be that great.

He appears to be incapable of going through solid objects so if you're on the other side of impassable terrain then he'll likely get confuzzled and bug out.

Finally, he's kinda pointless. Unless you want to RP as having a rat as a companion then as far as I know he can't be interacted with, damaged, nor does anything besides follow you around.

Also despite people claiming he comes from a quest I find this to be false. I confirmed already that the rat in question is an RNG thing to come out of the chest which needs silver keys, so more than likely he's just a little easter egg meant to be like a bad roll or something, or perhaps he's the secret to unlocking PEN, I have no clue.

I opened up a chest with a silver key and a rat popped out. It's really small, kinda slow, and can't be interacted with. For whatever reason it just follows me around.

Does it have a purpose? Is it just an easter egg? Do i need to sacrifice people to it to get PEN?

EDIT- I have successfully recovered him from his origin point of Marni's Lab. I am currently leading him back to Velia.

I have discovered 2 things of interest: He is very slow so I have to walk slowly for him to keep up. I'm also not entirely sure if he has pathing enabled, so it would seem he might not be able to turn corners or anything, just move in a straight line towards me. I'll have to test that second one abit further.

I'm also not sure if it'll remain after I move far enough away or if it'll disappear if I die or log off. I'll hold off on testing that for now.

EDIT 2- I think I've confirmed that it does infact have pathing, but if it's in a location that locks pathing like Marni's Lab or the Desert(Might test the desert) then it can only follow in a straight line. That also means he's not like normal pets and must beable to actually reach you, otherwise he could probably get left behind.

I also don't think it'll disappear if you move far away from it. I ran well out of render distance down a long road and he still managed to follow me even though it took him a minute to catch up.

EDIT 4- If anyone is waiting on an update, I attempted a test that may have ended in failure. I managed to slow walk him all the way to delphe castle while on my way to velia, but I decided I wanted to test just how much distance he could handle. He's a slow boi at about less than half my walk speed. I ended up doing some tests to see if he could handle pathing around objects, and with some minor results that looked promising, I booked it to velia and stood at the entrance to wait for him.

I want to guess atleast 40 minutes have gone by but unfortunately no rat. Gonna path back and forth between delphe and velia looking for him, but if I can't find him then this may be the end to the short lived story of my new friend.

EDIT 5: Final Edit- Unfortunately still no sight of the rat, assumed despawned at this point. It's also time for me to call it quits and log off for the day, but fear not for I still have hope. I'll leave myself AFK in the middle of the Western Guard camp and have my character there waiting for him incase he's just being painfully slow about making his way to me.

Once I log back on tomorrow morning I'll make a new post detailing where you can go to try to get your own rat, and depending on the outcome of my AFK waiting I'll let you know what happened in the end. Until then you all have a nice day and lets hope the rat survived, because if so then that means he has more potential as a permanent companion that can actually manage to follow you instead of requiring you to slow walk him everywhere.

Dual-Monitor FPS Drops

Helloo, as the title already says, i have serious fps drops when i am watching a video on second screen. It only appears in BDO. Any other Game for example Witcher 3 is working just fine. Does somebody have the same problem or knows how to fix it?

[SUGGESTION] Weight Limit and rerolling.

Hello. I heard that they would listen to the community and players now, so why not come up with the suggestion that weight limit is either account bound, or that you can purchase a weight limit transfer like the life skill XP. It would make the rerolling so less stressful.

In my eyes you can't really enjoy this game without weight limit if you want to grind effective.
