Living World Season 4: "A Bug in the System" devs here – ask us anything! Posted: 06 Mar 2018 02:00 PM PST Hey everyone! Today we are proud to release the next episode of our latest Living World season, "A Bug in the System"! In this release you'll get to explore the Sandswept Isles and make new allies as you battle against an Inquest cube in addition to Joko's Awakened forces. A new legendary dagger can be crafted representing the legacy of the charr and their legions. New health bar controls have been added to the options menu to make it easier to keep track of your allies. Mystlock Instabilities will now rotate each week making delving into the Fractals a fresh experience. New search-results filtering has been added to Looking For Group. Continuing with our tradition members of the development team will be joining me here for a chance to celebrate the release and you, the Guild Wars 2 community. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 03:00 PM PST https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4DhSrr6vZc when wielded, the four colored gems representing the charr legions light up: red for blood, light blue for iron, dark indigo for ash, and gold for the best legion which is of course flame legion the draw effect engulfs you in a flaming aura and shows fiery silhouettes of four charr, one from each legion, surrounding the large charr silhouette that rises from your body--essentially, them kneeling to you as the khan-ur. notice that the color of each charr's eye flash indicates which legion they represent, and what's most notable is that the khan-ur's gold eyes are identical to those of the charr representing flame legion. this, of course, is irrefutable proof of flame legion's greatness as it boldly displays how flame legion is the one true legion destined to rule over the other lesser legions. the projectile effect is a sort of crescent moon that carries a satisfying schwinggg and leaves a bright, pink trail behind shortly before it disappears. i think it'd be nicer if the pink trail showed up immediately rather than only when the projectile is near its end and about to disappear. i beseech anet to play such unique sound effects for all attacks, not just projectiles just like how other legendaries, such as HOPE and Chuka, play unique sound effects for all attacks. targets you strike with the weapon will glow orange and display beams of light. the effect looks quite nice when striking multiple targets with a ranged attack, which gives it a holosmith flavor. footfalls leave behind glossy pawprints, which can shine brilliantly if the light hits them just right, but otherwise, i think they're a little too dark and should be more vibrant by default. tldr: best legendary for flame legion because fire aura and because it proves that only flame legion is best legion [link] [comments] | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Posted: 06 Mar 2018 01:22 PM PST They finally added an "alternative" to butternut squash except that it's 80 power/60 ferocity AND it requires a new cooking item, bottle of coconut milk. The coconut milk is purchased from a heart vendor for 249 karma plus 1 of the new currency, Diflourite Crystal. These are not as plentiful as Kralkatite ore is...these are more like Bloodstones. This is hopefully a mistake, right? [Suggestion] Show Player Dots In PvE Posted: 06 Mar 2018 03:28 PM PST I'm primarily a WvW/PvP player, so maybe this is something I notice more than others, but playing through the new patch today made me realize something: Open World PvE feels really empty. Even if a map is full, I feel like I barely ever see anyone. I know that having a bunch of dots on the map could be annoying to some, so I'd like a toggle for it if it was implemented, but I think it'd go a long way towards making PvE feel a bit more alive, and lead to more situations where random players might meet up and start playing with each other. The system already exists, so I imagine it wouldn't be impossible to create a toggle for this. Please Add Swing Effects To The New Legendary Dagger Posted: 06 Mar 2018 02:28 PM PST In my opinion, the new legendary dagger would be amazing if it just had this one thing: swing particle effects, just like The Shining Blade, The Incinerator, Bolt, etc. Even some of the black lion skins have a particle trail and this weapon that is supposed to be one of the most important artefacts in GW history does not! Don't get me wrong, I like the dagger! It's the perfect thematic opposite to the flashy Incinerator and I love it! I crafted it one hour after it was released, but the fact that NONE of my spellbreaker weapon skills were affected by it left me a bit disappointed. Everything else was fantastic, the draw effect is eye candy and the bloody footfalls are exactly what I want my charr warrior to have, on top of the design which is marvellous, exactly how it's written in the books! Anet please make the "Geyser Boost" skimmer ability permanent. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 02:37 PM PST It's an ability used only for a skimmer race in the new map that allowed u to do a "floaty" jump a bit higher than usual with the skimmer, feels really smooth and I think the skimmer could use some versatility with it being one of the more unpopular/unused mounts. Can we talk about the new fractal instability on CM? Posted: 06 Mar 2018 11:41 AM PST So I just did a cm100 after patched, and guess what is the new instability in cm100 for this week? Last laugh, toxic trail and afflicted. It literally makes the 2nd boss a chaotic hellhole to do. It's not even funny, we cleave down the adds spawned, they then manage to stack on top of each other and start exploding and afflict tons of conditions on everyone. We manage to hit to 2nd phase with adds running around with toxic trail inside the safe bubble... then the boss laser hit my down body which got afflicted thanks to the same toxic trail and we wiped. We redo it and hit 2nd cc phase, this time there are a bunch of projectiles flying around which also afflicts player with conditions and its end in me getting a bug report and crash... Can someone please tell me this isn't gonna be a real thing because I really don't enjoy this "new" cm100. Making mobs spam conditions and rng non-sense ain't gonna make CM100 "challenging" or "encourage skilled gameplay". This just means 5 necros meta is back. New food recipes in Sandswept Isles Posted: 06 Mar 2018 12:49 PM PST So, there are 3 new recipes in the new map (maybe more, only completed this heart so far), and they seem to be another way to get condi, healing and power food. The condi and healing foods seem to give correct stat increases (+100/70), while the power one only gives (+80/60). Will this be good enough to serve as a replacement for Butternut Squash Soup, assuming the weaker stat buff was intended and not accidental? [link] [comments] |
