Posted: 28 Feb 2018 01:00 PM PST Yes. We need more cosmetics. We all know DBD is a grindfest. However, a lot of us don't mind it since there's those Prestige cosmetics waiting for us in the end. Or that event reward. Those make people play the game way more than they would for simply it's mechanics, as much as I like them and want them to shine. I've done it myself, I've played DBD like I've never played just to get the event's rewards and I know a lot of us here did this too. So, the thing is: Cosmetics make people play the game. Way more than they would otherwise. We like customization, we like rewards for the grindfest. We like variety and to stand out. So, please. For us and for yourselves, turn DBD into a dress-up grindfest. Completed 100 gens with Min? Pants with tools cosmetic. Killed 50 with the Pig's trap? Bronze weapon cosmetic. Rescued 50 different survivors with Bill? Jacket full of medals cosmetic. Things like those would suffice to make people play as if their lives depended on it. Because we know people want this. There has been threads about this. Lots of people are playing for the event's Jacket and they don't even play David King. Some don't even play Killer and are busting their asses off just for the Huntress' mask! Hell, they pay for those as DLCs, even if most of us don't want to. We want to be rewarded for playing the game and taking part in the grindfest, not just in a timed event, but in the game as a whole and in more ways than just bloody clothes. You want money? Make a fugton of cosmetics and open the marketplace for us to sell/buy them. Shower us in cosmetics and we will shower DBD in even more hours of gameplay. I wouldn't even mind if this got a chapter or two delayed. And please, other players, speak up your mind in the comments. I know I'm not the only one thinking this for the whole duration of the event. We need to raise our voices for the devs to listen to us. :) [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 28 Feb 2018 09:52 AM PST Not trying to call BS on the Devs or anything, so I'm really sorry if this sounds hostile. To be honest, I always saw the Prestige outfits as ugly, not worth resetting you levels over, and always thought they were actually quite lazy. I mean, it's just a bloody texture thrown on to the clothing. I am probably really incorrect in this assumption, but I can't help but feel this way. A lot of the outfits in Dead by daylight have been pallet-swaps of a few of the same outfits, the same goes for Prestige. To anyone in game design, specifically in art I suppose, how difficult would it be to throw the bloody texture on other outfits? I mean this really has confused me, every time Mathieu is asked about it, he really emphasizes that it would be ''sooooo much work!''. I'm a bit frustrated that it takes herculean effort to throw an ugly texture onto clothing. Can anyone shed some light on how much work this actually is? [link] [comments] | ||

I'm talking about a possible in-game mechanic.
I mean - both killers and survivors are slaves of the Entity. Killers are even more so - because they are linked directly to it. And if Entity can be "displeased" then it can show it somehow.
For example, if someone has escaped - the Killer can see some terryfying visage (like Doc's face in Madness 2). Or hear some threat.
Or it can be a whole scene after a match. 4-man match - Killer is being rewarded by his God. 0-man match - punished. Nothing kinky, of course (it'll explain the thoroughly abused Wraith's appearance though).
Survivors are going through all kinds of terrible shit during a match. Killer can only be slightly stunned or temporarily blinded. Lore-wise - the stakes are very uneven.
Once again - I know that it's hard for Killers already. Just thinking that some more Entity presence can do good for the game [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 28 Feb 2018 08:37 AM PST Matchmaking is so broken, especially during certain times of the day (for me, it's from around 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. est that it's wonky). I was a rank 13 killer (average 12-13 depending on the month and how much I play), but after being paired consistently with ranks 1-5's that run circles around me all day, I'm now rank 16. It's bullshit. Isn't the whole point of a ranking system to keep people of similar skill in one group? I'm very patient with literally every bug this game has except for their screwy matchmaking. If you're going to have a rank system, then use the god damn rank system accordingly when pairing people together. Otherwise, might as well just do away with rank all together and have random lobbies like F13 does because that's essentially what this game feels like half of the time anyway. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 28 Feb 2018 11:13 AM PST Killer Power: God's Hand Hold the left mouse button to charge up your power and release to launch a projectile which whenever it hits a wall will corrupt it with the entity's power allowing you to see and move through a hole created at the location the projectile impacted. The survivor cannot see or move through the hole and will only see entity burn on the affected area. The hole will remain for 10 seconds and will disappear if another one is created. Addons: Ultra rare: any survivors within 10 meters of the hole are revealed (Less effective very rare version aswell) Ultra Rare: Survivors can not see any signs of the hole (No entity burns on the wall) Very Rare: 2 holes can be created at the same time. In addition there are other addons which would increase the time that the holes remain and any other effects you could think of(let me know and i might add them) Perks: Entity's favor: While the Entity does not give overt advantages to its servants, it does tend to bend the rules to accommodate. Survivors who are on a hook will progress through stage 1 25/50/75% faster, but 25/50/75% slower through stage 2. This perk is good for hooking a survivor and getting them into stage 2 as quickly as possible so when you hook them next it would be instantly sacrificed. Ecstasy: Your intense desire to pursue your targets brings you to a state of intense focus. When in a chase, your fov is considerably/moderately/slightly reduced and darkened, however the survivor whom you are chasing is highlighted and their aura is revealed for 2/5/7 seconds after losing sight of them. The Idea about this was a perk solely for providing an advantage to tunneling rather than wanting one person dead. Blood-soaked Bounty: Every drop of blood you draw from the survivors excites the entity whose power is channeled to you. Whenever you strike a survivor, the successful attack animation is 50/30/25% longer, however you are not slowed down by it. In addition, at tier 3 of the perk, survivors auras are revealed to you for 5 seconds after striking a survivor. (applies to hatched, chainsaws etc.) [link] [comments] | ||
