EPL's Facebook stream is embarrassingly bad

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 12:05 PM PDT

It literally freezes every few seconds and starts buffering. Impossible to watch. It's been like this since day 1. Meanwhile ECS is running at the same time on Youtube and ive had 0 issues so far. Stream runs smoothly, great quality, rewind feature, friendly interface and chat. ECS are totally kicking ESL's ass and I see no reason to choose EPL over them. Just my two cents.

Natus Vincere should change line-up: detailed analysis of Na'Vi problems

Posted: 15 Mar 2018 05:00 AM PDT

It's translation of the original article, posted in Russian here: https://cyber.sports.ru/tribuna/blogs/csgopopolochkam/1614664.html

Since ESL One New York 2016 fans of Natus Vincere have been feeling anxiety constantly: that tournament gave hope, Na'Vi with S1mple had all the opportunities to become really top team, but all the time we see only gleams of the decent play (DH Winter 2017, Starseries S4), but no more than this. Besides one obvious reason, there are few less visible issues. Let's talk about all of them.

Zeus and Edward* Let's start from the easiest one, about what community talks a lot and often. Yes, Zeus won the Major last year and Edward was really top player five (or more) years ago, but Zeus did it with Gambit and now is 2018 (not 2010).

Natus Vincere stats 1.0/2.0 https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.picshare.ru%2Fuploads%2F180309%2F5LLjFhfx38.png Everything is clear here. S1mple plays stable and wins for his team a lot of rounds, maps and games. Further - more difficult: to understand why low rates of Zeus of Edward is the half of the problem let's talk about how Na'Vi play.

How Na'Vi should (might) play in optimal conditions S1mple There's an opinion that Na'Vi plays on S1mple. It's not true at all: S1mple doesn't need any help from the team and able to win/make a kill (or simply don't fail) in any situation. He doesn't depends on other Natus Vincere players and might play as lurker. Ingame roles of Flamie and Electronic in ideal conditions are very close: two young players that can carry the game if got at least one decent support for both. It's not a problem, but feature. Egor and Denis just got different mind than S1mple.

Zeus and Edward should perform as supports this situation and here we have the problem. Both of them can play decently in 2 games out of 10, but it's not enough at all to be top team. But if we take a look at rate table higher - it's a typical results on Na'Vi after the game. Zeus and Edward are unable to play normally due to age and lack of motivation.

Most recent and bright example of failure (for Zeus) is the Mirage in Starseries final - 8 kills in 40 rounds. Very nice. https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc834403%2Fv834403344%2Feabde%2FuDrDTLZwV0w.jpg

Consequences Na'Vi got the independent S1mple and four other players. Whenever someone from couple Zeus-Edward plays decently, game becomes easier for Natus Vincere. When one of them are fine - Flamie and Electronic got the real support, when both - Na'Vi unstoppable. But when at least one of Zeus-Edward couple perform extremely bad (that happens often) - Na'Vi go into sadness - Electronic plays as a support. Denis hadn't used to play this position and feels himself uncomfortable. Next: Flamie get used to have a stable support, which Electronic can't be. So it goes. When Edward or Zeus play bad, Flamie and Electronic are being damager cauz of it and doesn't show even half of their potential.

Motivation and psychology One more big problem of whole team (only Electronic hadn't tilt seriously yet). If you take a look on Natus Vincere and its players you may think that it's series of "Brooklyn 9-9" or "The Friends". The most recent example: Na'Vi lost ECS qualifier to Godsent, right after that S1mple and Flamie tilted and didn't go to WESG (so Ukraine refused to participate and Hooch suddenly had to fly to Haikou and play CS:GO instead of being home with family on his 31th birthday). The most interesting thing is that bothof them says like "no-no, it's not a tilt, we got other reasons". Sorry, but if this is no tilt, then tilt doesn't exists all on the Earth.

*Map pool Guide to the Natus Vincere opponents: remove Overpass or Inferno from the draft and then prepare special tactits on the map that left (Na'Vi will pick it, be sure). Two big problems for Na'Vi for now: - Na'Vi don't play Cache; - Na'Vi is unable to play T-side on Mirage.

C5 Decision Tree (thanks Plexasm and Statshark) Spoiler: It's a little bit hard for people whonever met math algorithms (like me :D), but its very important moment and i can't miss it. Disclaimer: C5/See5 - math algorithm, researched by John Ross Quinlan. It is the latest version in this serie and one of the best and exact algorithms in the world.

Applying to CS:GO, it shows probability of winning the map, based on key players kills count and round won by the opponent. https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc824410%2Fv824410956%2Fe8176%2F9Rvy29IlW2U.jpg Dark part of column - percentage of maps won n - total maps, node - decision oCT / oT (more or less) - total rounds, won by opponent

https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc824410%2Fv824410956%2Fe816d%2F9S63IzE50UQ.jpg In the case of Na'Vi we see that algorithm agreed with me and thinks that Flamie and Electronic results are keys to understanding Na'Vi gamestyle. It seems like if Natus Vincere opponent wins nine or more rounds and Electronic got 19 and more kills - Na'Vi will win in 67% of games. On the other side, Na'Vi got no chances to win if both (Electronic and Flamie) got less than 18 kills. Interesting stats, right?

One more thing that we have notice is that Na'Vi ingame system is very simple and depends on 2 players (at least, result mostly depends)

Take a look at Cloud9 C5 tree: https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc824410%2Fv824410956%2Fe817f%2FM9O1vcLfc20.jpg

And now on math madness of mousesports: https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc824410%2Fv824410956%2Fe8188%2Fpcp9ZcFDtds.jpg

Direct ingame impact https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc840426%2Fv840426126%2F695d1%2Fu_LbYa7Dyhs.jpg

First death received / 4v5 play Na'Vi is the worst top10 team by 4v5 play https://cdn.tribuna.com/fetch/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpp.userapi.com%2Fc834403%2Fv834403344%2Feabe5%2Fr2tFiUF9V08.jpg It means they can't group up or make correct decision after first death taken.

What to do? 1. Get analyst or replace analyst 2. Get psychologyst or replace psychologyst 3. Replace Zeus (maybe with Ange1, liTTle or Sotfik) 4. Replace Edward (keshandr, facecrack, Jerry, somedieyoung, YEKINDAR)

Thanks. your innersh1ne
